''Police are concerned that Perron might be exploiting vulnerable and marginalized people in Toronto, including sex workers, the under-housed, and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

On May 27, officers went to an apartment in the Broadview Avenue and Dundas Street East area and found a person dead.

An autopsy showed the death was from natural causes.

Police say a man was aware that a dead person was inside the apartment, but did not notify them.

The suspect has been identified as Rejean Hermel Perron, 52, of no fixed address. He is described as male, 5′ 2″ tall, with dark hair, blue eyes, a thin build, and possibly a pock-marked face''

Perron has been wanted since 2021 for violating parole conditions after serving a 3-year sentence in connection with a 2015 investigation.

Man charged after dead body found inside east Toronto apartment

Police have arrested and charged a 52-year-old man who wanted after failing to notify authorities about a dead person inside an apartment in Toronto’s Riverside neighbourhood.

'Following a news conference last spring, Toronto police said they received additional information relating to the suspect and as a result, Perron was also wanted for sexual assault, assault, uttering threats, and forcible confinement.

On Sunday, Perron was arrested and charged with obstruct peace officer, improper/indecent interfere with a dead body, assault, sexual assault, forcible confinement, and uttering threats. He was scheduled to appear in bail court on Oct. 13.'
