I don't understand all the interest in who Caylee's father is, as it is not germain to the case.

Well, I think the paternal family really has a right to know, especially if their son is the father and this is all they have left of him. It's selfish of the maternal side to keep this to themselves, even selfish to Caylee for her to never have gotten a chance to know who her father was..

And mostly because it was speculated when the case first broke, that if there was a father in the picture somewhere that he may have had something to do with her disappearance.

My interest came from a theory I read last week about the possibility of Caylee being with her biological father or his parents. At this point I agree that it isn't relevant and just muddies the waters even more, so I'm not going to give it any more thought.

Maybe whats going on now is the family isn't going to visit Casey in jail to "protect" Caylee, thinking Casey will break if she knows she won't be having her family visit. Because as GM says if she has to choose between Casey and Caylee, it's Caylee.

Casey only alternative is to break down and tell them there is no Caylee to protect.

The only family members I'm aware of are Cindy, George, Lee and Cindy's elderly father? from the father's day pics.

I haven't seen any family support on the media at all. I haven't seen any of Cindy's co-workers interviewed. I gather she stated that she is an Ortho. nurse in a Private physician's office (not a hospital)...I would think they would be a tight group...(from my personal work experience~that's how we are in surgery)

If ZG is unknown to Casey's family, it is possible that she is a relative of the father or that Casey knows the entire family of the father outside of her own family's knowledge. ZG or the person holding Caylee could be part of the paternal family. FWIW that is a far more likely scenario than a non familiar abduction.

I think that the reason is that they, understandably, want to rule out any members of his family having kidnapped her. I don't understand why the media is having so much trouble stating with certainty that Jesus Ortiz is the father... when folks on this thread have known it for a long time.

Why do you think that, SusieClue? I have been doing a decent job of keeping up with the threads, and I see speculation that he might be, but no evidence to back up the speculation.

We have to be careful not to confuse theories with evidence, in my humble opinion.

SusieClue I don't think that has even been considered yet, and for sure, the family isn't thinking they wouldn't get custody. This would only probably come to light, if and when any charges would be levied against the family for their involvement with any obstruction
issues or if there is anything to prove that the family knew where Caylee was and wouldn't say.

Reading between the lines of posters, trying to make sense of this family's non-sense, coupled with Casey's party pics, combining all with life experiences, I'd welcome comments on this scenario - if a young girl had been physically and mentally abused by her father for most of her life, perhaps had stuffed those feelings way, way down, then got pregnant, got scared, lied (probably had been lying her entire life anyway), but when the daughter became close to the age where the young mother's own abuse began, memories came back. I think whether intentionally committed or not, signs point to the mother for the daughter's death. But, her immaturity in conjouring up a believable story faltered. She and her father know. The father picks up the car, finds his gd, finds the gas cans, does the hiding/cleaning - the daughter would know he knows, he will keep the secret because she has kept their secret - to me, it explains her behaviour. The gm may know part, not all now; the bro may know part, not all - the unraveling we are observing may have begun with LE's pressure.

I have not been able to find a link to it but the reporter from wftv approached the home of the mother of the JO that died yesterday. She informed her that she was the Gma of Caylee. The lady was quite surprised.

I don't think she shoud do this unless she has run some DNA. IT is a long way from fact that he is the father.

Have any of you wondered if maybe... just maybe that Casey partied so much that she acutally forgot just who she let have Caylee? Maybe a party or something and she allowed someone to take her so she could continue on?

I just wonder why she wouldn't begin to give out more info if she purposly hurt her. Eventually a liar begins to talk/speculate to much giving themselves away. So it causes me to wonder if she is racking her brain trying to figure who really has her.

No offense, but how could they? ... if they aren't sure who the father is. Why believe Casey and family's word on this when they have been so unreliable thus far. JMO

It is germain for a few reasons:
1) The state has a requirement to notify the Dad in the event the Mom is incarcerated on such charges, and provide a guardian ad litem if he is not available. They are "burdened" with this attempt.
2) Could need his DNA to compare it to for any physical evidence to determine Caylee's ID.
3) To weed out the crap story she started this with- thus why it had to be discounted so she does not blame (cockamamie kidnap) on other family.
4)Corroberate witness testimony that MAY be relative to the case.

the short list.. I agree that this fam did not deserve this, but let's keep the blame where it lies. I was pointing out the need for a guardian ad litem, which is very related to this discussion, parentage establishment is part of that. Hope that clears it up

New Pizza Test !

Just reported on Local 6 Orlando. The grandpa gave an example of how to get the "death smell" from the pizza. SO NOW, the local reporters have started a new pizza test ! This time they are using 4 pizzas.

Each pizza is placed in it's own bag. (flys are allowed to land on the pizza to create the maggots). Then a bottle of liquid Arm N Hammer cleaner (still in the bottle) is placed in one of the bags. The bag is then closed and placed in a car trunk for 15 days.

The 2nd bag with the 2nd pizza is placed in it's own bag, and the Arm N Hammer liquid detergent is "poured" into the bag. The remainder of the liquid detergent bottle is thrown into the bag for good measure. This one too has caught flys in it. Then the bag is tied and put in the same trunk as the first.

The 3rd bag w/the 3rd pizza is then placed in a bag (complete with flys), along with a box of Arm N Hammer. Then the bag is closed and put in the trunk.

The 4th bag w/the 4th pizza then has the powdered Arm N Hammer sprinkled on it, then the remainder of the box is thrown in for good measure, then the bag is closed and thrown in the truck with all the rest of them.

Now all 4 bags will be kept in the trunk for 15 days without opening the trunk until day 16.

According to grandpa, when they open the trunk, it should smell like death the pizza should be covered with maggots.

The above was reported on the local Orlando 5:30pm news on Channel 6. The reporters have decided to try it with the 4 pizzas, since GP wasn't specific on what type of cleaner was in the trunk (powder vs. liquid) or whether the Arm N Hammer was "in" or "out" of the container.

I agree, pretty much, with this. They take up for her because of some "secret" that she has that could hurt them if it gets out.
