The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of a Homicide investigation.
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at approximately 1:09 a.m., police responded to a call for a Shooting in the Winona Drive and Vaughan Road area.
It is reported that:

• officers arrived on scene and located two victims, a man and a woman
• the woman was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries
• the man was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries
• the man succumbed to his injuries in hospital
• the suspect(s) fled in a vehicle

The victim has been identified as Trevor John, 31, of Toronto. An image of the victim has been released.
Anyone who witnessed the shooting, or who may have been driving in the area at the time and has dash-camera footage, is asked to contact police.

A fundraiser has been set up following the "heartbreaking" death of a father of two children who was gunned down in Oakwood Village.

''On Thursday, police said they arrested Kemyan Franklyn, a 20-year-old Toronto resident. He has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder, police said in a news release.

A second man, identified by police as 28-year-old Toronto resident Adrian Vincent Walker, is also wanted for first-degree murder and attempted murder, investigators say. An image of Walker has now been released by police.''
