Casey Anthony attorneys: Throw out murder indictment

No, there has been over 10,000 pages of discovery. It just took the defense a year to get an attorney that filed typical motions instead of selling photos when he should have been filing for a speedy trial and yachting with Geraldo when he should have agreed to a gag order. Oh, that would have precluded all the press junkets on national TV for his wonderful attempt to get this tried in the media so he could moan and groan about that.

Right On Sister!!! Right on!!!

I've had about all I can take! I mean really! Really? Why shouldn't we hold KC accountable for the life, and or death of her daughter? It was she who was caring for the child. It was she, that claimed Caylee was fine, in fact she had been hitting the beaches, the theme park and having a tremendous summer! Of cousre not with her, Mama KC, not with her G'ma, not with anyone that any family member (or friend) could identify, give a description of, or phone number for ..... BUT, Caylee was just fine, gibbering on about her shoes, and a book .... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????

Sumpin *MORE* than stinks here ....

Jose and friends ... if you were really "frineds" of Caylee, we wouldn't have to ever go to trial ... you wouldn't have to put her grandparents through all of this. But, alas, her grandparents apparently have more at stake than the loss of thier precious grandchild ... her name means very little now ... *sigh*

Caylee means something more to us, us here, at a fricking crime forum, than she does to her family ... OUI VEY!!! Shame on you, KC! Shame on you AND your family!

Something terrible happened to this child. Whatever that was, KC, you know what happened, and you chose *NOT* to reach out for help! *YOU* chose to not even report her missing!!!! Your mother only reported Caylee missing once she realized how serious this was, once she realized she wasn't REALLY in control of you. Shame on her too!

I'm overwhelmed with sadness for this little girl! Any one of us would have, could have done more for her!

I personally can't wait to read Ashton's responses to these motions!

While they can not share their opinions via emoticons, smileys, or ROFLMAO icons......I believe their language will demonstrate their position and mood.

I want to give the SA and the Defense respect in this matter. I have found in my life that when I reduce myself to calling someone a name (Ie Bozo Clowns), it means I have nothing left of substance to argue. I respectfully submit that it was a good idea to present this motion.

It is a Nobel thing to be a Defense Attorney as well as a Prosecutor.

It took SA a year to turn over the discovery that shows they have no physical evidence. Thats why
If they believed the indictment was flawed they should have filed an earlier motion. They contend there client is innocent. What difference does it matter what the State claims/shows...they'll dispute it anyway. IMO, they're after the "death penalty jury" more than anything else.

I think that Judge Strickland will strike this motion but may require the state to give up some facts.

He struck the other motion to dismiss, but he left the door open for the Defense to prove their claim in Febuary. That is a lot of time. Something must be up with that.

I dont think he addressed the motion to drop the death penalty. Does anyone know whatever happened to that?

I have a legal question. If a defense keeps putting in motions to drop charges, at what point does a Judge have to explain why he is striking? Or does a Judge have to explain his actions at all?
What's up with that? JB whined his elderly experts couldn't examine the crime scene via computer.

Good lawyering does not equal Noble, it's just good lawyering. In essence, that is the whole idea behind good lawyering ... isn't it?

But...notthatsmart.....I have given him the benefit of the doubt....only to be disappointed by his lack of respect for the Honorable Stan Strickland, his continued "whining", his turning a blind eye to the terms of KC's bail, his claims of racial bias (umm his client named an hispanic female), his taking advantage of his client for his own gain.....and more.
I have not reduced myself to calling names. I just have nothing left to support his actions in a positive light. As I said before in post #61. It is his job to file this motion. Please review....
I feel for her family because if their daughter had not been so determined to cover her tracks, they may have had a future to look forward to. KC and JB have robbed them of that. Do you understand my position?

I dont think they are worried about the Death Penalty.

I think they are trying to get the SA to release some facts.

I dont even know if they filed an earlier motion to dismiss due to lack of facts. Did they?

Again, to stay on topic, there was no evidence that any of the above committed a crime. There was a dead body in Casey's trunk (and I loathe spelling her whole name). So I guess it must have been the dead squirrels feeding off the bamboo. But still, the defense knows that Caylee was in that trunk. Their posturing suggests to me, that their hands are tied by their client. She still insists the "nanny" did it. Remember she never implicated TL. In fact, far from it. So all they have is what their client is giving them...hot air.

And let's not foget whom KC pointed the finger at...Zanny. Why would LE search the neighbors house or car? OR anyone else for that matter. NOW if KC would have said "I don't know who took Caylee" that would be different. Instead LE was left on a wild goose chase for Zanny..unfortunately not only did they not find her house or car...they couldn't even find her..shame on them LOL.

My father was a criminal defense attorney...he'd be the first to admit there's nothing noble about it.

They're worried about a death penalty qualified jury.

OH yes......I happen to know the attorney representing Joe Francis of GGW......he has even said derogatory things.....and have a friend that is a defense attorney that has dubbed his home..."the house that crime built".

I understand that the Defense has put in this motion and it can be a big disapointment to many Sleuthers after the way the Defense has acted over the last year. I still believe that Casey has a right to a fair trial in spite of the fact that the legal system can be shameful. I am going to still respect the Defense even if they make mistakes and do incompetent things. I am going to still respect the SA even if they make mistakes and do incompetent things.

I love it that the defense put in this motion and I can't wait to see the States response with equal respect.

Since they're grasping at straws I thought I'd throw a few silly one's out here...their motions are as silly as these straws and the 4 leaf clovers aren't going to bring them any luck. The safest place in the word for KC right now is right where she is, in jail. It's no secret, she is the most hated person in the state of Florida. I believe advocating for her release is completely irresponsible and just down right stupid.

I think I am going to have to testify for the defense. :( I don't think that LE investigated me. I mean I live in Ohio, don't know any of the principals, wasn't in Fl. when Caylee went missing and wasn't there for the searches. But the way the defense is talking, a lack of evidence that points to anyone else is not a good enough excuse for not investigating others. So do you think that I should point out that I was never investigated?

Believing in something is not for nothing. I'm certainly not judging the *man* here, but I am judging the attorney, in this case!

I keep seeing the image of the scales of justice, oddly, it appears to be the same scales used to wiegh the many varieties of substance we consume, like bolgna lol ... sorry for the pun, couldn't resist!

It's been a year, and the defense has not revealed a crumb of fact that their client is innocent. They've claimed many hours of airtime...not a single crumb. I think it's pretty obvious... they'd be throwing something in the ring if they had it.

the defense is trying to wiggle some information out of the prosecutor

the defense can try and wiggle all night and day

but, all the wiggling in the world doesnt change the facts.
:croc:

hehehehehe

I don't think that anyone is disappointed by JB's actions, as much as perplexed by them. Let's face it..... the guy is green. Why she was compelled to put her trust in him may never be known. I think that the SA as well as JS gave her an out and she failed to take it. Both sides will make mistakes, there will be missteps, and moments that leave us puzzled. But at the end of the day......I think that the biggest question will be WHY did KC gamble with her life? JB alienated KC's parents and left no room for negotiation. HE insisted upon keeping this train wreck moving as opposed to derailing it in his clients best interests. I have to ask WHY??

I think also the Defense may be trying to draw out the States case by forcing them to state facts. That is my opinon only.
