Anything Casey gives Jose is a confidential communication protected by attorney client privilege. The police cannot get it so long as Jose does not allow anyone else to see it (outside of his employees or other attorneys representing Casey). He would only have an obligation to notify the police if the letter contained a threat to carry out a crime in the future, not if it contained a confession of one comitted in the past. Confessions to an attorney are privileged. If the letter contains incriminating evidence, Jose would be breaching his duty to his client to reveal it to anyone else. If he gave it to Casey's parents, the police could obtain it. However, if Casey directs him to give the letter to her parents, and it contains incriminating evidence, he would have a conflict between his duty to protect his client, and to carry out her instructions. I'm not sure what he would do in that situation.

Knowing this now, makes me further believe the letter either contains a confession of guilt, or instructions on where the child can be found..
If this turns out to be the case and Casey asks that her family see the letter, will the family be indicted if they did not share the information, if it actually leads to a body?
As far as the attorney goes, I personally in his shoes would have to request she receive a new lawyer.

Don't forget the job descriptions on myspace for personal assistants that work for free.

That's right, and it's soooo wrong. Bet you know why, too :)

The family needed a PR -savvy spokesperson early on, and they instead have made their own comments to the media.

Way to much like the McCanns, if you are telling the truth, you don't need a pro to spin for you.

Getting back to George A, I'm wondering why he left Ohio and why he didn't continue an LE. It would be very hard to start over after 10 years and in a new state, did he have a stress or medical early retirement? Cindy as well would have had to qualify for her RN in FL as well. We know that George is working for a security firm but this is new, what did he do all those years in FL before this "new" job?

In reference to Caylee being missing from the 16th thru the 20th 1) Cindy said she heard Caylee on the 16th in the bedroom 2) Casey was at Fusian Friday the 20th all of her friends have said that they did not see her after that, only excuses. In between is when something happened probably at the house, why would the the dogs hit on the back yard?

I am all for the family having a spokeperson if the results seem dire or a family member is involved. The spokesperson can keep the media on track.

Yeah I understand this! But, I still don't think this is in the right direction, I am sure if I were to talk, anyone can make "subliminal" messages out of my words too. Just seem to be bogus here.

I'll have to make a few statements about my life and upload them to that place that "translates" them into the backwards subliminal messages, so I can find out what I *really* think about my life. I'll let you know if it works.

Didn't he admit just today that he didn't actually hear Caylee in the background but only heard Casey speaking to someone?

All we know at this moment is what the media is reporting what LE is suppose to be saying to them.

I do recall, way back after this story first hit the air, there was a TV station who spoke to Jesse outside his car. I have been trying to find that video for days and can't find it.

What I recall, Jesse said he called Casey on the 24th to tell Casey he had just resigned from his job with Orlando PD. He said he heard Casey tell Caylee to get off the table. I personally feel he presumed it was Caylee that Casey was saying get off the table.

Now we all know the media and how they spin things ..... so let's not spin Jesse's words based on Jesse hearing Casey say "get off the table".

Now in the narrative report of the affidavit taken on July 16 by LE, Jesse called LE before they could call him. I am typing right from the affidavit.

Jesse told LE on June 25th, Jesse received a phone call from Casey who was trying to cheer him up over a recent job loss. Casey told him she was free this weekend if he wanted to get together as Caylee was with the nanny and they had gone to the beach for the weekend.

So it appears Jesse called Casey on June 24th to tell him about resigning, overheard Casey say "get off the table" and assumed it was Caylee Casey was talking to.

Then there was a second phone call on June 25th from Casey to Jesse based on what I just wrote above.

There was either one or two phone calls, but the important thing is "Casey did not have Caylee at that time.

If you all remember, Cindy said when Casey's grandmother was talking to Casey one day, she also claims she heard Caylee.

What comes out of Cindy and Casey's mouth is questionable, what the media reports is questionable, what I hear directly "from the horses mouth" I take to the bank! :)

I noticed it also. It did sound odd.
As my husband would say
"she is so sarcastic"

This is just the way Nancy Grace words things, not evidence, but she is not afraid to speak her opinion on how she feels.

he was probably forced to resign because he wasn't much of a detective, givin the fact he didn't notice the smell of decomp so many others were overwhelmed by.:)

If the DJ is to be believed Casey was at their apt without Caylee each of those nights. June 16th,17th,18th on. Caylee and Casey were not at Cindy's any night after June 15th.

But whose track...and that is where I see the problem.

I couldn't agree with you more....I was raised in a hot mess, have gotten a lot of therapy, surronded myself with great people and became a better person from the experience instead of a mess, my brother IS A MESS, I hate people blaming their adult life mistakes on their parents we all have free will, her choices belong to her not her family

Me too ... I turned out to be a productive law abiding citizen, but my siblings are a different story ... I think it isn't necessarily how you are raised but rather as an adult, choosing to be personally responsible for your actions instead of going through life justifying your screwups and blaming your parents!

I'm no expert on criminal law, but I believe if the family had information on where Caley was and what happened to her, and did not turn that over to the police, they would be guilty of obstruction. You can't withhold relevant information from a police investigation. Possibly even accessory after the fact, but I'm not sure about that.
