''The B.C. RCMP Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation of a missing Fort St. James man.''

''He was last seen on Aug. 29.

His green 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was found in an isolated area off a forest service road outside of Fort St. James last Thursday but the RCMP says police dogs failed to locate Price.

After forensic investigators searched the vehicle, the RCMP now believes criminality was involved in William’s disappearance.''

''Price is described as a white male, 5-5 and 280 pounds, with hazel eyes, grey scruffy hair and a full grey beard. He has a three-to-four-inch-long scar on his lower back, and is known to wear a gold ring and stud earring in his left ear.

The RCMP are asking anyone with information about Price’s activities prior to Aug. 29, or who might have dash cam or trail cam footage of Price, to contact police.''

The Fort St. James RCMP are requesting the public’s help in locating a missing person that has not been seen since August 29, 2020.

On Monday, August 31, 2020 at 6:03 PM, the Fort St. James RCMP received a report of a missing person.

''William Leonard Price, 55 years old, is described as:

• Caucasian male
• 5’ 5 (165 cms)
• 280 lbs (127 kgs)
• Hazel eyes
• Grey scruffy hair
• Full grey beard
• 3-4 scar on lower back
• Gold ring and stud earring in left ear

When William failed to show up for work on Monday, August 31, 2020, the employer called family looking to find William. When they were unable to locate him, the police were called.

William is believed to be driving a green, 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, with BC license plate PB2285.
