I think the police will throw out some evidence; e.g. the gruesome mattress from the Luka Magnotta case left on the curb for all to see.

The fedex box was pressed against the glass (flattened and empty), with the other garbage from his apartment. In response to the comment about other furniture: you can see dining room furniture piled on the little patio in one shot of the side of the building, where it is exposed to the elements.

- It was my understanding from a source close to Taylor that there were 2 new clients; i.e., Will + the clients = 3 people against Taylor. Will arranged the meeting and it was held at his place.
- Will was extremely motivated to get into med school. That, and athletics, were the only things I saw motivating him (but then I didn't know him that well). He wanted to be a sports doctor. Even getting rejected from med school didn't faze him; he just went to a Carribean med school for a year, came back to work off the debt, took interview coaching, and applied again (successfully).
- I was interested to hear Will described by his prof as 'gentle' and, particularly 'passive'.
- I remember Will could also bend the rules if he thought he knew better. I was a little miffed with him because I paid about $200 for exercise tests, and his employer was very clear with him that exercise tests were good business and wanted him to give them to clients (so he said). I wanted the tests and the gym wanted to sell them, and Will was supposed to administer them. However, Will decided that I didn't need them because I wasn't "a professional" (athlete) and instead gave me a refund. I had mixed feelings about that. Also, he was supposed to do things like look at my food logs but he never even opened them. Other than that we had great rapport and I admit I found him good company.

-Another thing that I felt a tad miffed about: I am totally 100% reliable with bills and payments. I always paid *before* meeting Will, up front, but after training he was neurotic that I would leave without paying. I found it uncomfortable. He said that if I ever left without paying, he'd get in "big trouble" with the gym. I found that odd, because I've been there for years, they have my contact info and credit card on file and could quickly take care of a mistake.
-Also, a prof who knew Will well said he could be 'inconsistent'; she said he kept asking her for job references (like practically spamming her email with jobs he wanted her to give him references for). She got annoyed because he told her he didn't have job, but then she found out from other people that he actually had more than one.

I agree it would be odd to bury him on family property. It would also involve driving 1 to 1.5 hours with a dead body in a car in the hottest weather we get in Halifax (August).

However, it also doesn't make sense to me that if will was planning to commit murder, he'd do it in his own home and while leaving evidence all over the place. Sounds like he didn't go back home after the murder (he was arrested in Dartmouth).

I am not convinced they are going to find Taylor on the family property. I am not convinced that Will S. even knows where Taylor is.

Am thinking more along the lines that the police may be using some tactics on Will to get him to talk (tactics like flooding his family's property with RCMP and police).

What could they possibly have found - and the charges came quickly - like within 3 days of Taylor going missing. Heaven forbid, did they find parts of Taylor - is that what they found and now they are looking for the rest of his body.

Why are the police so convinced that Taylor is dead and what did they find. They don't lay charges lightly so what have they got? All very confusing.

Good post. Mirrors many of my thoughts.
I am thinking that there is a possibility that WS does not know where the body is.
The only thing that I can think of that would lead police to believe taylor is dead is a great deal of blood at the apartment.

All speculation but what if william set up the meet , was present but did not commit the crime.
Could he be afraid to talk?

Or

What if he did not commit the crime alone.
Would he take the fall for others?

Or committed the crime with the help of accomplices but had nothing to do with disposing of the body.

If police found enough evidence at the apartment to say Taylor died and to file charges of First Degree murder, the evidence must be powerful.

It seems as if nobody did anything to cover up the crime

I just have a strong feeling there is a bigger criminal element involved in all of this

Would they do that at a crime scene?
I guess after the scene was released.

My first thought was a method of removing a body without being seen.
It happened in Kitchener last year

LE must have some seriously damning evidence to pursue these charges of 1st degree murder.
And there have definately been times where LE has charged a person or persons with no body.

Nathan O'Brien and his grandparents for that matter, last year - all 3 murdered, none of their bodies have been located to date.

Even in less recent cases, Tori Staffords killers were charged before locating her body.

I really hope that anyone else who was involved either comes forward, or is caught swiftly and punished fiercely.

Dalhousie University has increased its security today after a medical student was charged with uttering threats to another member of the Dalhousie community.
Police said the situation was not related to the Taylor Samson murder investigation.

According to descriptions issued when he was missing, Samson stood six-foot-five and weighed 210 pounds. A Dalhousie Tigers website lists Sandeson, a former track athlete, at five-foot-10.

Townsend would not say if police believe anyone helped Sandeson move Samson’s remains out of the Henry Street building.

“I can’t comment on those particular facts of the investigation,” he said.




The following day, they searched Sandeson’s address, 1210 Henry St. in Halifax, where he and some roommates shared an apartment above an Asian grocery store called Don88, which is at the corner of Henry and South streets.

I passed by the property again, on my way between meetings on campus. It really stood out to me that almost every window was open (including one with no bug screen) and they have been open day and night since this happened. It's been raining and inclement some days and the windows are still open. The door to the patio where the dining furniture is also wide open, and when I passed by today so was the front door to the stairwell. There is a for-rent sign. I think someone is trying very hard to air the place out. Will was arrested on Tuesday and the murder happened Saturday night; if they abandoned the crime scene (and it was messy), what with the really hot weather we've been having....

By the way do you folks think the vacant space at the back of the building (formerly a laundromat) could mean anything? The door has warnings about "closed circuit security cameras"; if they really had CCTV on the property, that could be helpful.

Video would be so helpful if someone left by the back way

If William had roommates, why is the space up for rent?
Has anyone come to get their things?
Did you notice if there was flooring (carpet) in the trash?

I expect it would take some work to clean the place up.
