We have alot of people coming in from other boards for various reasons. What they need to realize is WS strives to be the best and what was ok there is not here.

I heard some disgruntled posters have left another site because they accused the mods of not allowing them freedom of speech. Looks like they may have come here with their garbage.
There are rules here too. Thank heavens! :)

I bet Cindy could do the book and get the money. She isn't a criminal. At least yet. Maybe thats the plan. She does a book when its over and the lawyer gets a good take of it. I can almost guarantee it. She can say Casey is paying the lawyer because it is Casey's story.

So does this mean Casey or her family couldn't benefit from this crime? I would think she couldn't but maybe her brother or parents could. Let me know, I'm interested in this. There should be a law that no one in the family can benefit from a crime a family member committed. In other words any proceeds would benefit the victim or a victim rights association.

Sorry LI- that is not legal. The terms of retention must be contracted up front. It has been my opinion and posted the day she hired him he is working for a flat percentage of the rights (all) associated with this case.
Additionally, the state may have to subsidize based on the budget and type of prosecution case that is presented, leveling the playing field..

I don't know, if Casey were to be convicted of murder then there aren't going to be any percentages to negotiate...this would be pretty speculative...working for a percentage of a non existant deal that may or may not be legal given laws against criminals profiting from their crimes.

I would guess they are paying him, he may have agreed to waive some of his fee and do it pro bono because he wants to be associated w/such a high profile case.

Deedlebugg...I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who is obsessing over this case...it's on my mind 24/7 - I DREAM about it. I think that the outcome is going to effect our "recovery" time in this one significantly.

I haven't gotten any sleep since I started follow this case. This little girl HAUNTS my dreams. I have NEVER felt like this before. I usually follow cases on tv and sometimes the internet and I am the first one to go out and buy the true crime novels BUT I just can't get this little girl out of my mind. Everytime her face is flashed before the tv screen I cry. Everytime I look at my own two year old I can't even fathom someone putting their child in harm or killing them. I just don't understand any of it. The 31 days, keeping everything hush hush, the family, LE, no one trying to find the body, none of the alleged sightings panning out. I have NUMEROUS dreams of this poor little girl and where she is and NONE of them have been good. I sit in front of the tv and see Casey SMILING,.. even if the "babysitter" took Caylee how does she know that Caylee is ok?????? She hasn't been in contact with her? Even if I knew someone took my child and I trusted this person. Being out of contact with them would make me CRAZY,...
Anyway, sorry for this long post,.. I am just so glad I am not the only one who can't sleep and thinks of this poor child 24/7

I am sorry if I offended anyone - I had heard about the prostitution Cindy before - but this meth and coke cindy is actually listed as cynthia marie anthony. I was trying to verify signatures as I have our cindy's from her mortgage but it seems orlando courts do not require def's sigs on their docs.

There is just a Cynthia Anthony that was popped for child neglect twice - once in 06 and once in 05 and another prostitution charge in 04

I noticed someone said that the prostitution one that was discussed before was a young black female - where did you find that info?

Also, in my search - I find it funny that the house the anthony's have is listed on the property appraisers books as ONLY in Cindy's name and does NOT include George - however - George is included in the mortgage

Also, as far as George - he has a $12K judgement against him in 7/07 from citibank - possibly from CC's that casey ran up and then they couldn't pay

Again, I apologize to anyone that I offended - its just when I found that meth and coke - my mind started reeling.

Please forgive as we all are just searching for some answers to this crazy, insane situation and are praying that Caylee is alive and well.

Some States have laws that won't allow you to make money off of a case like this. Not sure about Florida.

http://cyberlaw.info/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=78

Actually the law prevents the criminal from profiting.... I don't think that prevents a family member from selling his/her story.

I'll tell you... if Cindy or George try to profit from this case, the public should make it very clear that they are DISGUSTED by the Anthony's part in all this & refuse to buy the books/watch the movies. The public stopped OJ's book & they should do the same with the Anthony family.

Just a reminder... IMO If a fellow WBer is rude, offensive or someone whose opinion you do NOT respect you have the option of using the ignore button. I have used it 5 times today in the Caylee forum alone, LOL:rolleyes:

Makes for a more pleasant Websleuthing experience

Further to my post on the marketing value of him doing this Pro Bono. . . Blink is correct he couldn't say. . . we will discuss later.

He could however take the case pro-bono completely or until a certain predetermined time.

I.E. I will represent you pro-bono up until a certaint time or action (litigation, charges).

Either way. . . I think it's pro-bono all the way and no matter what you think of him as an attorney or an individual. It's postive exposure.

Personally, I think Caylee's father is a married man. Perhaps he's successful and makes good money, but I think that's who it is. And looking at this case, perhaps was giving a certain amount of money each month to Casey to remain anonymous. Just a theory.

george filed for divorce from cindy in 2005. it was later dropped in 2007. search via iclerk.

who would want to allow the family to profit from this tragedy? I would not buy the book.

I hope I'm not sounding rude here, but you guys are actually calling these people?

What if someone would have answered, were you going to ask questions or just hang up?

I'm trying to say this respectfully, but I'm not sure if we should be calling people. Unless we have tips.

Yes, I have to say that detectives in the Orlando Sheriffs Department can and do find everything we are finding and more. You can find anything and on anybody nowadays. Take the things we can find and add a security clearance to it, like they have, and believe me they can find it.

In most states you have to be licensed to do PI work. Things like that are libelous and we should leave it to the professionals. IMHO

If unfortunately Caylee is deceased, I don't think many would purchase a book from an enabler like Cindy Anthony. Maybe a writer like Lawrence Schiller would do one and I'm sure people would buy that. I think for the most part the public is turned off by Cindy Anthony. That's a good thing. No one is buying what she's saying anymore. She has no street cred left. Good point Kathyn.

SWAG- The prostitute Cindy Anthony has aliases listed on her criminal record- one of which is Cynthia Marie Anthony.

Has anyone thought that maybe she put Caylee down some place and watched her "sleep" via a webcam... as a substitute for a babysitter?... and check online to see how she was doing??.. you can get internet on cell phones. You would not realize she stopped breathing, it would look like she was still sleeping.

Could the club have a room with a camera??... gee, that is a sick thought to encourage moms to put their kids in a back room and watch them via a webcam while they party. Maybe its too ridiculous to be mention?? I think I remember the first one being called a Nanny Cam, it was to be used to keep an eye on your Nanny.

Also, I know the apartment ratings show its an apartment complex that not many people would rent from, but what is the vacancy rate in that area of Florida?? I find it odd that an apartment is vacant for so long. Has anyone found a vacancy rate for apartments in that area... real estate agents who sell commercial property in that area can find the vacancy rate... and I imagine it must be someplace online?? Of course, it goes by locations (areas of town). If you live there I would think you might be afraid to say anything negative about the place (while living there).

Yes, we found that also last week. It's interesting because it was four months after the birth of Caylee. Not sure if it's anything connected to the case though.
