Absolutely!! I was thinking about that today when I heard her ever so demurely say "sir" to (obviously) one of the guards. She'll be playing them, too, shortly.

Casey would perceive it as a narcissirtc injury or in simple terms, emotional and physical abandonment.
Then do you think the family has consulted with a therapist how to best handle her?

A sociopath will generally deny any wrong doing...or will assign blame elsewhere. Good question about Susan Smith. I wish I had the answer.
my very own brother in law is the general manager for the auto auction in north carolina (adessa in charlotte) that cleaned, restored, and RESOLD TO A CAR DEALER AT AUCTION, the SUSAN SMITH CAR! He said it was beyond bizarre and all of his emplyees were freaked out in fixing it. He also said it was amazing that the car was even able to be fixed for auction because usually submerged cars are totals...meaning they are used for scrap or parts only.

From the view of one psychologist interviewed today, you don't corner these types. You let them talk about themselves because this is what is most important to them. If you corner them, back them against the wall, you'll be butting heads with them.
So how do we get around talking about Casey to finding about Caylee?

Hopefully this is clear...Sorry for using psychobabble in my previous posts. To meet the diagnosis usually psychological testing is conducted using the Rorschach/inkblot, TAT, MMPI, etc. as the judge in this case issued.

Histrionic personality disorder (HPD)
There is a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others occurring since age 15 years, as indicated by three (or more) of the following:

- Is uncomfortable in situations in which he or she is not the center of attention - - - Interaction with others is often characterized by inappropriate sexually seductive or provocative behavior
- Displays rapidly shifting and shallow expression of emotions
-Consistently uses physical appearance to draw attention to self
-Has a style of speech that is excessively impressionistic and lacking in detail
-Shows self-dramatization, theatricality, and exaggerated expression of emotion
-Is suggestible, i.e., easily influenced by others or circumstances
-Considers relationships to be more intimate than they actually are.

Borderline Personality Disorder:
A pervasive pattern of instability of interpersonal relationships, self-image, and affects, and marked impulsivity beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:
- frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment;
-a pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation;
- identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self;
-impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating);
- recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behavior;
- affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days);
- chronic feelings of emptiness;
- inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights);
- transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder:
A pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and a lack of empathy (must be 18) followed by five or more of the characteristics below:
- Feels grandiose and self-important (e.g., exaggerates accomplishments, talents, skills, contacts, and personality traits to the point of lying, demands to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements);
- Is obsessed with fantasies of unlimited success, fame, fearsome power or omnipotence, unequalled brilliance (the cerebral narcissist), bodily beauty or sexual performance (the somatic narcissist), or ideal, everlasting, all-conquering love or passion;
- Firmly convinced that he or she is unique and, being special, can only be understood by, should only be treated by, or associate with, other special or unique, or high-status people (or institutions);
- Requires excessive admiration, adulation, attention and affirmation – or, failing that, wishes to be feared and to be notorious (Narcissistic Supply);
- Feels entitled. Demands automatic and full compliance with his or her unreasonable expectations for special and favorable priority treatment;
- Is "interpersonally exploitative", i.e., uses others to achieve his or her own ends;
- Devoid of empathy. Is unable or unwilling to identify with, acknowledge, or acceptthefeelings, needs, preferences, priorities, and choices of others;
- Constantly envious of others and seeks to hurt or destroy the objects of his or her frustration. Suffers from persecutory (paranoid) delusions as he or she believes that they feel the same about him or her and are likely to act similarly;
- Behaves arrogantly and haughtily. Feels superior, omnipotent, omniscient, invincible, immune, "above the law", and omnipresent (magical thinking). Rages when frustrated, contradicted, or confronted by people he or she considers inferior to him or her and unworthy.

and how long before a bipolar~hypersexual pass is made at a prison guard and it is reported. My bet is in on this one!:eek:

I don't see how you can make or force someone like this to do anything they don't want to do themselves. I wonder if Casey will be at the bond reduction hearing on Wednesday and listening to a psych eval will do to her demeanor. IMO, she'll be one pissed off Chica.

Maybe the GPS sold the rights to the story.

This burns me, criminal minds blood thirst profits. Did someone say Casey's favorite movie was Natural Born Killers? She had a very depressing song going on. Seemed like she was already in the pit of hell.

I read on some link to a news page (posted somewhere in here, sorry!) That the mom or bro, can't remember now, said she got the atty's name from other inmates will in the holding cell... I have this funny feeling something is about to break in this case, lol and no it is not like Casey's gut feeling!

She can't and won't be forced. She wants to hold all the cards and watch everyone around her be little worker bees for her. That's my unprofessional opinion.. lol

O/T Just heard a new mouthful on FOX News in speaking about Molly Cyrus.
A ho in need of a pro fo. :crazy::bang:

What would you expect she would do if her family just all of a sudden quit visiting or taking her calls?

What would happen if they stopped the enabling cold turkey?
good question and experiment her family should partake in poste haste~! stop the enabling...and the truth~talking will ooze out because Casey needs someone to hear her.
