My theory for what it's worth:
DM did kill LB back in 2012 and got away with it scot free. However, he has a guilty conscience.
Fast forward to earlier this month (May 2013). DM is involved in some kind of criminal underworld and is up to no good. He needs a "clean" heavy towing truck urgently. The first Dodge Ram didn't pan out because the seller was too big to steal it from. So, DM finds TB's truck and tries again to get the truck. He needs this truck urgently for some matter.
When he instructs TB to leave the truck so he can steal it, TB resists and a confrontation occurs. Because DM is very aware that he got away with murder (LB's) and has a guilty conscience, he doesn't want to attract any attention from LE that might possibly shine a light on him. Things go wrong very quickly in the truck and DM feels TB knows enough to identify him if he were to get away. So, DM makes the split second decision to kill TB and hide the body in the same way he did with LB's body (the incinerator & farm property).
DM believes he will get away with this just like he did LB. He parks the truck trailor in his mother's driveway and waits for the heat to die down. It didn't.
