No - but what if Casey witnessed or was party to a murder - gang fight - drive-by - or the people with her had a "shipment" of drugs and they all were ambushed - I don't know - whatever - then the bad guys some how managed to get a hold of Caylee and tell her - you keep your mouth shut and you get your kid back - you TALK and everyone dies.

Remember Casey is a par-tay girl. These clubs are (or can be) drug dens. It is dangerous out there. You can get caught up in something before you even know what is going down nowadays.

Then why are none of party gang or adults been injured or come up missing. Why take one goofy girl's toddler but leave all the adults alone and uninjured.

If that's what's going on, why isn't she FALLING APART with worry? We've all heard her on the phone...

"Hi! Just got out of the shower and thought I'd give you a call!"

i'm not sure what we are disagreeing on?

i totally 100% agree that they are so dysfunctional that they believe their lies. i think there are excuses for everything she has done. and i think she assumes she is outsmarting everyone. and more than anything, i agree this case is bizarre. ?

We're not disagreeing: just adding the overwhelming thought I have had as a "lurker" here --a condition which I have just remedied after 2 years of reading this forum --as my officemates and co-horts always use the "bizarre", "strange" and "weird" words when discussing this particular case :)

Seems like alot of ppl are talking about how she didnt have money, maybe she sold her for money?

yes, the sound of "i gave you 30 days!" haunts me...but I have close friends that say I am miscontruing (sp?tired) statement.

ugh

Cindy's talking about the month Casey had living on her own.... and all the times Casey told her Caylee couldn't come to the phone... she's w/ the nanny, she's napping, she's asleep....

Really, unless you KNOW your child is capable of killing or losing your grandchild, these excuses sound pretty reasonable & maybe controlling but NOT alarming.

Millions of mothers & daughters have conflicts & get into power struggles with each other.... almost never does it escalate like it did w/ Cindy & Casey.

I give Cindy a pass on this.

My problems begin when she works SO HARD to deny the obvious... such as: the pizza & the nonsense about being too afraid to tell the truth because it's dangerous.

ok i no i should no this but i dont so im gonna ask. how close did her parents live to her? same town?

Same house except for the month (31 days) she and Caylee were "wandering". IF Caylee wasn't missing on day one, which she seems to have been. :(

I keep hearing question, but I haven't seen a response by someone who has an LE or SW background. Maybe someone could start a thread detailing grandparent's rights and exactly WHAT if ANYTHING at all could have been done differently.
These days there seem to be a large number of grandparents caring for their grandchildren for whatever reasons. What rights do these grandparents have?
What can they do and how much legal wrangling does it take to get custody when your offspring are too irresponsible to care for their own offspring?

IIRC, on the day that Casey left with Caylee, Cindy didn't realize they were gone right away. It would have been on Monday July 16 and Cindy probably would have been at work when they left.

I agree. My daughter and I have had spats that have ended with neither of us talking to each other for a couple or a few weeks. The difference is that she would never, ever harm my grands, of that I'm certain....AND she always ends up contacting me, because she's the one with kids and needs me, LOL!!!

Maybe Casey sold her ??? Black Market adoption..... Who knows? Not hard to get a child out of the country from florida....I recently flew with my 3 yr old Grandson and was not asked for any ID for him on any flight....

I could understand that if they were astranged but her parents were her lifeline to means i.e. Money, clothes, insurance ect.....

OK - hubby's theory is that Zaniada does (or did) exist and was a mule and also was using a phony identity. She was watching Caylee and called Casey to tell her she needed to "make a run" - she wouldn't be gone long and would leave Caylee with a "mutual friend". Casey knew this mutual friend and said sure. Zanny tells her that when she gets back - 10 -12 hours that Casey could pick her up and Zanny would give her "a taste" or maybe even more of the "shipment" and then they could go pick up Caylee. Now, Casey either thinks - well I can make Zanny disappear and keep the "shipment" - remember she doesn't work and now has run up granny's CC and needs money - or maybe Zanny OD's while they are partying after she gets back or "others" know what Zanny is and they ambush Casey and Zanny before they get to Caylee and Zanny is killed in the ambush. The "others" take the shipment or Zanny has sold it or Casey decides to hide it - whatever. Casey goes back to GP's house - remember this in when they are on vaca and no one is home - there she realizes she can't bury a body in the backyard - or can't bury a body at all - she is a little person - so she puts the body in the trunk - steals the gas cans and goes and gets rid of Zanny. Now - she goes to pick up Caylee at the mutual friend. Unbeknownst to Casey - this "mutual friend" is the actual trafficker and is pissed that Zanny isn't with her and there is no "shipment" - tells Casey - no Zanny - no Caylee. Now Casey is reeling - this would explain why she is in the clubs - trying to find either 1) the others if it was an ambush, or 2) if Zanny sold it off - trying to find who is now selling it. Meanwhile - mutual friend is lurking and following Casey to hopefully find Zanny first and reoup the loss. Finally thing blow up and GP's get involved and bring in the LE - "mutual friend" doesn't care that LE is looking for Zanny - in fact its welcomed.

Now I know this sounds far fetched and I truly believe my hubby should be a writer - but it does fit with all the facts and evidence that we have. Plus it explains why there are no active searches for Caylee - and you will NEVER KNOW if DEA are involved in this - they don't talk

I'm just saying the forensics on this stain in the car is going to be the telling factor and this waiting game is hell.

1. Cadaver dogs hit in the car and in the backyard.

2. Caylee has been missing for over 6 weeks with not a peep from any so-called kidnappers.

1 + 2 = A very low probability that Cayley is still alive, unfortunately. Usually the odds the child is still alive drop dramatically even after a few days if they are not found. 6 weeks is an extremely long time.

I think the answer lies with a cold-blooded woman sitting in jail who refuses to talk.

It was my understanding that there was also a disagreement between Cindy and Casey when Casey left.(Don't ask me for the link its here in the Caylee forum somewhere.) Cindy may have thought Casey was still mad and using talking to Caylee as a manipulative move.

I would believe this before I would believe that some drug dealer is holding her so Casey keeps her mouth shut. I just seems that gangsters are not going to want to look after a small child. I know it is possible, even if it is a little out there. But this crowd Casey was hanging out with were all young adults and I can't see a young adult wanting to take on the responsibility of a small child even if it is to make Casey keep quiet.

However, as cold as Casey appears to be, I can see her selling the child (heaven forbid). In which case I suppose you wouldn't worry?

Its all kind of unbelieveable and just down right scary. Now that Casey is in the hands of LE, it would seem that if she was really afraid for her daughter, she would spill. I don't believe a mother that really cared about her child would remain quiet at this point. Casey has to recognize that if what she says is true, she needs help finding Caylee. How can she just sit there and say nothing but lies? I find that scary.

Something that has ALWAYS bothered me....

Casey moves out with Caylee.... she leaves a beautiful home & where was she supposed to be living w/ Caylee??

Surely, her parents or brother would have been alarmed if she knew Casey was staying with 2 guys she barely knew????

Didn't they at least set her up in a small but decent apt. so they would know Caylee was safe? Didn't they ever think to send Lee to check on her?

Oh my... the guilt her parents must feel has got to be killing them.

Sadly, I agree.
