Casey's car: Did she intend to retrieve it from Amscot or what?

ICA purposely dumped it and was never going back for it.

• Car stench had gotten unbearable, and would have been noticed by friends
• Gas can run around was just to fool her friends into thinking that she wanted it back and, then once found, allow her to feign shock about the stench
• Left it in a parking lot, which I “think” was the route that CA took to get to work
• Parking lot had tow signs posted
• Left Amy’s resume in the car – information that would track back to ICA
• ICA was aware that the A’s were seriously looking for her
• Had to put the Zanny the Nanny kidnapping story into play and explain why Caylee was gone

ICA was aware that CA and LA were tracking her, with LA coming close one night but she had fled the scene. This may have put some real fear into ICA, and she could not take a chance that LE would become involved while she still had the car. We now know that ICA never left the Orlando area, never bought bus/train/airline tickets with Amy’s money, and did not seem to have an exit plan. I think she needed to put the nanny kidnapping story into motion to deal with her family, and the sad fact that she could never produce Caylee.

I also have a front door that is rarely used....my mailbox is down the road from our home.....If I have a registerd letter, the mail carrier leaves me a note in my mail box stating when it can be picked up at the post office......I do not think the mail carrier made the extra trip to the front door of the home.......I think this is another lie by the A's.....the mail box is for the mail.....unless the letter was sent via Fed-ex, or UPS......

Perhaps this is what happened: Mailman places mail in mailbox. There is a registered letter, so he goes to the Anthony's front door to knock, so they can sign for the letter. The Anthony's are not home, so he slips a note in their door. There is no reason for him to go back and put a note in the box when he is right there at the Anthony's front door. My mail carrier always places notes like that in our door, not the box. JMO.

ICA dumped it never planning to retrieve it. At the time she didn't even seem worried that it smelled like.death. If anyone's had smelled it the police could have quickly become involved.
HOW ODD! That CA PAID to bring it home and clean it.
THAT SAYS A LOT TO ME ABOUT WHO WAS TRYING TO COVER SOMETHING UP AND WHO DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE...

I always believed she did in fact want to retrieve it at some point but it was gone when she got back.
That was her only transportation and needed wheels. She's not a bright star so I believe in her mind, if she just let it sit awhile, out of sight, the smell would go away. She didn't go back right away because she was using Tony's car, then Amy's car. She just didn't NEED it, yet.
I think this girl is an idiot and just thought it would be clear when she finally went back to get it.
Her non-plan fell through.

How do you make the dots? :waitasec:

Especially when you couple the fact there was a long time span before CA mentioned all of this to 911. The time span is what gets me when G and CA brought it home. Clean it up, go back to work, come back home and THEN call Amy ? I'm saying C and GA spent too much time on other things than on the main objective which was Caylee and ICA being gone all that time, the odor and not acting immediately on any of things that were important. CA should have called it in way prior, but didn't. When she finally did, it took her a month of Sundays before the excited utterance was heard and the other excuses were out of the way. I know if it were me, I'd have been calling the police prior to 31 days and I'd sure be calling them from the towyard and let them handle the situation, I mean if I was clueless to what had happened. These A's were not clueless .:banghead:

If I recall correctly, Cindy and George were on a short out-of-town vacation when the original notice was delivered to their mailbox. I think this delayed the process of them being notified and a registered letter notice was needed. Anyone else remember it this way?

I do not remember anything being in their mailbox, only a letter that they found in their door one day when they went around front doing some yard work......I could be totally off here....

I think she most definately wanted it stolen.

ETA: Because she was going to say someone stole the car with Caylee in it, so that person would be blamed for the murder. MOO

I totally agree.

My purse and oh yeah my child. Right.

I don't recall them taking a vacation during this time. I think they just didn't see the note was on their door because they said they don't use that door much...I thought they said they were doing some work in the front of the house when they noticed the note being there. They also didn't go to the post office right away because they didn't have time.

This is something I've wondered...once, my husband and I were on our way to wal mart, and we got behind a hog farm truck. Evidently it had sprung a leak and either waste or fumes were coming out. We couldn't see it, but we could darn well smell it. Well, the odor was so horrible, I immediately started crying and my husband started gagging. And even though this whole experience only lasted about 30 seconds, and our windows were rolled up, we had to go home and shower, because that smell had gotten onto our bodys,on our clothes, and worst of all, in our hair. This is what I think... she rode around in that car until she realized the smell was getting in her hair, etc...and she didn't want people noticing. Maybe the reason she didn't burn it was because she was scared of the attention it would bring her way from investigators...because she didn't have her daughter. If it was stolen, she could later report her daughter missing, and blame the thief for her death...say she left her in the car for a few minutes. maybe, IDK, but it might have worked if the car hadn't stunk so bad. MOO.

If I have a letter or package for pick up my mail carrier leaves a sticky type note on my door, not in my mailbox. IIRC the A's have their own mailbox, not a group one and they don't have a long driveway or anything. My sister's house is set way back from the street and her mailbox is across the street from her, she receives her notices in her mailbox.

One thing about the car I have never understood is the guy at the tow yard. He said the car smelled the way another car did after someone had committed suicide in it, so why didn't he call the police? I know he isn't required to or anything, but wouldn't he have wondered what was in that trunk?

What do you mean by she recon's the tow yard area? She went to the tow card according to cell pings and sees it there? How did she know which tow yard its in? There's many tow yards Do they have a record of her trying to call and figure out where it was?

Forgive me, but what does "recon's" mean? I have never heard of this word before. Thank you.

Wow...good memory.

they may have a mailbox at their front door.....when I went down there to help search, I went by the home and did not see one....but it could have been placed where I did not see it......I remember GA talking about he and Caylee walking to get the mail.....I did see the group kind of boxes, so I just thought this is what he was talking about.....who knows with these folks!
