Oh my. Jean is leaving him in the morgue to spite his kids, that's beyond sad. What a hateful *****.
I don't think Jean has any intentions of burying Casey. I don't think she wants to spend the money. And she wants to further hurt his kids. She's a horrible woman.
She didn't visit him in the nursing home in Santa Monica, and she had already moved on to a new boyfriend. She was done with Casey, except for his money. She just wants to do anything to spite his kids! Wonder if anyone still supports her?
[modsnip] IMHO
Casey has been there a month, the ME would have ordered an autopsy if it was warranted.
Daughter seeks right for autopsy of Casey Kasem
TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- A judge in Washington state has granted Casey Kasem's daughter a temporary restraining order preventing the famous radio host's second wife from cremating or removing his remains from a funeral home.

Jean Kasem, the radio personality's second wife, had been embroiled in a conflict with his children from a previous marriage over her husband's medical care for months before he died. She collected the body within 72 hours of his death.
Kerri Kasem was informed Thursday that Kasem's body was no longer at the mortuary, where it remained for a month.
Gaffney Mortuary also confirms that Kasem is no longer in their care.

Are the BBMs confusing to anyone else? Which was it 72 hours or a month because I am pretty sure it cannot be both??![]()
You might feel vastly different if Casey was YOUR father.
Jean also likely, despite Casey's written wishes, cremated Casey so no autopsy could be performed. As well to spite his children who will now never have a grave or anything to visit.

BBM. From the same article: A Washington state judge on Wednesday forbade movement of the body from the funeral home, according to the New York Daily News. The order was based on a request by Kerri Kasem to have an autopsy conducted on Kasem to investigate suspicions of elder abuse, Deraney said. This has become a tiresome soap opera. What good will an autopsy do now?IF it is at all possible. If there were charges of elder abuse, an autopsy would have been done. The last days of his life, Casey was in a hospital under the care of doctors, as Kerri wanted and went to a judge to have court ordered. There is a saying about 'beating a dead horse'.
Casey Kasem's body is missing, says his daughter.
No it's not, says his wife. "Now leave me alone to grieve."

ETA: That should have been 'leave us to grieve.' Dunno who that's refering to.
