So between 6/22/08 at 6pm (Sunday) and 6/24/08 at 10am (Tuesday), someone stole gas. Assuming this was Casey that did this... Again, she probably didn't act alone. But this may be the same time frame that she borrowed the shovel.

Still not sure why steal gas when she has credit cards, unless she stole the credit cards on the same day she stole the gas. This might explain why Cindy has tabs on her whereabouts for the last 2 weeks, which would be directly after this time, up until they go the car back and realized something is wrong.

Yes, we always come back to that timeline dont we?
However, the addition of stolen gas? Why steal gas vs. buy it and put in car?
a) she figured out her Mom was on to her with the cards.
b)You dont want the transaction of purchasing gas on the cards, or be seen on video buying it in an area where you dont what people to look.
c)Your going to torch the car and decide on a different story in the meantime.
d) You burn something else with the gas

Please don't think that is what I mean. I am not at all about getting into anyone's lived or hurting anyone that is innocent. Like i said, i have never emailed or im'ed or anything any of these people. I only view to form my thoughts of where this girl could be or unfortunatly where her body may be? I am sorry if I offended anyone.

Not a problem for me, but the owner of this Forum, Tricia put an email regarding this under another thread here. Please read it, because it could affect all of us. People are reading this forum from detectives, news reporters, lawyers. It's about a lawsuit, basically.

Your pic turned out to be quite full of clues, didn't it? If this gas was actually stolen by Casey, the "burns" makes perfect sense. It's amazing, that's what!

You are correct!

I just got off the phone with the authorities and they are aware of this.
They say they can't control what the family or Keepers hand out.
They also know that Cindy is trying to divert tips to her personal cell phone.
They don't like it but can't stop it.
They are trying as hard as possible to keep putting out the correct tip line number they want people to call.
They are frustrated about this.

When I said I see shades of Jackie Peterson, I got a "yeah".

The Anthonys are not doing much except hanging around the house.

Geez. If that was my baby or a family members or a friends or even a strangers WE'D BE OUT BEATING DOWN DOORS, LOOKING UNDER BUSHES...WHAT EVER IT TOOK!! what is with those people???

Ok, back to the case. I think the attorney and LE are playing games with each other. Now we have the report of the shed being broken into and two gas cans stolen at the exact same time that we find out about the gag order.
Interesting timing.

Maybe she used the gas to get back from wherever as not to get gas on camera or use a cc that would be tracked.

Casey had her mother's credit card on which she allegedly ran up $45,000 worth of charges. I can't see her breaking into the shed to steal the gas when she had the credit cards. Breaking into that shed took time and effort.

But, on the other hand, I think Casey must have broken into the shed. She would know that her father stored gas in the shed. According to the police report, the gas was the only thing missing.

bingo! and she still had the white car (obviously). The white car, when towed, was out of gas.

Maybe it is because they have started to investigate Cindy and how much she knew, when, etc. They would want to distance themselves from her in that case and only speak to the people they feel are instrumental in resolving this.

By the way, I believe in investigating any case to the fullest...however, I am out on bringing in every person ever mentioned on those sites or in conversation. I don't recall us ever having done it before and I don't think it is neccessary to do it publically. This is fine behind the scenes, but they are all innocent bystanders who happened into this case accidently. They are being victimized here and I want no part of it.

I agree with SS that they are running a paralell investigation of Cindy and that at this point they think she is a hinderance to communication for sure.

Only thing that pops out at me is she stole the gas the same day she stole the credit cards. It may not have registered in her mind that she could buy gas on credit cards. Most would think.... shopping!

I'm thinking Cindy and Casey had a huge fight. Holidays like Mothers Day/Fathers Day are time bombs for families like this...loaded with emotions.

Maybe Cindy said something like...too bad Caylee doesn't have a father around to visit on Father's Day (just hypothesizing here) and that set things off. Obviously just a guess on my part.

Hear, Hear!!! I'm with you!! I'm also with Baez for filing for a gag order. Those phone calls and videos with visitors should never have been made public and THAT is MY opinion.

It's his job to think about things like that. Casey being tried in the so-called "court of public opinion" taints the jury pool and makes it impossible for her to get a fair trial.

Just for the record, in case it wasn't evident, I think she's guilty as sin. But he's just doing his job.

I have to agree that he is just doing his job. However, shouldn't he have done this in the beginning when both he and Cindy were running around on every national media show?! Maybe it is just me...but it seems like too little too late.

George reported 2 cans of gas valued @ $50 stolen from his shed.
Pizza is dried up.....its still there. No stink....lol Guess I should toss it now.

Thanks ChattyWoman for doing the experiment........it settles the issue of the "pizza in the trunk" smell.

I think that amount has to be wrong??? Who could run up that much in charges in 31 days without a major purchase of some sort.

SS, I just hate to think about the alternative scenario. If she had credit cards for gas, then why would the car have been abandoned without gas (assuming that is true). Certainly she wasn't worried about spending her mother's money. Maybe the cards were max'd out at that point.

Maybe she didn't want there to be evidence of a purchase of gas?
