FWIW, in both the WR and RW cases I interpreted the wording to mean covering the hair as compared to covering the face:

SomeGirlOnTheNet, who worked with RW on a daily basis, has posted that RW is approximately 6'4" tall, making him 8" taller than the description of the Woodland Rapist. LE has DNA for the WR. They have now had RW's DNA sample for eight months. I have zero doubt that RW's DNA has now been compared to not only that of the WR, but a slew of other unsolved sex crimes. I don't understand why some are still considering RW a suspect in this case.

Most of the victims of the WR were children. I don't know many children who could estimate adult height with any degree of accuracy. Only one victim apparently got a good enough look at him to give LE a description that was used for the composite sketch.

I believe the underwear worn as headgear is one of the things that could be considered a commonality. So is the videotaping.

There is a possibility that LE does not disclose everything they know to the public. Based on their complete and utter silence on this case since the stories last November, they have not closed this case, nor have they eliminated anyone as a suspect.

Has the member you mentioned been properly vetted by WS? Please provide a link.

Of course, everyone is free to have their own opinion and to ignore this thread if it bothers them.

ITA on the young age of the witness and the degree of trauma they would have been experiencing could certainly result in a skewed description. Other than PB and KH, no other perps spring to mind that videotaped their assaults. As for baggy eyes, depends on the lighting condition and if that was the victim's perception based on a perp looming overhead looking down upon the victim. The stained underwear worn on the head during the attack is a very, very unique occurence that I have never heard of in any other case. Combine the foregoing with the description of hair colour and freckles ... I sure won't rule RW out until LE has done so.

Many studies have been done regarding the reliability of child witnesses. (In the following link, child is defined as under age 14). They focus on different descriptors than adults do, and descriptors can vary depending on age, circumstances, expertise of the interviewer, etc. It is not uncommon for children to use the person interviewing them as a standard when recalling information.

Also, SB, I remember reading his sexual assault victims describing him as not that tall. I mean, they were bare feet and if he is 6'4" he would have appeared to them like a giant, JMO.

I was trying earlier to find that pic of him saluting Q.E. while she was boarding (or was she exiting) the plane, and couldn't find it neither. We still have the CBC video that DD2 posted on L's thread to compare

and yes, ITA that McKay, RW and the other guy appear to be all around the same height, depending on the angle the pic is taken one of them appears to be taller, but when all 3 are standing in line, and the photographer seems to be in front of them, they all seem the same to me, JMHO.

I've been in the military for almost 20 years (next May) all of it spent in Trenton.

I worked in Wing Headquarters until last October when I went to another position on the base. My office was 4 doors down from RW and I spoke with him often, and was also often working in the evenings when he was there as well. He was always very personable, friendly and approachable. Who knew I was rubbing shoulders with the devil? I sure didn't. No one did.

I sent Tricia my work phone number...if sitting in my office, answering my phone using my rank, at a unit on the base doesn't cut it, then I'm not sure what will suffice
