With the way so many things link back to DM I would not be surprised if the following car was DM's Yukon SUV (the one he was picked up in)

Why do you think that?

If you are considering a conspiracy that involves someone trying to set DM up for some reason, what reasons could there be?

1./ Revenge/Payback

2./ Money

3./ Getting him out of the way (reason unknown at this point)

4./ History of a feud against MillardAir/Millards

5./ Seizing of land/property

6./ Jealousy

7./ Corporate takeover

The list goes on... just depends who is interested in what. Could be any of the above or a mix of several things...

taken from the HPS media release link posted above BBM - am I the only one left wondering how he knew the suspect had several tattoos on his arms when he was wearing a long sleeve shirt??

It is unclear to me whether the description of the long sleeved shirt was from him or SB. If they both said long sleeved orange shirt, my question is why a wealthy dude--or anyone for that fact, would wear the same shirt 2 days in a row.

I think that is what he wore to TB's house

As for the other seller:

"Police also believe cellphone records show that the pair met up with a separate man and test-drove a vehicle in the Toronto area on Sunday.

Police said the man was immediately suspicious of the pair, who walked up to his business, located in a remote industrial area of Etobicoke.

The man said the taller of the two had several tattoos on his arms, exposed by his short-sleeve t-shirt, but one in particular stood out: a tattoo on his wrist of a rectangle with the word ‘ambition’ inside."

Where did this man in the industrial area of TO have his ad posted. I would like to see this ad and how it was worded.

IIRC, t-shirt worn to first test drive and long sleeved shirt to TB home.

Actually that evening was not that cool and definitely not cool enough for so
meone to have their hoodie up.

I remember it being cool as I was sitting outside with family that evening. We all had long sleeves on. DM was not the guy who was supposed to be wearing a hoodie. But if it was hot outside (which it wasn't) then a hoodie would look highly suspicious especially with hood up.

The only difference in description from SB and Etobicoke test drive was Etobicoke man said short sleeved orange shirt and tats

You can find this in the news presser from LE that was televised

I would doubt that very many people know of the camera's at the fairgrounds...unusual to have them in a Rural area....DM and helpers may not have known...but maybe they did and that's why the second car was driving so close that LE couldn't get a make on it??

The image from the camera that captured the followup vehicle was of poor quality, probably because it was old camera technology compounded by the image being captured at night. They couldn't make out the type of the followup vehicle: either SUV or truck. A birdie tells me the camera was located in the immediate vicinity of the fairgrounds.

I'd hope the police aren't relying on one image to be able to say with confidence there was a followup vehicle. I'd bet the followup was captured again by a camera in Brantford but wasn't identifiable there either.

what do you mean "I read that as they were planing on a dirty deed prior to arrival. Seize control and cut off comms quickly"

I believe I understand your question......

Planing a deal like Tim's, one would plan to arrive with murder/kidnap/theft as the goal. To accomplish that, the plan would be to quickly control the victim, isolate the victim, cut off any communication ability outside of that truck.

That was done likely, based on the cell phone terminating ~1.5 miles from TB's driveway and near a industrial area with large parking lots and within sight of the 403.

The reason for the chase car was likely for overwatch/security, getaway or to witness/validate that the dirty deed was done, depending on what the motive one chooses..

Personally, I don't think anyone wanted the truck. I think they were looking for the truck in order to find a person. I think the person was the target, not the truck. In order to find the person, however, they first had to find the truck.

Either TB was mistaken as the person they were looking for or WAS the person they were looking for.

Completely fictional example. Some guys get arrested and at the scene notice a person in a truck driving away with a for sale sign posted on the truck. They learn a concerned citizen called 911 which led to their arrest. They're ticked and don't know who called but they surmise that the occupant of the truck driving away was the one who called 911. To exact their revenge they need to find that truck before they find the person who was driving it that night.

Been thinking about the truck again...it was that model of truck they seemed to be after so badly. They wanted it with some urgency, needed it quickly for some imminent operation.
ocess. You don't just drive off with the vehicle that day. He needed it urgently.

true, maybe had another crime they needed a truck for--a powerful one.

Seems they could have stolen it another way though.

( I once had a car stolen that was used in robberies before it was found. They found it with a few things in it. The hood was scratched as they'd put stuff on the hood. In the last few years mini vans were highly stolen because of all the stuff that would fit in them.)

This is a crimesleuthing board not a court of law. We don't have the power to judge and convict anyone. And we don't have to adhere to the "innocent until proven guilty" code that only applies in a court of law. One thing we do try to do is to gather information on the LE named suspect and try to figure out the why and also the other people involved and how they may connect to the suspect.

We have a lot of disclosure here. Way more than in most cases. The evidence that has been presented in MSM is overwhelming. And we only have a bit of it. We don't know what else LE have but you can bet it involves forensics, surveillance and witness statements just to name a few. Obviously whatever they have so far it's enough for LE to be confident in a first degree murder charge.

<modsnip> If DM is innocent, it will come out in the investigation. So far, I'm not seeing it in so far as he has not told his "story" to LE, refuses to name the people who were there with him that night and is willing to sit in jail for the next two years in silence waiting for disclosure before telling his "story" in a court of law.

MOO

If that were the case, why risk getting caught with the truck, take it out by the reservation and torch it... LE says it was the truck they wanted, not TB.

Timing works out 9.20pm TB's Home to Fen Ridge Court where phone was found and phone cut off 10pm if highway 403 is avoided. Approx 30 minutes plus 10 minutes allowing stoppoing for traffic lights.

DM took TB's truck past Ancaster Fairground along Wilson Street West into Brantford then avoiding 403 along Colbourne St East/Dalhousie/Brant Ave/Paris Rd/Hardy Rd/Oak Park Rd/Fen Ridge Court

They would not have stopped off but drove straight to the place where the phone was found.

Someone mentioned a camera at TL a building at the crossroads (Garden Ave/Colbourne St E) picked up the trailing vehicle, LI must know the route taken.

3 Questions?

1. LI? or do you mean LE?
2. so they've said his phone was turned off (was it 1 mile away) so where does that place them?
3. I used to live in Brantford yrs ago and even I probably wouldn't have had the foresight to remember that route, especially how things have changed, so I'm thinking this person knows Brantford well.

There still remains the fact that DM bought an Eliminator Incinerator with no viable reason to buy one. NONE.

Or did some creepy employee use his name and money to buy it?

... says that TB was targeted. Have I misunderstood something?

Here is the written Police Media Release that helps to clarify times, dates, locations AND descriptions.... please take a moment and read it, as we seem to be getting into a rut at times for details that have been made 100% clear.

http://www.hamiltonpolice.on.ca/NR/exeres/FFB9B6D6-BCA8-4945-B476-CCF83824EBB8.htm

Also the 2nd vehicle has NOT been 100% possitively identified as of yet... I will refer you to the LE Video, the entire video is valuable for the facts at they stand but, if you go to the 11 min mark and listen to the 12 min mark, they are still working on the 2nd vehicle...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny87BjsZuv0

Is there some spot that indicates what time the phone was dumped in Brantford? The reason I ask is I'm starting to wonder about the sighting of TB's truck in downtown Brantford at 10:10. If they were Downtown, the route would have been Highway 52 which turns into Colburn Street..and where DM's phone was found would have been the longest and slowest route possible to that dumpster...but, perhaps they had a reason to be downtown?...or in the urban area? ...whereas, if they were in a rush, as most people who are stealing a truck would be, they would take the 403, take the Oak Park exit to a known dumpster.. and get onto the back roads as soon as they could...So, IMO if they were in fact seen downtown, there was a reason they had to go that route. Why didn't they just dump the phone out the window into the ditch...or on the road? They could have thrown the sim card out the window?

Hwy 24 would have been the fastest route back to the Airport or the farm. Yet, they either spent 15 minutes driving from downtown Brantford to the dumpster..or they were on the 403 and drove past the 24 exit by 5 min just to dump the phone? Now, if it was planned to take the back roads, I don't think DM and and City friends would be able to navigate them that well...even with GPS... Sorry if this is confusing! Check the maps and let me know your thoughts...
