Casey Smirks In Front Of Jury

What bother's me as much as her smirking is her constant grooming. She touches her hair, postitions and re-positions her clothing. I also noticed that she has a hair extention. Yes, just what every defendant who is accused of murdering her child needs. A pony tail.

Sooooooooo let the girl smirk- Let her think her idiot lawyer made any lead way with Yuri M. She's the only one....... :loser: She was too stupid to even be embarrassed to have all her lies laid out for all to hear. She never showed one once of horror as she twisted this weird tale.

I couldnt help but notice as soon as the screen flipped off, pretty sure it was with Lee, as soon as he was gone I think she thought the 'recording' had stopped, she dried right up and obviously checked her reflection in the screen in front of her, flipped her little hair around some and I detected a sigh of "whewww, glad THAT'S over.....NEXT!"

Today she had a very small bob loosely positioned on the top of her head. In my opinion there is no way that she had the same amount of hair in that bob as she did when she wore that ponytail. The day that she wore the ponytail was also the day that she uber checked the top of her head by patting it. This was so she could make sure the hairspray was keeping her real hair down.

I know I sound petty to get worked up about her grooming in court. But it just shows me that no matter what, Casey is going to worry about Casey and by God if she is going to go down she is going to squeeze every bit of "Me Time" that she can, while she can. Right down to extentions, hairspray, new clothes...

I am also getting caught up on YM testimony. BTW, Fabulous witness. I love the way he also includes the jury in his responses. Wow. I just listened to his interview with her. She is a very crafty liar. We have all been seeing this for 3 years, but it is finally hitting me to see this much information in such a short period of time. I just see no way that JB can recover this. This girl couldn't tell the truth to save her life and I think her credibility is NIL with the jury at this point.

Anyway, I usually will watch WESH in the morning, that shows picture in picture with ICA. During the day I listen in audio only, but at night I want to watch. It would be nice to have the picture in picture, as we don't get to see ICA's reactions. Is anyone aware of replay videos that have pic in pic or show more of ICA during testimony. WFTV really doesn't show her at all.

What the heck was Baez doing today? Was he trying to score points with the jury by criticizing YM over the way he engages the jury on direct, but apparently wasn't doing enough of it on cross? He sounded like a jealous little kid or something.

Plus, when ChM conducted cross on the Universal guy, he was practically accusing him of doing something sneaky with LE when KC conducted her charade-parade at Universal. There was nothing illegal about what they did, and his clients fault for putting herself in that position. So what if everybody already knew she didn't work there.

Robin, believe us, she does not have an extension. The long pony tail is genuine. She has been in jail for three years and has not cut her hair in that time.

Interesting about the big congratulatory smirk for Yuri. I did not see it. However, I DID see something equally weird when Lee was on the stand. She was boo hooing and going all cow-eyed in his direction. It seemed to me that she was likely really hoping he would look her way. Then, much to my amazement, she appeared to kiss her own wrist! Honest to Pete! It was the briefest moment and I could barely believe it, but there it was!

Check out this video of ICA while Yuri was on the stand, as she listened to her taped interview being played.

She follows along with the transcript on her screen until ~ 1:48 when they get to the part where Yuri asks her if she has ever harmed her child. She slooooowly raises her eyes and looks at either Yuri or someone on the jury. It's really creepy! The look in her eyes! Remember at this same moment ("did you ever harm your child?") Yuri looked up from his screen and looked over at ICA.

Now that I see both views (Yuri and ICA) I see what a powerful moment that was.

I wish I knew what she said to JB just then.

She does indeed love to look at herself perform. She could not take her eyes off of herself today, and as my wife noted, her emotions mirrored those she was witnessing herself perform on the screen. She cried only when she saw herself doing it in the tape, not in response to dialog cues. That's been her pattern throughout the trial as well. When "normal" people might be expected to react to the mention of the possibility of their young (now deceased) child drowning, for example, she shows no interest beyond a perpetually annoyed pout; yet, given the opportunity to see or hear others speaking about her and her reactions,she tends to respond appropriately.

All too familiar, unfortunately, to those of us unfortunate enough to have endured narcissists in our lives. Thank goodness I cannot claim that any of them are sociopathic to the degree this young woman clearly is.

Not ashamed about anything, really. I've noticed her nose will get kind of a translucent red when she begins to cry, but she has never blushed for anything, including her mother discussing her periods and when she started them. Okay, that's worthy of a blush, imo.

She has OCD! Obssesive Compulsive Disorder. It means she's constantly having to do certain gestures (probably a counted number of times) in order to feel in control. She has to tap her eyelids x number of times, and tap her red shoes x number of times, and if she doesn't - things go "wrong". Leave it to say, been there done that, it doesn't have anything to do with a "mental illness" that could mitigate her cold-bloodedly killing her child.

So, what is her cell size...approximately 10 X 10? ***shrugs*** "Just a guess" minus the cot, toilet and sink. Doesn't leave much room to practice her strut. :floorlaugh:
