I should have added to "I haven't seen anything" --
linking Dominik's case to Rori's in the media. As the accused young man's identity is withheld by law, it's hard to sleuth.

Dietary needs....yeah its called he isn't getting to eat entire pizzas or whatever other junk he clearly lived off. Complaining about being on a diet basically when he hacked a girl (supposedly) to pieces. I HATE POSs like this.

As for Dominik, you can find the accused if you look at daily court lists if you know when his next date is, it might list the name. I am disturbed this individual is out on bail. I hate our justice system.

I'm intrigued to know what kind of dietary needs this guy has, I've seen what he eats. And I've never seen any mention of him doing any sort of exercise with the exception of him riding his bike to work.

If the "young man" is underage, his name won't be on the court docket.

I mean, AS's name isn't even on the court docket, for reasons unknown. Certainly if underage, it won't be though, by law.

"OSHAWA — Frustration boiled over for the mother of a murdered Oshawa teenager Tuesday when a man charged in connection with the case appeared in court to request yet another adjournment, then played cagey when pressed on when he plans to hire a lawyer.

Shanan Dionne, mother of slain teenager Rori Hache, stormed from a courtroom after Adam Strong said for the third week in a row he hasn’t hired a lawyer. He asked to received another weeklong adjournment, but was evasive when a justice of the peace asked if he expected to have counsel in place by then.

“I’m not ready to say that,” Strong, 45, said as his video appearance drew to a close Feb. 13."

"Although his Legal Aid application was approved in early January Strong has not yet hired a lawyer. This Week has learned he’s had discussions with at least two local lawyers."

With frustrations mounting, Rori’s mother Shanan spoke afterward. She says can’t believe the courts are “catering to this animal” and that the lack of progress during each of Strong’s appearances have been “nine slaps in the face in a row.”

Strong is charged with indecent interference with a dead body, but nothing related to Rori’s murder."

Strong has been in custody since late December of 2017, when police acting on a tip found the remains of 18-year-old Rori Hache in his basement apartment on McMillan Drive in downtown Oshawa. He is charged with indecent interference with a dead body.

I don't disagree. The criminal justice process should cater to the victims, not the perpetrators. But unfortunately, this is only the beginning of a long, frustrating, delayed road. I too, hate that it is this way.

He was told to have a lawyer by tomorrow or he would be forced to represent himself tomorrow when he sees the judge. The JP is tired of him continually putting it off

Adam Strong, charged in the death of Oshawa teen, still without lawyer

"Adam Strong is still without a lawyer.
Appearing in court via video Tuesday morning, Strong – who lived in an apartment where remains of Rori Hache, 18, were found – says he has had conversations with lawyers, but has not selected his representation.
When the judge asked him if he would like to speak with council in the courtroom, Strong said no.
The judge then said Strong is “churning in the system.” He was arrested at the end of December in connection with the pregnant teen’s death. Her torso was pulled out of Lake Ontario in September.
In an attempt to get the ball rolling with the case, the judge said Strong’s file would be passed along to another judge and he would appear via video again on Tuesday afternoon in another courtroom.
The judge added she respects Strong’s right to select his own council.
Strong has only been charged with improper/indecent interference with a dead body."

"For the tenth time in less than two months Rori Hache's mother has shown up
at the Oshawa Courthouse
to face the man accused in connection to her daughter's death.
From the beginning of the year AS's
hearings have been delayed since he has no lawyer.
But Hache's family learned today things can finally move along...
For the first time the case was moved to a courtroom with a Judge
who made it clear further delays won't be tolerated.
In court Strong denied his right for a bail hearing.
He also told the Judge that quote, "picking a lawyer was a big deal".
Strong was advised he needs to have a lawyer by tomorrow. ...
Strong will appear in front of the same Judge here in Oshawa tomorrow.
Hache's family will be here too hoping
they will finally be on the road to getting some answers."

BM could have been only charged with dismemberment as well, yet he has first degree murder charges across the board. I respect that we don't know exactly what evidence they have and don't have in both cases...but, seriously.

They have to form a connection between AS and RH. Until they know how she could have ended up there, laying any more charges could end badly. Knowing he’s not going anywhere anytime soon and this ignorance for the courts and the family, is really helping keep him where he is.

You forget that police had been investigating McArthur for months. They already had evidence that showed he was likely involved, but when they got hold of his old truck and positively identified the blood found in the trunk, that was the positive connection they needed. There are multiple victims with McArthur, which rules out the idea that the deaths were accidental. You can't rule that possibility out with Strong. IMO Strong will be charged with first degree murder, and that he likely lured RH to his home, held her against her will, sexually assaulted her, then killed her after he'd grown tired of her. Its going to take some pretty intense detective work to prove it but I'm confident that DRPS is committed to getting it done.
