so where are we now in the case?

I'm outside sleuthing other possible monikers for SB and might have found one, will post when I can confirm by expanding a roadmap.

Might take a few days.

Clearly you don't speak Canadian Pig Latin - specifically the Western Canadian PL dialect.
Have you ever had one of those experiences, where you discover you have been wrong for years and years...

... and then you replay the blank stares and extra giggles you received during the course of your lifetime...

... and suddenly get it? How disturbing.

Hey Stan, we're still in the same the place in the case... which means nothing really new :( I myself haven't had much time to sleuth these days, but try here and there.

Hope you share your findings, look forward to it. Hope there's some news about Shannon soon too, she's has to be out there somewhere alive or not…she's out there...

Great idea. Exploring other monikers could actually get this moving forward again.

---OT---Could someone here please remind me, when necessary, not to feed my cat? His name is Rolltay.

We don't usually have a victim's social media (which is normally okay to link to) associated with a banned link (which is obviously not acceptable to link to .. okay, kinda redundant). In this instance, (if i'm understanding this issue correctly), we probably all know the specific item that is referred to but formally have to consider it "rumour", keep it tucked away in our minds for our own purposes in sleuthing, and not discuss the actual information stemming from that particular banned link.

I think we can work around it by continuing to question/discuss the possibility (as we have from the beginning) that mental health issues could be a factor (because many interpret it to have been insinuated at the family presser, which is fine to discuss, but not because it was stated in a banned link > not fine to discuss).

Example: We have another WS thread (since closed) where someone close to the victim came in and posted that LE told him he was officially a POI. Regardless that it seems to have come from the horse's mouth, because LE had not officially announced to the public through MSM that the person was a POI, we could not discuss it on the board or treat the person as such. We know when we can't discuss something, but we also can't unring a bell. I think most of us know what was said and we're intelligent enough to be able to keep it in the back of our minds as we continue.

IOW, if we want to discuss mental health as a possibility, fine but just don't use a link to the banned site to support what you're getting at.

If the above attempt at explanation doesn't cut it, then maybe we can PM a Mod to clarify further.

During the press conference, police state that they're looking into many aspects of her disappearance, including whether there is a medical condition.

Reporter: "Does Shannon have any serious medical conditions or anything like that?"

Police: "I won't get into any medical conditions, obviously that'll be things we'd look into if there's any concerns with that we'll certainly look into them. I'm not going to bring up any even if I did know them, that's certainly something we're looking into."

If she had a medical condition at the time of her disappearance, presumably that would support the Suicide Theory. However, there does not appear to be any information, rumour or fact, to suggest that the had a medical condition at the time of her disappearance.

If SMB had a " medical condition", one would hope for a natural condition, like pregnancy.
That, imo. would improve the odds that she might still be alive.

Yes, the thought has occurred to me. Though there would be the issue of supporting herself financially over the last 3+ months...?

Pregnancy could definitely contribute to mental distress, particularly if she has a history---and she has indicated that she has.

That is incorrect

Could be pregnancy, could also be something similar to an eating disorder/issues and not necessarily depression or suicide risk.

Way upthread it was discussed IIRC, Shannon's sister EM made a comment in MSM about 'who's going to feed her', and then when you have the Reddit post, seems like there might be a history of something along those lines of an eating disorder. Will try to find MSM link and add to this post.

What is incorrect about this?

It was that comment which had me wonder about eating disorders and pregnancy...

Although not fully understood or completely proven, it is thought antidepressants can cause weight gain, among other side effects. I wonder if she had any weight issues.

If Shannon suffered from gluttony, anorexia, or bulimia nervosa at the time that she vanished, how does that relate to the fact that she vanished from her home in the middle of the night?

Police declined to answer questions related to Shannon's medical condition. There is no information that Shannon had any medical conditions at the time of her disappearance. Shannon is 5'6" and 130lbs., which seems like a perfectly normal weight for her height.

She has mentioned some serious weight concerns, and linked weight gain with a mental breakdown...

I don't think she committed suicide, as they would have likely found her body by now (unless she went somewhere remote...). But if she took a few days off to unplug, then ran into some bad luck?

Yet another incorrect statement. Can you provide a link to something stating she "vanished from her home in the middle of the night".

Could you please provide a link to support the claim that Shannon's medical history includes "mental distress".
