Not that I don't always trust the press but I am pretty sure that they couldn't determine the cause of death, so how does the Sun know that she died in the most heinous manner? To me that alone puts the second statement in question. Was the fetus removed or were here reproductive organs removed? My thinking is that he didn't want to risk his sperm being preserved if the torso was found quickly, so he cut her reproductive organs out. Or perhaps the torso was from the waist up?

Im not saying she wasn't pregnant, she very well could have been, there is just no solid evidence that she was IMO.

Hadn't seen that full quote before. That would indeed suggest that she did take a test. Thanks.

Not that I don't always trust the press but I am pretty sure that they couldn't determine the cause of death, so how does the Sun know that she died in the most heinous manner? If she was pregnant, if she was advised by mom to take another test, perhaps she wasn't very far along yet? That would make the idea of removing a baby very difficult as it would be so incredibly tiny - leads me to believe organs may have been removed or mutilated.

I think that was confirmed by LE at one point though they didn't go in to much detail. So did he cut out the baby specifically or was that just collateral damage. One thing that is fairly likely is that if she was held for any length of time, she would have begged "let me go please, I'm pregnant". So if AS was aware of that fact, it is possible he went digging around in there for whatever sick reason.

I have no facts to back this up, but I wonder if he targeted her BECAUSE she was pregnant.

Speculation. JMO.

Unlikely she'd have even been showing yet if she was advised by her mom to take another test....so how would anyone even know, unless she directly told them or someone close to her did?

Apologies if this has been posted already, but:
LE has made an arrest in the murder of Rori's friend, Dominik Prusinski, also from Oshawa. The young man accused, whose name can't be released since he was a minor at the time, is already out on bail:

"DURHAM : A teen accused of stabbing Dominik Prusinski to death last January in Oshawa was released on bail following a hearing Friday afternoon.

The young man, who is now 18 but was 17 at the time of the stabbing in early 2017, has been charged with manslaughter and is free on $10,000 bail.

Additional terms of his release are that he reside with his surety, an aunt who lives in Scarborough; that he not possess weapons, and that he have no contact with several people connected to the investigation.

Reporting on evidence presented during the lengthy bail hearing, held Friday afternoon in Oshawa, is prohibited due to a publication ban. The identity of the accused is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Prusinski, 21, was stabbed on the evening of Jan. 8, 2017. He made his way into the Durham police station on Centre Street in Oshawa, where he collapsed. He indicated he?d been assaulted in a building nearby, police said.

Prusinski was rushed to hospital but later died of his injuries. An arrest was announced by Durham police Feb. 2.

The accused man, who was living in Toronto at the time of his arrest, sat calmly in the prisoner's dock throughout Friday's hearing. His mother was present for the hearing.

The accused teen is due back in court Feb. 27."

Some of us had speculated if Dominik's murder could be related to Rori's; I'm not sure if the perp here has any connection to AS. I haven't seen anything.

There was a loose tie to Rori's case since Dominik was a friend of Rori according to this article.

Since now we see a teen was arrested for Dominik's murder we can probably eliminate AS from consideration in his case once its proven the teen actually did it. I suppose we have to wait till that is proven in a court of law.

Due to multiple missing and/or murdered people in the general area and due to the gruesome nature of what was found in AS place there was early and understandable speculation that AS may have been involved with other murders.

The original list had no less than 5 people discussed because they were either missing or found to be murdered in the general area. I think we can eliminate Dominik from this list if the teen is proven to be his murderer and didnt one of the Powells ended up being found?

So maybe only 3 left can even be considered at this point? Or are we beginning to think maybe AS did only commit one murder when and if its proven he killed Rori?

I do remember looking up where Cameron's remains were found and I am pretty sure it was relatively close to where Rori's remains were found. The circumstances of how his remains were in the water had me wondering about a possible tie with AS case.

I'm intrigued to know what kind of dietary needs this guy has, I've seen what he eats. And I've never seen any mention of him doing any sort of exercise with the exception of him riding his bike to work.
