http://www.ottawasun.com/2014/10/22/shots-fired-at-parliament-hill

A soldier was shot outside the war memorial that is situated just in front of Parliament Hill, and then t least 30 shots have been heard ON the hill.

Many of my friends are on lockdown as rumours of two shooters being on the loose are reported. It's rumoured that one was killed, but that there may be another.

Gunman sought after soldier shot at war memorial near Canadian Parliament building

Gunshots rang out at Canada's Parliament building Wednesday, with one soldier guarding the nearby National War Memorial shot and a gunman on the loose just days after a terror attack in Quebec shook the nation, officials said.

Shots were reported inside the building, in Ottawa, and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper was whisked away to a safe location as Royal Canadian Mounted Police converged on the complex in a hunt for the shooter, who was described as having long, black hair and toting a rifle or shotgun. Bernard Trottier, a Toronto-area MP, tweeted that the gunman inside Centre Block "has been shot and killed” but that could not be confirmed.

Harper “is safe and has left Parliament Hill,” Jason MacDonald, his director of communications, said via Twitter.

just an fyi, I'm not sure they've mentioned this on the news. But it does give you a moment to pause. There were the two soldiers run down yesterday in Canada, by the ISIS sympathizer. Previously it was the beheading of the soldier walking down the street. Now this.

Just something to think about

Canadian Parliament under lockdown after 'multiple' gunmen 'shoot soldier standing guard at the National War Memorial before opening fire in the Parliament halls'

Soldier's condition is unknown after he was shot in the abdomen at the National War Memorial in Ottawa shortly before 10am on Wednesday
Dozens of gunshots were then heard within the halls of Parliament
Police say there could be two or three gunmen and 'one or more' were reported to be on the roof of Parliament
Journalists inside the building reported hearing dozens of shots and seeing a body on the ground
Witnesses accounts of a suspect included descriptions of him as overweight, wearing a dark jacket and 'Arabic scarf'

On FOX News right now, they're saying there was also shooting at the Mall close to Parliament. So there are multiple shooters running around.

CNN speaking to McGinty (not sure who this is) - saw an abandoned car this morning, parked askew, no plates. Also says that shots reported at a mall not far away?
