Actually, I believe Casey had a break with reality which was coming for a long time. Can any of you imagine living in a house with G & C and remaining completely sane? Can anyone here picture a huge family fight, with all involved, then having a tiny child come up missing and no one searches for her for 31 days? I can, but all of this is just my own conjecture through a very distored view of life brought on by a rather rough childhood loosely following an Anthony scenerio. Stranger things have happened, Horatio...
My opinion only
Break from reality as evidenced by what?
She has always known who and where she is and exactly what she's doing. As evidenced by her many stretgies to attempt to cover up.
Also, no one, during this entire debacle, has noted any break from reality or disorientiation in KC, at all. No hallucination, no delusion, no disorientation re: person, place, time, or circumstance.
Give it up, folks. She knew what she was doing, and she knew it was wrong.
Nobody forced her to do anything. Nobody forced her to cover it up. Nobody forced her to enjoy her social time while her child was, ostensibly, in mortal danger.
But, let's say they WAS a "Mr. Big" who somehow forced KC drive around for a week with her baby's dead body in the car.
In order to counter all the evidence that implicates KC, and ONLY KC, JB will have to present a theory that has some evidence behind it. A who, how, and why, and as evidenced by what? Otherwise, he's going to be as risable as was Scott Peterson's attorney, when he said that maybe Satanists, hippies, the mail man, whomever, did it.
JB said that KC has an explanation with will be entirely believable, and that will "make everything clear". If he DID have such, he could likely have gone straight to LE with it, and got her out of jail.
As for the the theory that KC is actually crazy-- evidence of that is needed, as well. No one noticed any break from reality. The prison neither medicated her, not did they forbid release on bail. KC, herself, bragged about how well she did in her psych evaluation.
And, we know that a LOT of women have killed their children for freedom, for a guy, or for spite, and have gone on their merry ways. No plot, no conspiracy, no psychosis.
It's all about the evidence. JB can't just come into court, and say, "Maybe somebody else did it." There's too much evidence that KC did it. JB has to present believable specifics.
