Holy cow! Did you see that smirk on Cindy's face when she talked about how Casey is paying for the lawyer?

Frankly, I think the family is counting on using funds they collect from the public to help Casey and NOT to help find Caylee.

I've heard that people that are doing fundraising events for the search for Caylee are actually donating all proceeds to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations such as Kid Finders Network, to ensure that the money does not go for Casey's legal defense or bond.

I have a quick question. I have a monster headache and it hurts to read much I have only been able to skim a bit so if I am way off and confused I apologize!! I skimmed some posts about the hair in the trunk, am I understanding correctly that they do not know if it was from Casey or Caylee? Is that why the search for Caylees biological father has seemed to become more important on the boards today?

Again sorry of I am wayyyy of base here!!

Actually the law prevents the criminal from profiting.... I don't think that prevents a family member from selling his/her story.

I'll tell you... if Cindy or George try to profit from this case, the public should make it very clear that they are DISGUSTED by the Anthony's part in all this & refuse to buy the books/watch the movies. The public stopped OJ's book & they should do the same with the Anthony family.
No - not the public - it was the Goldman's that stopped the book and they had to go through the courts to do it - they got the rights and have since published (I think) - it is because of the judgment they have against him

Swag1959 at some point the Anthony's took out a 2nd mortgage on the home for 50,000 maybe that's when Georges name got added.

So does this mean Casey or her family couldn't benefit from this crime? I would think she couldn't but maybe her brother or parents could. Let me know, I'm interested in this. There should be a law that no one in the family can benefit from a crime a family member committed. In other words any proceeds would benefit the victim or a victim rights association.

There's a longer answer than I have for that, but briefly:
Until there is a guilty plea or verdict, technically anyone can "assign" potential rights, etc.. Presumptive innocense applies..

If guilty plea or verdict is entered, she may absolutely (general terms not a lic. atty in Fla) NOT profit personally. If the potential exists for people in her family to earn income from exclusive rights or other , unless they can tie it to Casey directly benefitting it they could, and thus "assign or option" them. I am pretty sure this is the case because the parents could not make bail, which tells me that they are "maxed" on those rights already.

One thing I am shocked about so far in this case is why the state has not appointed a guardian ad litem for Caylee in this case, I have not mentioned that before, but it makes me pretty sure there is evidence of death back in this case.

Are you implying that George could be the father? A while back I posed the question about George being a step father. This is why I posted that. I thought for some reason he was only the step father who adopted them. So an incestous case it would be. Cindy is so quick to point out that the father of Caylee is deceased. They seem agitated about those who ask the question of who Caylee's father really is. Could it be George? And furthermore isn't there conversation that they don't like their father?

Not according to what I found - George is on the mortgages but not listed on the property - I'll go back and get the link

Nope, it was to Amy and before Amy left? She did not confront Amy until 7/15 overall (except cash and she believed Casey) Can someone tell me which address in this case is located in Oviedo??
Wait - it was Casey to 'Troy' on facebook on June 24th. Amy sent a msg to Troy six minutes later saying that she was still staying with Ricardo.

Someone remind me again, who's Troy?

ETA: From the above link, this is Amy's comment about the missing cash. The money was going to be used for her vacation.

July 15 Amy Posted this on facebook to her friend

A person who I thought was my friend stole money one night while I was sleeping and made up a story about how I got up in my sleep and put money away for the trip I was going on (I got back today, it was a great trip!). I bought that, she's my friend, but after today I know it was her. I let her use my car while I was gone and my check book was in there. Account cleared out. Hopefully I'll be able to get that back... but yeah... overall... about a grand. Which isn't even the worst (for me it is...) apparently her kid has been missing for a month. She claims the nanny stole her and was too afraid to tell her mom. So, as bad as all this is, there is a little girl out there (hopefully) that I'm way worried about.

Also, in my search - I find it funny that the house the anthony's have is listed on the property appraisers books as ONLY in Cindy's name and does NOT include George - however - George is included in the mortgage

No need to apologize.... we all get over-excited sometimes. It's no big deal. And I hope you know I was only teasing when I said you sounded like Cindy..... just trying to lighten the mood a bit before things got out of hand at the board. :)

Do other properties list TWO names? If not, maybe they only list the first name (in alphabetical order) per property?

Just a reminder... IMO If a fellow WBer is rude, offensive or someone whose opinion you do NOT respect you have the option of using the ignore button. I have used it 5 times today in the Caylee forum alone, LOL:rolleyes:

Makes for a more pleasant Websleuthing experience

ITA....they had nothing of value to add at the other site. Bashed the victim continuously. I hope if they do that here they get the boot so I don't wear out the ignore button. Thanks for the advice:)

Just FYI - not sure if it works this way here but it does on other VB forums I am on - if you are not "active" for over 10 minutes, your "Green light" goes off. If you are writing a very long post or PM or just on another tab in Firefox for more than 10 minutes, this happens.

I think that MUST happen because I keep getting kicked off for having this site minimized while working.

Excellent post. Your last statement is the first time I am hearing about this. You're correct, the State should appoint a guardian for Caylee and her rights.

Exactly how do you use the ignore button? Is this for PM's only?

What benefit is it have a missing person assigned a guardian unless it would be to waive some kind of right of searching the home...which isn't necessary, or regarding some type of financial settlement or inherentance issue? There is no custody issue until the child is found alive. Seems superfluous to me.

No comment about the incest, but Lee and Casey joked about a book to give someone for Father's Day, it was called "Finding a Job for Dummys".
