Your post was terrific - and you're spot on IMO about the fine line the family is riding. The only difficulty I have with the position that the family colluded on a story is the time they would have to do so **on that day**, given what we know of that day's events from the 911 calls and the bond hearing testimony.

TY very much, McSev.
IMO, the family had plenty of time to refine their story before Casey was arrested.
:)

FWIW I do believe that George was read the riot act the other day and could possibly be facing obstruction charges before this is all over. I always thought it was strange that he cleaned out that car - he should have known better.

George may be on some kind of disability from LE. He could still earn a certain amount of money, but not a substancial amount. He would have been 'vested' after 10 years and could take his part out of his LE retirement fund. Just IMO and do not know whether he is disabled or not. He seems to be in good shape, but it does not take too much for LE disability. IMO
Good point and it is possible. I wonder how that would be affected since he went back to work a couple of weeks ago?

I agree this may very well be the case.

I read somewhere the other day that he is now (or has recently taken) a job in private security. Don't ask me where - but I did read that - I swear.

They have the freedom of the press that they hide behind. They always quote unnamed sources when it's sensationalism. There have been many cases where reporters went to jail for not revealing their sources as well as many lawsuits. Nancy Grace is a recent one.
Nancy Grace was arrested?

Known better yes..but at the time...the only "criminal" case was that of the missing gas and cans.

However, if those same cans turned up in that trunk and he removed them to place them back in the shed...he is guilty of tampering with evidence in that case. AND...if he did not tell LE those same gas cans returned...he is guilty of covering a crime because he would know Casey had taken them. THEN...if that doesn't do it...if he knowingly did not reveal the gas cans were in the car when the car was returned AFTER knowing his grandchild was missing and LE had examined the car...he is in deep doo.

Is it just me or do we all have the late night sillies?

Law girl- we do. If someone gets pizzed, do we have a "Depends" thread? If not- we need one

I found it - it says that in the People mag article

"George, 56 a former police officer who now owrks in private security."

Funny, we haven't heard anything like that.

You're welcome :)

Hey, I swing from thinking they didn't and they did. I am going to say this is in the nicest possible way, so don't flame me: I have a hard time wrapping my twisted little mind around them having the capacity for forethought to do so. Know what I'm sayin'?

It's in the players thread for this case, I just saw it.

BTW...ignore last post, I found the list of players.

Yes he is - just due to the "smell". Funny AFTER the robbery report was release he comes up with the lame "I found out who did it. The cans were returned to me (well duh via the car) and that's it.

Greetings everyone. Can't stay for very long tonight - I have been here a while trying to catch up! Whew! You guys and gals are 'smoking! It has probably been discussed already, but I didn't see it; and if I missed, it, I am sure others have also. Those gas cans. Any ideas as to why the cans were stolen??? Since the gas cans were taken as evidence by the CSI team last week, the fingerprints that are on them will be very interesting. This case may just take on a whole new life after the evidence starts to come in next week.
