Scout is a stuffy that sings and talks to the child made by leapfrog. Quite common, my daughter has one and many other kids I know. That was the first thing I thought of when I heard it that is absolutely something I would say in reference to my oldest daughter, she takes her "bunny" with her everywhere.

The restaurant where Hailey used to go with her grandfather is two doors down from the town's dry cleaning business. For some reason, the name of the dry cleaner has been blurred out by Google Streets, but only in one direction.

Two doors down from the dry cleaners: I think that is important. And the dry cleaning business is on the main road out of town in two directions, and around the corner from the other route leading to the highway (126th).

North of Blairmore, there is a road leading to the golf club. The other road north is much longer, and has a couple of branches.

Snowglobe, do you mean DS could be in the dry cleaning business and was used to see Hailey pass by with her grandad? And somehow began to fix his thoughts in the child?

Someone who saw HDB with a distinctive toy like that, every time she went out with her grandpa, might have known she wouldn't go anywhere without it.

Google Streets has not (yet) erased the white van with the distinctive flag that is sitting across the street from the dry cleaning business.

I can't speak to the accused's alleged motive.

This seems to be the correct location of the second crime scene.

Interestingly, the godmother said Scout is a toy. Parents never call a child's security blanket a toy. They might call it a "lovey".

When asked to address the abductor, if he happened to be listening, Amanada said, “bring her back because if you honestly love that little girl and you took away her father, you don’t love her. She’s just a baby. She needs to come home to where she’s comfortable, whether or not you have her Scout.”

“Everybody is worried and it’s killing us,” she said.
Sources close to the Herald indicate that “Scout” is Hailey’s name for her security blanket.

Scout is a stuffy that sings and talks to the child made by leapfrog. Quite common, my daughter has one and many other kids I know. That was the first thing I thought of when I heard it that is absolutely something I would say in reference to my oldest daughter, she takes her "bunny" with her everywhere.

I thought "Scout" could be one of two things. When I first heard it was a toy I thought it was the "scout" dog from leapfrog. Then when I heard blanket I immediately thought it might be like this. This is a stuffed toy/blanket, my two year old loves hers. So that is a possibility as well.

This may, or may not, be the body location - perhaps someone can compare the actual crime scene with this aerial image.

I am confident it is the same. The top photo below is the crime scene from the media. The middle photo is google maps view of the property I posted and bottom photo is Google earth view of the same property. They all have the same building and trees in the exact locations of the crime scene photo. They are just each from different years so slight differences are there.

two possibilities. Could be a sk who frequently travels through the area (and you know i just can't get past that a native woman shows up dead in a reservoir not that far away a day before terry's murder and hailey's abduction) and at some point in time signed ds up to some sort of private cult, of course with a hand full of cash, then came back and called in the debt. That would be a debt to someone ds might view as being powerful. Ds does not strike me as being a pedophile, so for what other reason would he take hailey to that location? Would there be another reason if not for someone else? One way or another ds was being charged with both terry and hailey's murders and apparently he took the fall which also appears to have been premeditate; but just because he knew where hailey's body was doesn't mean he murdered her too. Moo.

The other possibility may in fact be very close to home. I wonder who's home?? Imo, perhaps the wolf is a she wolf in sheep's clothing?
wow......

Boy, there's a lot of deep thinking going on in here overnight.

How about he simply killed Dad because of a beef between the two of them and the daughter was abducted and taken because he didn't really know what to do about her ?

Ultimately, if he didn't want to get caught, she had to go as well, because she knew who he was.

Saretzky isn't some sort of a criminal mastermind, he's just a pot smoking bum that most likely got higher than a kite on a meth and alcohol cocktail and went on a killing spree for some unknown reason. He'll explain it sooner or later, if he hasn't already.
My apologies for the late reply... I am just catching up.

Were it just to cover a murder, he would likely have just killed her and left her there as well.

The abduction likely plays into the motive.

Police have hope that abducted victims are alive until there is proof that they are not alive. Nothing at the scene of the crime (Terry's house) suggested that the child was injured or deceased - justifying the amber alert.
One can recall the Likness-O'Brien case where there was evidence of injury in the house, yet an Amber Alert was issued.

We don't know what was found at the scene.

The blood trail would not necessarily be from Hailey, more than like off of DS's shoes; if, in fact he did stab TB 16 times..(??) There was probably quite the struggle and more than likely a fair bit of blood laying around.

We're it a blood trail, it could also be the perp's blood. Often in a stabbing struggle, the perp is also wounded.

Snipped for space

Is there anyway to obtain the date stamps for these google earth images? It's interesting to me that the RV trailers do not seem to be parked in each of the shots.

I looked but don't see anything other than the Google copyright date of 2015. But I know the images aren't all current. When I look at my own home on Google earth vs Google maps satellite view vs street view all three are from different years, I can tell because of trees we have cut down, an addition being built, and old vehicles we no longer own still being in some of the images. Even my Map App on my iPhone has different years images all spliced together- half my town is covered in snow and half it is summer.

Maybe someone else knows a way to find out a time stamp on Google earth or Google maps.

wow......

Victoria Crowshoe's homicide could shape up to look like the work of a SK and yes there is the Aboriginal aspect to consider. Let us not forget the massive move towards the Government regarding the missing and murdered women on behalf of the First Peoples of Canada. The timing and proximity are relevant because if there are suspicions that her death was the work of a SK then that means he was working that area. This is all theory but one cannot look away from Victoria's or Hannah's homicides as in could they be connected in any way to Terry and Hailey? I pray Victoria's isn't because that could potentially give a SK more power over the mind by way of manipulation than he should have and that would expand his lethal territory by way of coercion and recruiting; imo.

How do we first learn to walk? By holding the hand that will guide us.
(I apologize for my loose native term; some things become a habit overlooked when you're trying to cover all the bases.)

Confirmation that DS worked at Prestige Cleaners:

http://passherald.ca/archives/150923/index4.htm

This is a local newspaper. The information stands.

The National Post claims otherwise. They did say the whole alley was closed off as part of the investigation on the Wednesday (Sept. 16) following the murders. DS was arrested on the Tuesday (Sept. 15). Here is a photo of the RCMP conducting an interview in the back alley of that business:

The National Post has a lady working at the the cleaners saying DS did not work there but lived in a home on the property.

This is from the National Post-A woman working at the establishment said the accused didn’t work there but did live in a home behind it. Police had the alley behind the cleaners closed off Wednesday.

The Pass Herald is saying that DS worked at the cleaners.

This is from the Pass Herald-Saretzky is a Blairmore resident and an employee at Prestige Cleaners and Tailors in Blairmore.

Which news article are we to believe?
