Im afraid I have to disagree that next to nothing has been done by the defense and their experts. JB stated in court that most of his experts have completed over 60% of their work, and some even more than that. There have been a multitude of motions filed by the defense, many of these have to be filed as stated by our own lawyers here at WS. It was not that long ago that JS finally said to both sides you will turn over ALL discovery by a certain date. It would have been impossible for the defense to complete all their work until after they had received all the discovery. Depositions would have been somewhat useless until the defense had all the discovery, they could not have known what questions to ask until they had the discovery. It seems that gamesmanship from both sides has played a part in why more work on this case has not been completed. Judge Perry has put a stop to all that, and if JB was foolish enough to have LIED to JP in that hearing about how much work had been completed, I think there will be Hedoublehockeysticks to pay for him doing so. The defense did a lot of work in getting the RK motion ready, and they have attempted to do work on the TES records and Joe Jordan situation. I think both sides have done an awful lot of work on this case, and I think JP will now get both sides to focus their energies on completing the work that needs to be completed and get this case to trial by May of next year. JP has stated quite clearly, that he will be going over the billing with a fine toothed comb, so the good taxpayers of Florida do not get fleeced, and I, for one, am quite confident that JP is fully capable of making sure the defense does not overcharge the state. KC has been declared indigent and JP will do everything within his legal power to ensure she receives a fair trial, and at the same time he will also do everything within his legal power to keep the cost to the taxpayers as low as he legally can, while ensuring she receives a fair trial. All of the above is MOO
