Caylee's grandmother, Cindy Anthony, said her daughter is afraid there may be several people involved in Caylee's disappearance.
Cindy Anthony would not say more than that when News 13 caught up with her Saturday evening.
"We haven't had any major threats, or anything like that, but she warned us of certain people to stay clear of," Cindy Anthony said.
Cindy said Casey will meet with investigators she feels she can trust to talk more about her daughter's disappearance, and how to get her back.

I heard a comment on Fox today by a retired New York detective saying that the FBI probably would not get involved in this case unless it crossed state lines. He said that it was local jurisdiction - OCSO.

AND I do not buy Casey or the grandmother's BS!

Unless the police make further charges soon, I see this case dropping from the "most popular" list on NG etc. in about a week. You can only rehash Casey's many lies so long.

Casey does have access to TV and ITA with you - her family is trying to convey via the media that they are supportive of her in the hope that she will eventually come clean. If they alienate her, there is little chance she'll fess up. Judging by that first phone call Casey made from jail to home - she's EXTREMELY manipulative, demanding, and a spoiled brat. She's used to getting her way.

Yes, Casey sure IS a real piece of work......

And yet, Lee is very well spoken & mature.

I think it's unfair that people are so quick to blame Casey's behavior on the parents.... I don't think they failed as parents, I think they made mistakes like ALL parents do.

Each child is different & we have NO IDEA when Casey's behavior spun out of control. Casey is going through the issues that most teens/young adults do... trying to be more independent but still very immature..... except she has a baby & should be past this stage so that makes her behavior very unacceptable.

I'm sure since Caylee was born, the parents were forced to overlook a lot of 'attitude' in order to keep Caylee in their lives. Over time, they were forced to overlook more & more until they realized Casey was making a total mess of her life.

I bet things were NOT crazy in that household UNTIL Casey realized just how much leverage she could get from using Caylee as a bargaining chip whenever she wanted something OR whenever her family confronted her about her very immature & selfish behavior.

If not for the cadaver dogs & the forensics, I would believe Casey only hid Caylee from her family.

I wonder if the tow truck driver smelled anything when he towed the car from the parking lot.

Could Cindy have opened the trunk and found Caylee herself?

I think she would have immediately called 911 and would have been thinking that something bad had also happened to Casey.

I'm a bit afraid for the vigil tonight. Will anyone show up? If they do, will they be supportive or an angry mob with torches?
Huh a smile :dervish: lol

If a kidnapper did indeed have Caylee, you would think the family would be cooperating with LE, due to the national attention the case has been given. A kidnapper would become more likely to get rid of Caylee, if they know Caylee's picture has been on every major news show in Amercica. How did the "kidnapper" express these threats to casey? Is there a note, was there a phone call? I mean come on, this family needs to get over themselves and for once DO THE RIGHT THING FOR CAYLEE.

Cindy communicated with Casey every day. But your right she never saw her and now her car was abandoned, the reaction not to call authorites on the way to get Casey or before calling Amy may be odd as well.

Sooo I wonder what Cindy is going to do/think in about 5,10,15 years from now when Caylee still isn't home? When Casey is out living her life? I hope someone hits this family with the reality stick soon.

What I do not understand is why GMA and GPA did not call attention to the smell in the car to the responding deputies that night? They did come out.

Just jumping in with a Merk tidbit that may mean something. I'm not great at posting stuff from other sites so please all Google Merk City - you get an Urban dictionary meaning - could someone transfer info if they think pertinent. Thanks.

If Tony doesn't visit or correspond with Caysee in jail, it will be interesting to see how she reacts to that. I would love to hear if she talks to him as nastily as she talked to everyone else on the phone. He certainly would question her about Caylees whereabouts and she doesn't take too kindly to being asked anything about Caylee. I wonder if she would consider that call a bleeping waste too?

I agree with you, thisbliss!

She don't take kindly to talking about Caylee because she is being defensive! She is guilty as hell and she knows it...

I think the entire case is odd.....

Where is Caylee? Right now the lawyers should be ripping Casey's parental rights out from under her. Just to prove how ugly this really is.

Everyone needs to quit babying Casey & let her face reality. JMO

I sincerely doubt Caylee is alive or Casey would be singing like a bird by now. She has got to be going nuts sitting in jail & not out sporting the newest sexiest line of clothes she can buy.

i agree with you 100%. i think that is why she was such a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 to her parents when she called from jail. she is jealous. not only about why everyone is soooo much more concerned about caylee missing (as opposed to poor her being stuck in jail), but of the actual confinement itself and what she is missing out on - the parties, the booze, the boys, her amazing fraudulent life. casey didn't like to listen to anyone as it was, and that was before she went to jail - now her whole life is a rigid schedule dictated by others. she must be ready to crawl up the walls.

i am trying to put myself in her position. i would go crazy, obviously (but then again, i would never let my "stolen" kid go missing for a month, while partying like its my job. which maybe it was, because lets be serious, she didnt have any others). but i also would be barking and screaming everything in my power that could get me out of that tiny little monitored cell. i would be demanding they find my little girl. i would make them ensure me of my family's safety. but i would make my innocence known to anyone and everyone. unless, of course, i was guilty. then the only thing i could do would be to suck it up, weather the storm, and stick to my story (even if it is a crazy 🤬🤬🤬 tale that makes no sense whatsoever)...

The news media should do an interview with Casey. Not Cindy or the rest of the family, but with Casey, away from her family and lawyer. Would be interesting.

That seems odd to me too, they should have jumped on that quickly.

HUH?
Nice thoughts but this is more than a spin out of control over leverage. Casey is loved deeply to a fault her ways were well laid out long ago. She just became crafter. She is a product of a dysfunctional family. All need therapy especially now. In my opinion. The mistakes are costing dearly, now a young innocent life is in parts unknown. Enabling takes many forms and the bells and whistles are still bellowing.

NO, my concern was over why Cindy wasn't concerned over who the babysitter was?
I agree. Caylee, in my opinion, was being raised as her own and Casey like a "sister". As controlling as Cindy is...I find it very out of character for her not to check her out. However, did Cindy check out the list of "friends" who watched Caylee on a regular basis or was she just trusting them since Casey knew them?
