RCMP always does this with UIDs; why couldn't they measure him and give an actual measured height instead of a 6" range??

Agreed, they have him on video... can they not... just.... measure the wall next to him? I feel silly saying it but we do it for robbery suspects so why not here?

they have his entire body! he's literally lying right in front of the ME, and I believe he was 'intact', I don't know why they can't lay people out flat and actually measure from heel to top of head.
(in other UID cases where the person is obviously in good shape they also give tend to give a wide height range, which is why I'm assuming this guy was found in one piece too. his clothes have some left sided rips but they don't look too bad)

Here are two asian males who went missing from ON, but considering the proximity, I bet they've been considered already. No information on either's dentition.

one thing that could be a clue (or a red herring) is his size 12 shoes... pretty big feet for a guy around 5'5", especially among the asian population. when i went to japan, i went into a shoe-store and they didn't even carry my size :p
of course, he could be homeless/low income and just wearing what shoes were available for him.

trying to look more into the CCTV - here are some screenshots of less?? pixelated moments. He looks to have a thin, oval face with a prominent-ish nasal bridge, perhaps slightly receded hairline, and thick hair that sort of sticks straight up on the crown on his head.

I am presuming this person committed suicide since he walked to the end of the platform to the direction the train is coming from (even though he ducks into the exit to street level before the video ends). There are no areas near Landsdowne subway station where the tracks are outside so for him to be described as being hit by a train at Landsdowne verifies he was hit underground.

After living in Toronto for years, I found that the end of the platform was the preferred location for would be suicides because the train conductor wouldn't be able to react as quickly, thus ensuring a successful attempt.

As soon as I saw him in the video I thought he had all the physical characteristics of a Filipino male.

The belt he's wearing is still being produced by the company Europa Dezines. It retails for about $55.00, so it's not cheap. His shoes were manufactured by the company NSS (Nice Skate Shoes). The company went out of business in 2007 so the shoes he's wearing are at least 10 years old. I looked online and it appears they would be considered a vintage product, probably manufactured in the late 90s. There is still 'dead stock' out there being sold on secondary markets like eBay. The rest of his clothing seems fairly generic worn by thousands of people.

The shoe size 12 is a bit of a mystery since he seems small in stature. I presume he was wearing a larger size due to his degenerative joint disease. Apparently, according to The National Centre for Biotechnology Institute, Filipinos have a high percentage of degenerative joint disease (28.9%).

Addressing the Health Needs of High-Risk Filipino Americans in the Greater Philadelphia Region

According to the Philippines Department of Health, Filipino children have a very high percentage of dental caries (92.4%). Children also have a very high degree of gum disease; 74% of 12 years have gingivitis which can lead to loss of teeth if untreated.

What are the latest dental problems statistics of the Philippines? | Department of Health website

So if he is Filipino it suggests to me, based on the stats for gum disease, that he remained in the Philippines after adolescence which is why he had no teeth.

I worked with so many Filipino women over the years. They are very hard workers and spend a lot of their income on relatives in the Philippines, sending over care packages of food, clothing and shoes. Unlike many other potential immigrants, it's the women who tend to come to Canada first rather than the men, since they get jobs as nannies, housekeepers and nurses. So I wonder if this man is either a recent visitor to Canada or a bona fide immigrant. Canada didn't require biometric information for immigrants until 2018 so that would be a bit of a dead end. The US has required biometric info for potential immigrants since 2004, so that might be a potential avenue to pursue. That's usually done in the Philippines though.

The tiles on the walls of the Landsdowne station should make it easy enough to figure out how tall he is. If my memory serves me, the tile is about 8 inches high so I would put his height somewhere around 5 feet 6 inches give or take.
