Interesting. Is Casey smart enough or cunning enough to think of this?

She had a favorite site "amazing holes in the earth" and she sure doesn't seem like the studious type or the type to be interested in geography.

Hi everyone, I'm new to posting but like many have been following this thread for a couple of weeks now. This case has grabbed my heart and I'm glad to see so many others come together that feel the same. Please go easy on me!! :)

<respectfully snipped>
- In the prior thread the possibility that Zenaida/Zanaida has ties to other states including North Carolina was mentioned. I have lived in North Carolina in the Charlotte area my whole life (37 years) and know the area very well. On July 25th I sent an email to Lee Anthony at his gmail account from my gmail account which is listed in my real name (not a nickname) and told him that I had lost a loved one to a violent crime and am always willing to do anything I can to keep anyone else from going through the same thing. I told him I was very willing to search anywhere in the area that it is suspected Caylee or Zenaida may be. I also offered to print out copies of the flyer and distribute them around if the family thought it would help. I explained that acting alone I couldn't cover all of the area (as the Charlotte area is HUGE) but if they could give me an area or point me to other volunteers in the area I would work with them to get the information out here. I also gave my full name and cell phone number. I then copied the email and posted it on the helpfindcaylee.com website to be sure the info got to the right place. I have yet to hear from anyone regarding my offer, which leads me to believe they are not seriously considering the fact that Caylee may have been taken outside of the FL area, or at least not to North Carolina, so I take exception to the fact that they continue to bring up ties to North Carolina. I am very willing to help, but my offer fell upon deaf ears. I have close friends in LE here and have provided information 3 years ago regarding the location of a murderer who was on the run here in NC that led to his immediate capture. I take being a victim's advocate very seriously and can't understand why they wouldn't want help searching an area they continue to mention when they have a sincere and legitimate offer to help.
Welcome, my neighbor!! :seeya: This part is very important, imo. They've suggested it's possible Caylee could be in our area, yet from what you posted, seem to ignore what could be valuable help in finding her. It even furthers my opinion that there is no proof this Zenaida or whoever supposedly has Caylee even exists. I applaud you for trying!

Some one on Greta tonite said that even if law enforcement offers limited immunity, they must be thinking that there is an acomplice!
I think so too! I have a couple of ideas about who it may be. No proof just speculation so for now I best shut my piehole about it.

Or so she could try to make the whole weird situation look believeable on paper.

You are going to further lengths in her defense than I am willing to go against her...

We could play this "maybe" "or" game all night. :)

I'm on this site to read about new ways of looking at facts or discover new ones, sorry...

In this family, it could also be the other way around. Cindy may have discovered that Casey had abused the child and was threatening to do something about it, causing Casey to run away, Caylee in hand.

The abuse angle is an interesting one, but not one about which we've seen a lot written (other than the detective on the stand with the 'bruise' photo/hairdresser comment).

I have said Cindy is the spitting image of my mother...not physically but in every other way. At least from what I have seen. And I beleive that the 911 call could have been an act. I have seen my mother pull hysterics like that and 30 seconds later, laugh and catch her breath. But if she is like my mother behind closed doors as well, then Casey was definitely abused. And my reactions in time of stress are amazingly like Caseys reactions now. I don't know what my reaction would be if my child were missing, thankfully I have never lived that nightmare.

Thank you ladybass for the update page--I refer to your posts when I get confused on timelines and people. Now that we have 50 threads and probably will end up with more--hopefully not 100!!!!:blowkiss:

I believe that the whole family knows that Caylee is not with this babysitter.

This is the second or third person we have heard of that offered to help or had a tip and was "blown off' By now we have to ask ourselves. WHY. In my mind it's obvious.

Casey is a grown woman and she is too old to be blaming her mother for her problems. That is so lame to me.

I see the opposite - a family that is letting the child-woman Casey call the shots for everyone and creating chaos. I see a drama queen who has to be the center of attention and has delusions of grandeur, which is why she lies about having a "nanny" and a good job. She's spoiled and an egomaniac. Perhaps that is partly her parents fault, but she's a grown woman now and needs to take some responsibility.

I have no patience with her, personally.

Stated perfectly! I completely agree! I believe that is a perfect assessment of who Casey is. I'd add sociopath to your description!

If I dug a hole in my yard, the sandy soil is wet about 12 inches down.

The cold water faucet in Florida is never COLD!

Yeah, you can't dig far down in Florida without hitting water. Lots of people don't realize when they go to Magic Kingdom in Disney World, that the "street level" is actually the 2nd story of the park... "under" it are tunnels that are actually built at ground level, because they couldn't construct the tunnels under the ground due to the water table.

THANK YOU LILY:

Did you sign up and read further? She has two friends on the site. One has zilch in his profile, the other s handle is "Captain Commando". One of his profile favorites is "Three ways to abandon your family"....but I do find the 7 greatest wholes in our earth a little odd. Especially when it doesn't fit in with any of the other things she favorited. It also says that her last log in was 3 weeks ago.
Captain Commando has 2 friends on stumbleupon - Casey and JP Chatt (Ricardo's roommate, the TV news editor). Both Casey and JP joined stumbleupon on the same day - Feb. 24, 2008.

More random trivia....

I hear the tears in Caseys voice, her voice breaks several times, you just have to listen. You also have to remember that regardless of what happened to Caylee, Casey had her time to cry.
Also, point to consider, Cindy is controlling and with control comes the need for power and with that need sometimes comes abuse. Abused children learn not to cry, that shows the abuser that they are winning. That can be a hard habit to break.

IMO, I IMMEDIATELY thought when I heard her voice 'cracking' on the 911 tape, it was ONLY because her mom had been hammering her for answers and was obviously not buying her story at that point. She was crying because she was scared and upset that her mom didn't believe her. Definitely crying for herself and the few tears we've seen since are for the same exact reason and that's it!

But remember that runs both ways, because everyone has had a good response from LE in Fl, I have not. The only ones that have given me a good response was Lee and the FBI.
I'm starting to think that FL just doesn't like me.

Hey, I never said why she was crying, I just said that you could hear it.

Don't forget she may have had 31 days of practice. What IF Cindy thought that Casey was going to turn her in and decided to beat her to the punch. I know it sounds really bizarre but there are some people that play sick psychological games. In my mind emotional abusers are sometimes worse then physical abusers.
I am just speculating NMK. I don't know what to believe anymore but this is the strangest case I have ever seen!

I want to make a few comments/thoughts here, and I'll write a second post for something I wanted to go into a little more detail about.

- I'm glad I'm not the only one bothered by the pink handcuffs!! Even if the color serves some purpose for law enforcement for telling "unisex" looking people apart it seems they still could have used less "fashionable" colors - like puke green and dog poo brown!

Okay...that post ended up being way longer than I expected (blushing). I just get wound up about this case. I'll stop this post now because as long as this was this still wasn't the other topic I wanted to do a second post on. Please bear with me!
Thank you so much for your post...and welcome. Your offer to help was so incredibly selfless. Bless you.

From the moment she comes on the phone with 911, you can hear it.

I heard fear of being defeated. Not a teary voice.
Casey cried in court. IMO, for herself and the plight "others created for her".

An alarm went off in my head when I heard that Casey had gotten the tattoo supposedly in honor of Caylee during the time she has been missing. My reason is very personal, so it does bias my opinion about it somewhat, but let me explain my experience.

I lost my beloved Mother 6 years ago to a very violent suicide and later found out that she had been harassed in a very bizarre manner that would take a forum of its own to explain. To summarize with as few words possible, she was mentally ill, the person harassing her knew this and exploited it to make her believe this insane second world had been going on behind her back for 20 years. I didn't find this out until after the fact. I am an only child and my Mother raised me alone, so we were very close and I felt EXTREMELY guilty for not knowing something this serious had been going on in her life. I spent years in therapy to come to grips with it all (as best as I can), but during my extreme guilt phase I decided to get a tattoo to honor her. In my mind it was both a tribute and my own personal "scarlet letter A". I chose a rising Phoenix so that every time I looked at myself I would remember her and cherish her memory, but also so that I would always remember the (in my mind at the time) unforgivable mistake I made by not knowing this was going on. I have healed enough that I have overcome the grief for the most part, but I am explaining my mindset at the time.

So it made me think of Casey's decision to get a tattoo representing Caylee during the time since she went "missing". I can't help but wonder if in her warped mind she was either making a show of her "love" for Caylee or actually went through a phase of feeling guilt in between her partying and wanted to mark herself with her own "scarlet letter A". I know it may sound crazy, but the mind can rationalize strange behavior during traumatic times. The only problem I have with my theory is that Casey doesn't seem capable of feeling guilt or experiencing trauma. But I couldn't help but be reminded of my own experience and just wanted to throw it out there for others to form opinions about. Then again, if gang affiliations come into play, the tattoo could also just be something she did in relation to that and have nothing directly to do with Caylee at all. I guess I'm grabbing at anything that makes a little sense after weeks of reading a bunch of BS that makes NO sense whatsoever!! As I asked in my first post, please go easy on me!

I don't think so. I do think that they know a lot more than what we are finding out. It could be that forensics has shown them that Caylee is dead. We don't know what showed up. I am sure they do by now.
