My theory for what it's worth:

DM did kill LB back in 2012 and got away with it scot free. However, he has a guilty conscience.
Fast forward to earlier this month (May 2013). DM is involved in some kind of criminal underworld and is up to no good. He needs a "clean" heavy towing truck urgently. The first Dodge Ram didn't pan out because the seller was too big to steal it from. So, DM finds TB's truck and tries again to get the truck. He needs this truck urgently for some matter.
When he instructs TB to leave the truck so he can steal it, TB resists and a confrontation occurs. Because DM is very aware that he got away with murder (LB's) and has a guilty conscience, he doesn't want to attract any attention from LE that might possibly shine a light on him. Things go wrong very quickly in the truck and DM feels TB knows enough to identify him if he were to get away. So, DM makes the split second decision to kill TB and hide the body in the same way he did with LB's body (the incinerator & farm property).
DM believes he will get away with this just like he did LB. He parks the truck trailor in his mother's driveway and waits for the heat to die down. It didn't.

Thats my point !

Don't know if you remember the account by one of the friends in the MSM, how when TB did not return home in an allowable amount of time, SB began to call/text friends... "Is Tim with you"

It didn't take long for word to spread that Tim was missing... and PEOPLE began looking for him that very night after they had checked through friends and family.

THAT's how the news got out before MSM got a hold of it.

It was in the MSM news article... I will dig it up too :)

Looks good. What EXACTLY kind of contractor was he? HVAC or a fuel container .........

Came up as Tim's service in ancaster Ontario
Fuel oil contractor
That's as far as I got dont I know if this will help any of you but
I am new to all this just been sitting on sidelines but when
I found out tb was a hvac contractor I knew I could dig up some info

  • #404
I found TB company name "Tim's service " on a website www.tssa.org

Under fuels search contractor let me know what you think ?

Do you think the first truck/test drive guy was HVAC also?

What are you thinking? There is a connection to fueling for the planes?

Mike Van Houten awoke to a text from a friend around 5 a.m. on May 7: “Mikey, Tim is missing. Have you seen him?”

Van Houten didn’t know what to make of it. After he grabbed a coffee he drove by Bosma’s house. A police cruiser sat in the long gravel driveway outside the house Bosma built a few years ago. Strange, he thought. So he turned around and drove by again. He saw Bosma’s father, Hank, in the front yard.

When Van Houten pulled in, Hank confirmed the text before breaking down in tears.

Texts and emails flew through the tight-knit Dutch community in rural Ancaster that morning, and by 7 a.m. some two dozen friends gathered. They learned from police that Bosma’s phone was turned off within a mile of the house. So they started searching.

The text messages started that evening, when he didn't return home, some received them that night, some the next morning when they awoke....

AND that is how the news spread so fast about Tim and the description of the truck...

The incinerator is propane burning appliance
Did DM ask TB to service it or hook it up to propane and perhaps have him
Out for a quote and TB saw something he should not have ?
That's why I wonder what the first test drive guy has a business in is it also hvac or propane ??

additional remains (animal/human - to be determined) were found on the property. police have been searching that property for almost a week, then they find additional remains days after the first find...Just wondering why the second finding was so many days after the first. Any idea if dogs were used? If not I'm wondering if LE possibly has one (or more) additional suspects in custody that has decided to talk, or possibly a tip?

Any idea how big TB's hvac business was? Any chance this was a business related issue (getting rid of competition.) Wondering what condition the truck is in, what if it was the third person in the other vehicle that committed the murder (shot TB from outside the vehicle) TB and second suspect used for the test drive, third suspect is the killer? Thinking out loud again :)

My last point on the truck witness... if somebody called the plate in at 10:10 and then his wife later reported him missing... when LE punched in his plate number it would have flagged the 10:10 call.

Just sayin

Correction :)

No one has said it was called in at 10:10pm that night, what LE stated was the individual that SAW the truck that night, said they saw it at 10:10pm.

No-one is assuming anything here. I have said I would like to know how someone KNEW it was TB's actual truck. Since then there has been a deluge of attacks and even suggestions of conspiracy theories.
I am glad you follow your own advice and glad that you are very observant of cars and trucks on the road. Hopefully you never have to be drawn into court to explain something so vital as in this current situation, because in court they will want all the facts and probably even ask you on the stand what the plate number was.... gotta be prepared.

I've been trying to catch up but I have to jump in here. Is it possible that the person remembered the truck because he or she also test drove it prior to that day? Do we know when TB posted his ad to try and sell the truck? Could it be possible that others test drove it, but decided against it? From what I understand, his was a rarer kind of truck, and that specific edition of the truck with it's last-of-its-kind engine would be noticeable to someone who really likes trucks? I am not disagreeing that it could have been someone who knew TB. That's very possible. Also, do we know if Tim had a "for sale" sign stuck to it anywhere? :)

I agree LayzeeDayzee.

People should be allowed to ask questions without being attacked, whether those questions agree with your line of thinking or not.

In one of the posts of CM's obituary, (I have to find the link again yikes!!) it talked about his trouble in grade 8 and he was quoted as saying "if they think I'm guilty, let them find the proof" it seems his grandson is following suit.

My thoughts also this thread is getting out of hand with peoples :overreaction:if people don't have the same view point move past the post and :ignore: This thread is to throw out ideas and try to come up with different scenarios. Everyone is still entitled to free speech the last I checked. :moo:

You beat me to this. I would imagine if someone saw the truck speeding, or driving erratically or cutting someone off, they would possibly note the plate. I have done it many times when I note someone that seems to be driving strangely. I take a picture with my phone all the time - license plate and time stamp. I think LE would not be reporting this so confidently if it was just some person claiming to have seen it without any reason to validate.
Seems that the disputes in here are getting kinda personal. Let's try and refocus perhaps?

I never thought about the camera phone!! I must be older than I thought lol - that makes so much sense - the U of Waterloo has a campus in the downtown of Brantford. Lots of students, though maybe not so many now, but certainly could have been some left for exams around the 6th. Maybe they were shooting video and the truck passed behind? I guess that would still be a human witness, of sorts. Also, if they were anxiously trying to get through the downtown, which can be frustrating - I know it!! - they may have been driving erratically. Not much makes sense so no reason to think they would be acting in a sensible way re:driving. jmo

btw/fyi - often there are police downtown in the evening due to the students, and due to other individuals that frequent the area and cause trouble

Could it be that surveillance video from an establishment caught the truck in Brantford?

I think this whole "debate" came up because there was a discrepancy as to the nature of the "source" - human or not. Someone early in this thread or late in the last thread said it was confirmed to be a human witness, although I do not recall hearing that anywhere in MSM. Also, I do recall LE had a timeline rather quickly and definitely believed this source in Brantford.

I seem to recall the ad was put in April 28.

Anyone in Ancaster/Lynden area know why a cruiser was guarding a rectangular looking hole in a field, on the south side of Powerline, about 1 km east of Field Road? It was odd. There were several pink flags around a deep rectangular shaped hole in a field, about 8-10 m in from the ditch. They had put yellow tape up parallel to the ditch (Can't be sure if it said "Police" or "Caution"). The cruiser was gone after I drove by again after 9 pm, so I'm hoping that means it was a public safety issue and that was all. Thought someone who lives nearby might be on here and could clear this up. Tx.

Totally agree :)

Since... :newhere: when we toss out ideas, scenarios etc... is there or should there be do we use, a point we leap from?

What I mean is... do we use for example LE information to leap from.

For example, they have stated that they were satisfied that TB and DM never came in contact with each other, they were not known to each other until the Test Drive. And that what you we see of TB in the MSM is exactly what they found him to be.

So do we ignore that information?

OR do we use MSM information? Or combo?

I find its more like.... :banghead::banghead: if we ignore the facts we do have... but, everyone is entitled to their opinion at the same time... I'm just trying to grasp an understanding how the "sleuthing" is done here, compared to previous experience..

Any shedding of light, is appreciated...

Early morning... Night ;)

Years ago I sold my car to a friend of my son. I let him drive it home with my plates on it. 2 weeks later I got a warning letter from OPP about my erratic driving on that date at that time and the street was named. Another driver had called in my plate.

Another time someone I knew couldn't seem to drive home in a straight line. The driver behind him called his plate in and OPP met him at his driveway.

I'm guessing something similar has happened here.

Except in this case LE didn't follow up or were they long gone before Le could get a car on them?? Couldve saved Tim's life if that's the story and a call was made..

Go to about the 10 minute mark where the Q&A takes place... :)

Hope that helps

Or maybe because he was a contractor he had a rack with a ladder on it?

Some one noticed it and when the missing info came out, called LE, and LE verified it via video from near the downtown sighting, which validated the witness?

Consider the truck could have been travelling at a head-turning speed, hence noticeable. Surely they should have been smart enough not to arouse suspicion that way but I am sure adrenalin was running high. That might also cause someone to take a good look while they can. And truck lovers do notice the details (although it would be nice if they saw the occupants of the vehicle).

Hello Sleuths! This is my first post! Prayers for Tim and Godspeed to the numerous officers and experts on the case(s).

Edit: sorry I hadn't noticed this novel idea of mine was covered pages ago!
