Going by the things that were said initially, the lack of any update, the family not being anywhere looking for answers, neither the husband, I think they know Shannon is alive. They may still be concerned, probably about her state of mind or her refusal to talk to them.

Early December no one had seen her after 12:37 am, perhaps after that people have stepped forward already mentioning to have seen her, whether to her family or the police, or Shannon may have contacted her family or the police indirectly.

Since she is an adult and her family continuing to say there is very little they can do, I assume this is the situation, for whatever reason or minor issue. Sometimes people get fed up, move away, planned ahead. Even so, her family and husband may not know where she is and she probably has not contacted them. There could be one clue for example if she took her dog with her or something else that is relevant to her and that being an indication to her family she did not just vanish.

The FB group page 'Missing Manitoba Women' posted about Shannon on Dec. 12th….curious if they got their info by their own speculation of traveling from province to province (one has to travel through Manitoba to get to TO), from the link supplied on link (MissingPeople.ca) or from LE.

Their Dec 12th post reads (BBM): "People of Manitoba please be on the lookout for a Missing Calgary Woman That May Be Heading through Manitoba to Toronto, Ontario – Shannon Madill, age 25 - Call your local police if you have any information."

Looks like they got the info from the MissingPeople website and worded it different, but I found it interesting because if she flew on a plane she wouldn't be seen in Manitoba. So maybe it's thought she is on foot? Thought to share in case it sparks any ideas.

I'm sure ya'll have already noticed but IF (note BIG if) Shannon left her home on Spiller Road on foot and did happen to head downtown say for example to:
Ducky's https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/1900...fc4722!2m2!1d-114.07086!2d51.034089!3e2?hl=en
YukYuks https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/1900...31504!2m2!1d-114.061147!2d51.037064!3e2?hl=en
or
Epcor Centre for Theatre Encounter https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/1900...30557!2m2!1d-114.060104!2d51.045295!3e2?hl=en

...she would have no choice but to cross over the Elbow river.

There's a high traffic bridge on 9 ave that everyone uses. Are you thinking she crossed it on foot or something?

High traffic after midnight??? I'm thinking about what we do know ---> she left her car at home. So where on earth did she go & how did she get there?

...Family members have been distributing missing person posters and checking businesses in Inglewood that Burgess had stopped in prior to her disappearance.

Investigators are also looking at everything from banking activity to medical records. Her cellphone and vehicle have been turned over to police and her family has been co-operative with the case, Baker said.

---------------------------------------------------------------

...In addition, they weren’t able to find any activity on her cellphone or bank account.

Wonder if anyone has searched near the bottom of that bridge?

Yep, Inglewood shares a very high-traffic street (9 ave) with downtown. If you head one way(over the bridge) you get to the core. If you head the other way, you can get to the highway (deerfoot). We do have buses and taxis here. It's a big city and Inglewood has a lot of night life/pub culture. There would be cars/taxis/buses going over that bridge all through the day/night. She could have walked over the bridge as well if she wanted too.
If she went somewhere like a bar, I feel like someone would have remembered. But since the last confirmed sighting of her is at her residence, I don't believe she went to a pub/bar/night club. Plus, if she left after midnight, Yuk Yuks/Epcor centre would be closed. Could be Ducky's but they've have the same damn bar-tending staff there for years and years (My friend just retired from there. RETIRED. A BARTENDER!). I'm sure someone would have recognised her.

Forgot to say that there would be all night/all day high traffic coming from downtown to cut through to deerfoot. I used to work across the street from Shannon's house and it wasn't a 9-5. Sometimes I was in the area at 3am and there would be a lot of traffic. I guess that is why its so weird that no one has confirmed a sighting after 12:30am.

Me too. I think it might still have a huge barricade down below the bridge from the flood repair. They would shut down the repairs for the winter but keep up all the signs and barricades.

Not to be rude, but... wonder if anyone has searched *anywhere* ??

Fish Creek Park for sure. Possibly her neighborhood and Inglewood streets within a certain radius.

how many calgarians are on this thread?

I'm one, who are two three and four...?

you know what's crappy,, the bridge over to the zoo from Inglewood goes approximately to the place where the young woman was found in the bushes after being left to perish. not sure if that case was even solved.

Count me as two. I consider myself fairly Calgarian. I pay my taxes.

Was that by the Bridgeland train station?

yes, if you do the route by foot you kinda wind out by bridgeland. 800 meters by foot from her bank - if cibc - and where the girl was found by bridgeland lrt. is there a creeper in that area?

This was the area she was found... Pulled from the article you posted. The attack took place Saturday, November 8, 2014.

"Police urge anyone who was in the area between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. that night and saw suspicious activity to come forward. Anyone who was near the Langevin Bridge along the pathway system toward the Calgary Zoo at the time is also asked to contact police."

"The 30-year-old woman was found by a passerby at around 9:30 p.m."
