This might seem basic, but why would a guy like DM even have a farm? (Besides the now-seemingly-obvious reason of having a place to hide evidence...)

I read the realtor's quote that he told him he was buying it to build a house for him and his fiancée, but he never visited the property with said fiancée before buying it (realtor only mentions his father accompanied him), now 2 years later there's no fiancée and there's no house.

I personally think the build a house/fiancee thing was a load of crap and just a story told to the realtor to not raise suspicion or questions. After all, what else would a young guy say he was buying a farm for?...particularly given the family history? Am sure he couldn't have said "Oh I think I'm going to get into farming" - that just wouldn't seem believable and might get gossip swirling. JMO.

i am curious why he bought the incinerator in Manitoba? I wonder how often he frequented Manitoba and if he owns anything there... Lots of missing girls there, most Aboriginal...

Did he buy it in person, over the phone or online?

I was just on the London Free Press site and found this comment by one of their readers (they have used their name, though I wont list it here), this is their comment:

"You don't suppose this nice respectable home spun lad was running a chop shop out of his nice hanger, and his dad flew auto parts in an old DC3, like father like son?"

It's a curious comment like he knew the dad. Maybe WM, was involved in illegal activities? jmo!

WM was anything but this.

DM was in Nevada? Speculation that LB was out in Las Vegas working at a club on The Dirty website. Does it give a timeline for when he was in Nevada?

Yep.... He is mentioned as being there April 15th 2013, suppose to be back at the end of the month, was a bit longer... May 7th he was going to the border with the paperwork to get it.

Can I post the link to something like this or no? Being careful with the rules.

This plan would fall apart the moment the Etobicoke truck seller had to identify DM in a parade. Unless the guy with the fake tattoo looked exactly like DM, it just wouldnt hold up.

I don't think a line up for id will work now. The alleged Etobicoke truck seller could be lying or could have seen his pics online now. So it would not be a viable identification as the waters have been muddied.

I am having a hard time reading so many posts that have a guy hung drawn and quartered without him having first had a trial.

I see nothing untoward in buying a condo (he is young and rich)

I see nothing wrong in buying an incinerator ...last year... that is a lot of acreage...he could be wanting to clear an area to build a house, the incinerator can be used for many things.

I see nothing wrong in the obit he posted for his dad

I do however think there is a hidden message in the 'fears racists' comment. Which group(s) of people are totally racist against blacks ?

Someone was saying that the neighbor of MB is very interesting....can we have a clue at least as to why he is so very interesting Carli ?

I recall reading in one of the articles that large machinery had been brought to the farm and the swampy area was being "worked on". I wonder if they were trying to dispose of other ashes by mixing them up in the swamp?

Dumb question time. I have not done well with tracking the locations / properties in this case at all (don't have a good map in my head). But early in the case, there was an aerial view posted here of what looked like a farm with a grassy landing strip, and a small plane coming in for a landing. I haven't really seen this mentioned again, though. Does the farm have this landing strip, or was the pic I'm remembering something else? Could that be the main reason he bought it, for a private airfield?

I've missed the heavy equipment details. What heavy equipment did they actually own? An excavator?

Across the road, south of DM's property, there is a private airstrip

I'm sorry if this has been asked but I'm curious

When DM purchased the farm in Ayr, he mentioned to the RE agent that he wanted to build a house for his fiance............with the new connection to LB in the news and her timing of her disappearence and the possible romantic link.........could she bee the one know to the RE agent as the fiance and did he meet the fiance at any time..............

Some thoughts relating to various points made in the last couple of hours.

DM supplying coke to his (girlfriend?) does not mean he was selling or dealing. It is not unusual for the rich to have a sizeable supply or access to it.

The incinerator purchase coinciding with LB's disappearance coupled with the fact that he was the last person she called on her phone before vanishing is more than suspicious. Combined with the TB case and the unusual paternal suicide, the psychopath theory is now the most plausible. As impartial as Ive tried to be, I am out of answers playing the defence lawyer role. I give up and I almost feel bad for Deepak.

I think the poster on the dirty claiming he'd seen LB at the rhino was most likely a tasteless troll.

Audrey Gleave was sexually assaulted. If DM was the killer then DNA should nail him, although that doesnt rule out suspect #2 or #3.

We don't know for sure. According to this article:

Information obtained by the Sun indicates Millard purchased the propane-heated incinerator for $6,950 from a Manitoba distributor of the US-made product.

Bill Penner of Tri-Star Dairy in Grunthal, Man. said he did not personally meet with Millard and would not reveal details of the actual purchase or how it was delivered to his farm.

The designer and builder, SuperNova Manufacturing of Camilla, Georgia, said they have co-operated with Hamilton Police in helping them track down the serial number on the incinerator.

"It was sold from our Canadian distributor," said Tim Cook, who said the event has shaken the whole company.

I can't answer your question but it just raised my eyebrows upon re-reading the obit several times .... what if....as goofy as this sounds I am wondering if the word ''racist'' is a play on words -- to a drug addled mind -- most of might say racers whereas maybe DM and his possee referred to themselves as ''ists'' instead of ''ers''

Heading off to look for the link. I remember seeing pictures posted in one of the threads or in a news article. Maybe another poster with a steel trap mind will be able to find the link more quickly than I can.

i thought the same regarding "racists" in the obit, i posted that yesterday - the obit to me seemed to be full of these types of play on words

Laura Babcock has actually been mentioned in these threads, but there wasn't much to go on and it got dropped. (See board search or google.) Is it possible that's why it's familiar to you? I myself just barely remembering googling her and her alias, and finding not a lot.

Im still catching up with today's events and all the threads. I just went on his fb and it has been saying that he had 12 friends but I could only see 10, So the obvious two were: the person who was cleared and his gf that were missing. Now there's only 8 people and both of his cousins are gone. I have spent a lot of time on his fb acct...obviously. lol
