I couldn't agree with you more....I was raised in a hot mess, have gotten a lot of therapy, surronded myself with great people and became a better person from the experience instead of a mess, my brother IS A MESS, I hate people blaming their adult life mistakes on their parents we all have free will, her choices belong to her not her family

Not to beleaguer the point...but family dynamics do shape what we become. I'm not blaming her parents...I am saying that they bear responsibility for the children they produce, even though we can all come up with anecdotal stories of kids who came up just fine from messed up families, and children who were messed up who came from "perfect" families.

My opinion is that Cindy seems to have played a role in the woman that Casey turned out to be. Whether through being a control freak or enabling her, the dynamics there no doubt shaped Casey.

wa- You and I are still struggling with this but good find!!
How do you go from sheriff deputy to homicide detective. Can somone please address this question to George already???

Thanks. That's why I wondered if anyone subscribed to Google Newspaper Archives, goes back over 100 years, but you have to pay. I was trying to see why the law career ended and why they left Warren, which btw it has been stated they lived in Niles, Howland and or Warren OH.

Snipped

Way to much like the McCanns, if you are telling the truth, you don't need a pro to spin for you.

True, but it doesn't have to be a pro - just has to be someone who can play the chess "information game" who isn't emotionally involved as the Anthonys obviously are. IMO, if they had one, folks might not have the "if they were involved in a cover-up or if they weren't" perception quite so strongly, and would make it clear that the Anthonys are focused on finding Caylee no matter what Casey does. or doesn't do.

But didn't this same family raise LEE and use the same parenting skills? Just a thought.........

Yes, I do not feel that anyone here is villafying the parents for how they raised Casey per se. I for one believe that a substance abuse problem that spiraled out of control is the "bigger picture" that was the conduit for all this tragedy.
However, in the face of this, you CHOOSE how to react, THEY have chosen how to react, and it is, unfortunately, grossly interfering with finding this baby and I have no patience for that. At the end of the day, my fave "ism" stands, "IT IS WHAT IT IS".. Doing the right thing now would garner my support for them and I am guessing others.

he was probably forced to resign because he wasn't much of a detective, givin the fact he didn't notice the smell of decomp so many others were overwhelmed by.:)

...or... due to his work as LE he was so used to the smell that he didn't smell it anymore...

P.S. THIS IS A SARCASTIC POST !!!!

I wonder if Cindy was one of those that have to keep the appearance of all is well. Listen to everything she says. I think she was on Casey about getting a job and taking care of Caylee. Wouldn't surprise me if Cindy threatened to take Caylee way from her. Casey got mad and went to "bond".

I think George is a pansey and let's Cindy run the show.

i agree with every word of your post....

LOL. I just caught that. I assume Lennon's death?
HUGE Beatle fan here - they are talking about the Abbey Road album when they were walking across the street and only Paul was barefoot - it was all a huge publicity stunt.

Sorry completely O/T - but the Walrus was George

I'm no expert on criminal law, but I believe if the family had information on where Caley was and what happened to her, and did not turn that over to the police, they would be guilty of obstruction. You can't withhold relevant information from a police investigation. Possibly even accessory after the fact, but I'm not sure about that.

This is true. And why Casey giving Jose Baez this letter creates quite the legal and ethical quandry for him as well as the family.

Exactly my sentiments.

Why did GM say she hadn't seen June 7th on the 911 call?

Patti G I as well remember the Jesse interview and can not find it.

Gosh, I look at the photos of the Anthony's house and I see a home where their child and grandchild were welcomed and taken care of, and this is what makes this whole thing seem even more bizarre.
One other thing I wonder about; I know Cindy said that all of Casey's baby delivery bills were paid by Kodak's insurance but what about after she lost her job? Who paid Caylee's doctor bills for well child care? Didn't the grands wonder about it?

I was rewatching Nancy Grace, and they had Casey's friend on. She just said that "while your child that you have loved for almost all of her life is in the trunk of your car"

What does that mean? Anybody else catch this?

Oh yeah, I heard that... very weird. I have no idea why she would say that and she didn't try to go back and correct it either. I would have been back tracking fast -- or maybe she thought she'd just keep talking and hopefully nobody would hear that "almost" in there.

Or... maybe it was a Freudian slip? :waitasec:

She has the memory retention of a gnat or it could just be she was overwrought with thoughts, timelines and decisions over the last 31 days.

It's out there, just probably mixed within some other parts of the case that the media was reporting on. I have lots of video but way too tired to look for it to post here.

Cindy said in the bond hearing that she paid the medical bills.

The family needed a PR -savvy spokesperson early on, and they instead have made their own comments to the media. Bad move on their part - and to my way of thinking it explains, for those of you who don't like the posts being made about the family, why there's such a vicious reaction by a significant portion of the people following this case to anything they say these days.

I am rather surprised that they have continued to represent themselves personally to the public in lieu of their association with KidFinder and Never Lose Hope. Both of those organizations should be experienced enough to have explained the necessity to maintain a communications message and strategy to energize the volunteer participation in the search for Caylee in light of their daughter's situation. What we have now is George on tv this weekend practically begging for volunteers and casting the positive spin both on the search and on Casey -- and getting basted in the process for the public's perception of the family's inconsistent statements.

ITA with you!

I wonder if anyone did approach them early on about getting a PR person & they didn't want to??

It really hurts me to see the Anthony family floundering so badly. I doubt there are many families on earth who could get through such an enormous & strange tragedy playing out in public & NOT come off looking badly.

But the damage is done..... the public has NO SYMPATHY for Casey & no patience for hearing excuses about why she can't help find Caylee.
