CANADA Canada - Serial animal killer on the loose in London Ontario? - Dec. 2016

  • #221

OK WTH??? I was thinking maybe it was parts that someone dumped after butchering up to eat. Not the case here. Some deviant stuff going on in Pickering these days. Disgusting. This area is fairly residential so I hope someone saw something. People likely walking their dog, etc.

Officers located the animals around 10:30 a.m. after a passerby spotted the decapitated carcasses on the waterfront in the Beachpoint Promenade and West Shore Boulevard area.

"That area is pretty popular for people walking especially in the morning time," Const. George Tudos told CBC Toronto, adding that there would have been many people out on the nearby trail especially over the long weekend.

It's unknown yet whether the animals were dead before being decapitated.

"We want to know what the motives are behind the animals being decapitated and placed there on that beach," he said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Division Criminal Investigation Bureau or leave an anonymous tip with Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Police say those leaving tips might be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.

Do they know if there are any missing persons or homicides in that area that have been unsolved?

Could this some sort of offering? A ceremonial thing?

I think it was a full moon and there was a partial lunar eclipse.

Its red flags of a future serial killer, I wonder if LE is making any comparisons to violent acts on people in the city, it might escalate to that soon

Ok so banging drums were heard last night, fruit (limes) were found on the beach, around 10 rooster bodies (and at least 1 head), a lamb and a goat.

The animals were spread out all over the beach.

It seems to me like a sacrificial ritual.

Hard to say if it's related to all these other decapitated animals being found all over the damn province!

Seriously, folks, how many of these types are running around out there anyway?

WTF???

This is bizarre!!! Any anthropologist or something here with knowledge of this type of ritual/culture?? Of course, it could just be a nutcase! And where is this drum playing person getting all of the poor animals?

Maybe... Perhaps trying to please a water deity " calling out " ? speculation.rbbm.
Reece, a priest for the African Ifa religion which has similarities to Voodoo, said the placing of the birds would suggest it is part of a ritual.

'They might be wiping themselves with the bird, letting the blood and then having to discard the body,' Reece said.

He added that those who follow religions like Ifa often sacrifice birds and goats for protection or cleansing rituals.

The carcasses then have to be left in a place the 'deity is calling out for'

Buying them from farmers.

Not necessarily associated with all these bizarre cases involving mutilated animals, just noting for interest, imo, speculation.

"Welcome," the voodoo priestess says, dressed in a headdress and flowing white robes.

Voodoo temples such as this are said to have thrived for years in the homes of Haitian émigrés in Montreal, hidden from the judging eyes of outsiders. But now devotees have started a movement to bring voodoo and its rituals out of the shadows.

"I want to open my door. I want to tell people: We exist. We are not devil worshippers," said Ms. Delerme, a fourth-generation voodoo priestess, or mambo, who was born in Haiti but lived in the U.S. before settling in Montreal.

"We want to defend our culture and traditions," she said in her home on an ordinary suburban street in Montreal's West Island. "Voodoo is still being stigmatized."
Voodoo is a centuries-old belief that combines African religions with Western Catholicism; in Haiti, its public rehabilitation began after it was officially recognized as a religion in 2003. In Montreal, it's impossible to know the number of followers because of voodoo's covert nature. One expert said he's heard estimates ranging from 30 to 80 per cent of Haitian Canadians, overwhelmingly concentrated in Quebec.
He said voodoo is now in "transition" as Haitian Canadians organize and speak about it more openly. "No doubt it's still a great mystery to many people," he said.

Just signed back in after a long time out, been busy with work and the like. I was just searching the internet and discovered that London has been referred to as the Serial Killer capital of the world. I have seen a lot of references to this being the makings of a new serial killer (and have thought it myself for quite some time now) who is working their way up the ladder. If this proves to be true, then if and when he is captured, his story would send shivers down the spines of London's residents for years to come. Could this be what he is aiming for? He's already grabbed peoples' attention, now, in order to keep it, he's going to have to keep his pattern and maybe spice it up by including incidents that really cause people to stop and shudder at the thought of what he has done. If this person is still active, is he laying down a challenge to LE to stop him if they can by leaving "tokens" of his involvement? Just a few thoughts I've had since coming back.
