An RCMP diving unit is searching a pond in Lower Truro, N.S., in connection with the death of Dalhousie University student Taylor Samson.

Halifax Regional Police say they've found evidence connected to the Samson homicide at the property they've been searching since Tuesday.

I have now uploaded pics of the cracks on the glass door (South st, Asian grocery). Unf. I don't know how long they have been there or if they are associated with the case.

It is a little painful to connect my mobile phone to my computer to upload to imgur (takes forever); I wonder if there is a better way. I am a tech noob and just got an android smartphone.

I have just moved to an android phone from an iphone so will play with uploading pictures this weekend from the android - should be able to email the pictures to yourself and then grab them from there - will save hooking up the android phone to the computer. Not sure though.

Wow, just wow .... this is starting to fit together. Still wondering how Taylor was taken out of the apartment on Henry Street - that is assuming Henry Street was the actual murder scene. Did they call the Henry Street apartment a crime scene or a murder scene - I can't remember.

Police searched the Henry Street building all day Wednesday. They believe that’s where Samson was killed.

Last night at about 7:30 p.m., searchers located several items of potential interest. Halifax Regional Police forensic identification officers attended the scene and seized the items for analysis. Based on the analysis to this point, investigators believe the items may be connected to the Samson homicide.

I pray they find Taylor quickly. If I recall correctly, an earlier news report stated the search would be scaled back on Friday, or after Friday (?).

Hoping they find Taylor too and quickly. The police stated yesterday that they have plans for being at the property in Lower Truro for many more days so no scale back as yet.

His mother did state they would scale back the search for him on Friday:“They aren’t going to stop investigating but they told me this morning they will have to scale it back on Friday.”

I believe if they are finding evidence, they won't stop til they are satisfied they have everything. LE is not going to stop in the middle of a productive search. IMO

I just do not understand why WS would take TS to his (WS's) family property?.

To me, it makes sense because he must know that area intimately and would have had a specific place in mind where he felt confident he would not be seen and the body would stay hidden. In that kind of situation, a perp doesn't want to take any risks by venturing into an unknown area where he might be caught.

I get the impression that, with all the forensics tv shows, etc., perps are very anxious that the body never be found because it might reveal clues.

I agree. Earlier on, LE said they had absolutely no idea where Taylor's remains were. Now that they have some evidence, I don't see them stopping anytime soon.

Hope they find Taylor today as well. There has been a bit of a reversal of the 'scale back search on Friday' idea. Here is a quote from the police yesterday.

Rath expected the property search to continue into next week.

“We do express our sincere thanks to all the workers,” she said. “All the search and rescue members are volunteers. We are very appreciative of them. They’re additional eyes for us.”

Because the sun is setting earlier every evening, the search and rescue crews have been packing up around 8 p.m.

That would leave evidence of a murder at his apartment. It would make it easy for him to be transported to TS's family property.

Maybe I've missed something and this wouldn't be possible but it's the first thing I thought of when I saw how small WS was compared to TS.

thisis what i was thinking as well. i think that is the evidence at the apt... a big stain from shooting or stabbing him, then traces in the drain in the tub and sink.
