oh yea - and remember Casey said something to the effect "only mom could understand this" ..........

What an interesting thought, adding that to the "close by" that sounded chilling at the time.

I'm hoping this isn't the case... my thoughts are that Cindy is a long-term and ongoing enabler (which perhaps also led to deepening problems with her husband & his "last straw" filing for divorce in the past) rather than being in on this.

I've always thought Cindy and George know more than what they are saying.

We'll see, I guess.

I honestly feel that George is in the dark about what has happened to Caylee and possibly Lee, but I honestly believe that Cindy has enabled Casey for so long that she was willing to do whatever she had to do to protect Casey even if it means lying to authorities. I certainly feel that she has obstructed justice just as Casey has done and she should be sitting right beside her in the county jail.

Absolut: Possibly all of the trash in the trunk smells like decomp and may have hair and other evidence in it as well. If pizza stayed in the trunk with decomp would it inherit some properties of it was well?

No, food in a car for 2 weeks to a month in that sort of heat dries up. Ever find pizza under a car seat weeks later, just to find it's hard as a rock?

Point of clarification- there is NO proof their was ever pizza in the car, per the affidavit and Det. Melich tstimony at bond hearing

About this car and the smell. IF the body was in the trunk and then REMOVED - even just before the "abandon" at the Amscot - well wouldn't that smell have dissipated (even just a little) without the source to fuel it? I've thought about this before - the car wasn't picked up until July 15 - and the smell was still there (and obviously strong as well). If Casey dumped the body before leaving the car - well that leaves over 2 weeks that the car was without the source - I know smells do linger - but without a source I know they do begin to dissipate as well. Anyone else?

Like I said before...you can't even get CIGARETTE smell to dissipate...so I can't imagine this smell. Have you ever smelled a dead animal? Even after it's been removed it STILL stinks and the dogs will roll on it for weeks after.

Casey and Cindy might have argued and been very at odds with each other, but I also think that Cindy would be the one Casey confided in.
If Caylee's death was an accident, I would think that the family would be more willing to help cover it up.

Longtime lurker, firsttime poster:

A few other thoughts I'd be mulling. There's a picture in Casey's photobucket of a Marine who's last name is Hawkins. The picture is obviously of him in a hotel room. Wondered whether her trip to Jacksonville might have been to Mayport for a visit to a returning Marine? He looked a lot like Caylee too, at least in the eyes. Hadn't seen anything on him either.

Thanks for bringing Hawkins up. I agree that picture really stood out to me. Also the picture next to it of the unknown lady.

That, and why GP left a 20 year career as a detective, moved to Florida, does NOT go into LE, and why you do not hear from a single relative in Ohio. Cindy openly admits to not calling them for over a week or more.

I have been asking myself WHY GP and GMA have spent so many years enabling Casey and covering up her addictions and obvious psychological problems. I mean, by all accounts her behavior is incredibly manic, large scale theft and deception for several years. I am NOT making allegations of any kind, but it was pointed out to me by a colleague that if she were to review the merits of this case from a psychological perspective overall,
her first recommendation and insight was to investigate any possibility of sexual abuse to Casey, and the possibility of that being the reason they left Ohio and no longer interact with family there..

She felt the parents protection and enabling behavior may be symbolic because they sympathize, possibly even blame themselves, for how she got this way. Covering up for her, even to this end, is their way of being here for her "now" vs. then..
Just thought I would throw this out there as if it is true, I would expect to start hearing it from the defense as soon as she is arrested. Don't want to start a discussion on it necessarily unless someone has any relevant facts or links specific to Casey or families background.. Treading lightly on the subject.
I know we need to tread lightly, but I have thought so too! Just on what we have seen of the behavior and learned of the family dynamic this would have to be our conclusion in doing an evaluation. If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck..you know.

I just mean all of the trash and decomposition was together in the trunk. Like a big trash pit back there. We know the smell of decomp goes into to carpet etc why not all the trash too along with other evidence.

Absolute- there is no evidence that the pizza was ever in the trunk. GP and GMA said that FOLLOWING the 911 call. It was not in the trunk with first response team, and when det asked them, they directed them to a pile of pizza with magots in their own garbage and stated they removed it..

Of note- GMA says the car smells like a dead body- why say that if you knew or assumed the source of the smell was rotting pizza- wouldn't the call sound different?

You are joking, right.
Of course covering up a death would be a felony, as far as i know

I know that, but do you think the government will charge all of them or let them plea out? My belief is they want Casey only. How many times in the past when they get the person who did the crime, they tend to drop charges against parents. Plus, we don't know what's going on in the background. Maybe the Grandparents or at least George is cooperating. We're only told certain things.

yup and we're knee deep in duck sh** people!

I am uploading the fox video on youtube. I will post a link when it's done.

My "gut' feeling is that GM & GP were asked to go to meet w/LE this morning because the labs were in. Then after overwhelming proof that poor Caylee is no longer with us...GM and GP have been forced to start to believe that Casey had something to do with the death of Caylee. IMO..then GM and GP"s only option is to finally work with LE. I think their "house of cards" is starting to collapse.

Blink, thanks for that clarification.

It appears that Cindy is trying to get on Casey's "good side" in order to try and obtain more information. It's apparant to me that Lee knows his sister is lying but is doing what he can to get information. George is obvisouly helping LE and is keeping quiet.

Casey dropped off the car on the 27th June Tow was on 30th June the car reeks of depomp on the 15th July. How long was a body in the car decomposing for it to reek.

Probably depends on how airtight the trunk is.

Now that thought has crossed my mind. I guess that could be another theory...George picked up the car, found the body and covered for casey. Maybe Casey really doesn't know where the body is because she left it in the trunk, with a plan to report a carjacking.

This has been my theory for a few days now.

May be there were decomp fluids in the dirt that was removed in the backyard. MOO.

I think it's all up in the air until we know more about what is REALLY going on. Lets say LE found something significant in the forensics. They may be using that information to smoke out the parents. They may even offer them immunity from prosecution for giving them the information they need. Of course we are just speculating here.

That's what I was thinking, Cindy was just blowing smoke.

I agree totally.
