Too bad they didn't tape her reaction from the JBP discovery so that the jury may compare reactions..*snap*

I snickered when I read about this. The inmate thinks she is so clever.
Good job LE!

My question would be .... what did they tell Casey was the reason they were taking her to the nurse's station?

And did she know that she was being videotaped? Because it is entirely possible that all of that doubling over, was an act for the camera. To make her look distraught. If that was the case..she obviously missed the part where the remains were not identified yet, and forgot that she didn't double over and look distraught, when the bag was pulled up at JBP. Of course...she could have just realized that she was in deep doo-doo. Which would be my guess.

Good point.

I don't think she will ever react to what she's done. Only to being thwarted in her plans to become the World's Best Evah Event Planner at Fusion.

I think she reacted with her partying and almost manic happiness and excitement. She was thrilled. And then pizzed when she was arrested and couldn't keep on celebrating.

Heck yeah...that IS too bad.

I absolutely love that this is on tape. It must have made Casey so frushtrated to find this out.

*snicker snicker*

haha, frushtrated...when i read that i knew exactly what you were talking about! her speech has always aggravated me for some reason!

And folks- ITS ADMISSIBLE! Its a verbal act, not hearsay, not an "admission" that invokes the 5th amendment. And even with the nurse/hippa situation (which was a great question), you just can't say what she was in the nurse's office for - her verbal act of breaking down is completely admissible.

I don't know... maybe technically admissible, but doesn't it have to be more probative than unfairly prejudicial? I can't see any legitimate reason for a judge to let this in. I don't know the local FL rules of evidence, but I can't imagine that they would be that lenient.

Now there is some video JB can hawk for money!!!

If LE isn't going to release it to the public before the trial, I shamefully admit I'd be tempted to pay him $500 for the right to see it and share it one time with all registered WSers. It would be worth it to finally see KC suffer a little for what she did to Caylee. At least it would to me. I know, I know, it's wrong to line JB's pockets, so don't flame me. :blowkiss:

Actually what she said was, "I can't believe this is happening!"

That's what I remember, too. It will be interesting to see if that was accurate information.

A couple of weeks ago there was a thread started which touched on this topic. In that thread it was reported that a jail employee went to KC's cell for the specific purpose of telling her that remains had been found near Suburban. The poster wondered whether KC's reported reaction under those circumstances could be used against her at trial. I stated rather emphatically that it could not be, entrapment issues, violation of 6th amendment rights etc. However, if this new report is true, the circumstances surrounding her reaction are far different than the original version reported on the other thread, and the legal opinion is therefore different. I don't see any difference, from a legal perspective, between what LE did here and circumstances where LE puts an informant in the same cell as a defendant and tries to get them to talk about the crime, the latter being admissible in court. In my opinion, LE will try to introduce it at trial. The defense, however, will scream entrapment.

(Bold mine) Either that, or they will use it to attempt to demonstrate that Casey was, indeed, distraught that her baby was found dead.
Tough call, that.

If they claim entrapment they'll need to explain just what it is that KC is being trapped about,

...and if they say she was distraught they have to explain how she knew it was Caylee.

Is that what is called a Lose-Lose situation?

tsk! tsk! You are not. You just want to see justice for Caylee. I do too, but I'm angry.
I'd love to see that conceited, selfish, self-center, egotistical brat, jealous of her own baby girl, driven to her knees.

That's exactly how I feel, Callie.

Not for that!:blowkiss:

The fact that she showed no emotion at all with the JB park finding before it was known what was found says VOLUMES!!

hmmmm yes. Any other previous 'finds' of a potential childs body, bag of bones, etc her current reaction says it all. Man I'm so pleased she's so stooopid.

Awww heck. Let's let Tricia put a price, we'll all pay individually and Tricia will have money to keep WS running 4ever thanks to 1 case!

The judge would have to rule on admissibility, but its an instant reaction to a current event - and the defense would have an opportunity to explain it as they see fit. I don't know if the defense would put up that much of a fight if it actually shows emotion.

And the prosecution will say its so damning because if KC "knew" Caylee was alive and safe, she wouldn't have freaked out if a body was found. The defense will try to say she was so upset because she thought Caylee was alive, and someone now killed her.

I wonder if KC really did just have a panic attack - no tears, no grief - but more just "nooooo" - if the prosecution could try to show video of actual reaction of parents when they have discovered their children were killed. Not that there are archives of that, but at least I'd assume a parent would be CRYING and just so SAD more than angry as the initial reaction- you'd think the anger would have came on day 1 when the baby was missing.

I understood that she was told by a prison chaplin. Is this a credible source?

Good point. I have no idea what a "credible source" is any more--other than NS, JA, etc.

Wasn't that when the official ruling was made that the remains were Caylee? This was prior to an identification; at this point the news was just reporting that the remains of a child were found--and where they were found!

I think it was just so foxy of LE to make sure she was sitting in front of not only a TV, but a video camera as well.
JB is gonna have a fit!

Damn, that was so impressively cunning. I think I'm in love.

This Video is going to be very damaging to Casey's defense

If she "Felt it in her gut" that Caylee was alive why would she assume that this body was Caylee......?

Also, I really feel bad for Jessie G. because it looks to me like Casey has already been sowing the seeds that he is the so called "Kidnapper".

I can see it now......Casey will say that Jessie threatened to harm her family & Caylee if she told anyone that he had Caylee. Thats why she never reported her missing & why she came up with the fake Zenaida story.

She'll also say that he had access to the house & car & that he was very jealous of her new boyfriend.

He's the most likely person for her to blame for all this & you know that she's going to point the finger at someone because the Zanny story is an obvious lie.

I know I'm going straight to hades for this, but I feel a certain sense of satisfaction that she reacted so violently to to a body being discovered near her house. Because at the time only she knew that it was Caylee.

I like the fact they took her to the nurses station so she could see the breaking coverage. In my mind they took her there so there wasn't anyway for her to ignore it.

I want to see that tape too, but my reasons are selfish and hateful. I really need to pray because I've turned absolutely hardhearted in my middle age.

I dunno. How often do we get to see the perp's true reactions? In a sea of mendacity, this is a pure honest moment, the perp revealed. I think it would give a lot of people satisfaction, just on that level.
