I caught something tonight that I didn't (or haven't) in all the times I've read it. I don't remember it being discussed yet I think it might be relevant as to the state of Casey's mind. On page 5 of the arresting affidavit - defendant's mother (Cindy) mentioned that Jesse Grund was the one who took the defendant (Casey) to a local hospital early this year for a seizure. I'm sorry if this has been discussed. It is was could someone please update me as to what the general consenus was? What type of seizure? Was she given meds? What do we know about the surrounding circumstances?

The picture of Caylee with her great-grandpa, tonight when I saw it, it struck me that they both look "sad". The picture makes me sad.
:(
It's funny you should mention this because I haven't heard another person do it. The reason I said that is because my hubby, who never comments on these cases too much said when he saw the picture of the ggpa and Caylee. WHO IS THAT??? I told him and he said "There is something sad looking about that picture. Something isn't right"

Just letting you know there was a seperate thread for that. Not trying to be rude, but most of the people here believe that something sinister happened and are trying to figure out what exactly. doesn't help to be constantly dereailed by comments that totally infer that things are as stated by Casey. If everything were easily explained away by some excuse, then I am willing to bet this conversation wouldn't be happening and there would be alot more support going toward Casey.

And I am not just defending her and I am not saying that EVERYTHING happened the way she said it did. I think it would be more distracting to have us sniping at each other. So from now on, if you don't agree, just skip me. I do not feel that I am derailing anyone. :)

Thank you to DianeB, RR0004, wedavis, curiositycat, and not_my_kids - as well as everyone in this forum for your warm welcome and willingness to listen to my "off the wall" thoughts/experiences. I plan to now become an active poster on the topics at hand; not just things that relate specifically to my experiences. Though I will throw them out there when or if they apply! :)

Honestly, I don't know, I am not a cult expert. I was just throwing it out there. At least it hasn't been hashed to death.

LOL right.

I don't mind seeing an opposing viewpoint - it makes me exercise my brain to come up with ways to poke holes in it.

I brouht up that the seizure combined with the other signs she is showing could signify a brain tumor or something similar. But I can't find anything more about it. If anyone else does, please post.

Very early on in this case someone mentioned the dark, sad look in Caylees eyes. I can't remember who it was. But they mentioned studying freeze frames of videos and focusing on the children's eyes. If I ever find that post again I'll bring it forward.

Okay, another far out speculative theory. What if Jesse did take Caylee. It's obvious he loved the little girl and at one time thought she was his. He seemed to be heartbroken when they broke up. What if he stalked Casey and didn't like the new friends she had. Maybe he did take her because he was worried about her???

Do we know when this seizure happened - earlier in the year doesn't really tell much.

Here's a wild theory:

What if her ex really does have Caylee or something to do with her being missing?

Jesse would have LE connections and therefore would know if she was cooperating with them, hence the wild goose chase/lies?
But he's called her a habitual liar, and he's no longer with the PD. I personally don't believe he's involved at all, but I do think he might be part of why Casey didn't want to talk to local LE and wanted the FBI instead. In other words, he knows what she's really like and so might his former coworkers. MOO, of course :)

It's possible. But then why wouldn't Casey say something? Unless she plans to join him once this whole thing "blows over". Not saying that it will, but that's how she would have to see it.

That I don't know, but isn't odd how that statement is so vague?

I fall in line with your opinion...

It could be, but don't you think he would have said something by now? Or LE would have figured it out? Why would they still hold her?

If he does have her and she is ok that would be wonderful but I don't think so.

Sounds interesting. When she looks at the camera while speaking in that video and shaking her little hand, my heart breaks. For a happy sweet little girl, her eyes were dark at that moment.
