"Terri Horman is the last known adult to have seen Kyron after she dropped him off at school the morning of June 4, and the investigation has increasingly focused on her."

"Terri Horman is the last adult known to have seen the Portland boy after she took him to school on June 4, the day Kyron vanished."

Just want to notate that whereas you have those in quotes, those are not quotes, as in someone saying them. Those are statements the reporters wrote for the respective articles.

They are from reporters, not LE.

If anyone has a link to LE saying "last known adult", I'd appreciate it.

Yep I searched WS for it. No links to anything from LE.

O/T - in addition to the WS search function you can search WS using Google. Just put site:websleuths.com in front of your search keywords.

Please take me to Mexico!

haha...hop in, there's plenty of room! :) The place we're going is quite lovely, but I have to admit I'm a little nervous driving near the border with all the SB1070 stuff going on -- esp. on the MX side and especially since it's just me and my girlie going. But we're driving only in daylight so....

I'll keep an eye out for kyron!

Sorry,BeanE, if I've caused you agida. I didn't mean to. It's just that the "adult " in that phrase strikes me as possibly important. I'm going to email the Seattle PI reporter, and see if they'll say anything about where that came from... And if they do, I will post it here.... Meanwhile, I and my extended crew are going up to the San Juans. I will keep an eye out for Kyron too....

I'm in case review thread #11 for June 18. Here's what LE actually said:

-6:42 Terri is the last known person to have seen Kyron before he disappeared.

-2:20 We're hoping that because she was here at the time that Kyron disappeared and with him and I mean it's naturally she'd be with him, she brought him to school

-1:40 She's associated with the case because she was, you know, the last person to see Kyron.

Yes, I was just looking at that. June 18th. And,to me, it makes it all the more strange that several reporters began using the "last known adult " phrase. It surely had to have come from somewhere ; I do not think they all just made it up from whole cloth, and then repeated it. There really could be way more to this statement.IMO. I wonder if this was something that LE might have asked the media to not mention, but then it got out by mistake ? As I said interesting.I want to find out more about this.... IMO

I'm in case review thread #11 for June 18. Here's what LE actually said:
BeanE just listened to this. Do we have any thing after this, from LE that states that Terry was the last known person to see Kyron inside the school, as to me LE is not stating that Terry is the last known person to see Kyron inside the school, just that she is the last known person to see Kyron. This does not discount any one that saw him in the school, but to me LE still insists Terry is the last known person to see Kyron that day, no mater what the location that might be.

I think the dates that Staton said inside the school were June 11 and July 2. I just posted about it maybe a week ago. Somewhere in the depths of this forum lol.

You could try the case quotes thread. I might have stuck it in there.

The July 2 statement though, Staton *may* have been referring back to what he was thinking on June 4. Best to read the whole section of the article on that one so you can see the context and see what you think.

Just listened to Staton video for July 2. He was answering a question, asking if Terry and Kyron were in fact seen in the school that day, didn't hear him ever say Terry was the last known person to see Kyron in the school that day. It never clicked to me before, That Terry could possibly be the last known person to see Kyron outside the school that day, as per the June 18 video, never says inside the school.

Sorry. The July 2 is an interview of Staton, a news article. I think the link is in the 2nd or 3rd post of the case review intro thread, where I listed all the press conferences.

Sorry, I can't find it.

The interview is linked in the 2nd post in the case review intro thread, where I listed all the press conferences.

Here's the quote from Staton about inside the school:

"One of the major, major players in this, which you don't normally call in initially, but I had them called in the very first day that this started, was the FBI. I felt because of the circumstances behind this type of a search, the fact that it involved a child, it was inside of a school, was the last known sight of the child, this was significant to me. It was very important and I felt that I needed to have all of the resources available. This is an unusual circumstance for a child to come up missing inside a school.

I just realized you asked if Staton ever specifically said Terri last known person inside the school.

No, I've posted several times that when Gates said Terri was last known person, he gave no time, and no place. The LE reference to Kyron being last seen inside the school, and never seen leaving the school, are separate from Terri as last known person to see.

Sorry if I confused the issue.

Yes I see where Staton said why he brought in the FBI, because of Terri being the last known person to see Kyron inside the school, I think he was referring to June 4. But actually I referred to it being LE as saying, I think it's Gates, Terry was the last known person to see Kyron on the day he disappeared, this has been after the comment of Kyron being last seen in the school. Sorry if I'm confusing the issue.

** Please note that it's important, since we'll be reviewing a variety of information, that we don't turn this into a General Discussion thread, and cause more work for our mods. The goal is to look for new information, information that now has more meaning to us than it did earlier, and document it here, so let's stay focused!

If we want to discuss possible meanings of what we find, let's do it in one of the discussion threads, so we can stay focused on our fact finding mission here.

Please review the guidelines for the Case Review threads and stay away from general discussions.

If something comes up that sounds interesting as a new topic, feel free to open a topic thread. Thanks!
