I agree. While she may have been a recreational drug user, there's no evidence that she was addicted or even a regular user. However, if she were undergoing treatment for withdrawal in jail it's not likely that such information would be released to the public.

not that i necessarily buy into the fact that she is a habitual drug user, she does say that she hasnt slept in 4 days during the first released phone conversation. and some of her friends definitely look high in the pictures from the club. that being said, i still dont think she had any severe drug problem.

I'm not convinced that Casey is a big drug user because when she was put in jail, she didn't seem to be crashing from not being able to have drugs there. Don't you think that if she was a user that there would have been signs of it during the first couple weeks at least?

I agree..

If the GPs simply picked one location every day, at least they'd be doing SOMETHING & I'm sure they would have no trouble getting concerned volunteers to join them.

To simply lash out that nobody ELSE is doing what you can be doing when it's YOUR grandchild who is missing is pretty rude & not very smart.

Truly, I think they are terrified that they might FIND Caylee's body (not that I can blame them for that for one second) & are frantic for someone else to find her so they can move on to the next stages.

But how? Could the grandparents call a search/voluntary organization and tell them look here even though we are randomly choosing an area just so we are looking? I don't think that happens and it might be unfair to other missing children that the search organization can assist with their recovery and they have good leads from where to start.

I know this sounds harsh when a 3 year old is missing, but I think you can't call people to start searching randomly. I agree that the grandparents could have been out there giving flyers, doing more footwork, instead of getting into this whole drama with the press and pizzas and smells and experiments and stuff, but still....I don't think there was much they could really do other than beg Casey for VALID information for the whereabouts of the child.

I'm not interested in the sense that I feel it makes them complicit. I am interested in when they would say they next spoke to Casey and what the conversation was about.

I also suspect that they may have been purposefully ignoring her calls and--unless it was a common occurence that they ignored her (which it may very well have been based upon your reasoning)--am wondering if it would hint at (then) recent turmoil between Casey and her parents which may speak to motive on Casey's part--in the sense that maybe there was a huge blow up which triggered something homicidal.

This is not my rock solid theory. Just something I'm wondering about.

I think it's obvious that there was turmoil, but with Casey that was probably the norm. She's been reported to be quite the drama queen. My guess is that there was no big conversation regarding the missed calls. Lot's of people miss calls every day. It probably didn't seem unusual at the time.

WRONG!!!!!! The search warrant states that the detectives are still looking into it.

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!!!!!!! Here is the link so you can read this yourself.

http://www.ocso.com/LinkClick.aspx?link=MediaRelations/08.07.08_SEARCHWARRANT.pdf&tabid=547&mid=1935

The reference to this is on the bottom of page 6.
People, let's keep our facts straight from speculation! And call people out when they are wrong so any misinformatin is not spread!!!!!!!!!

Okay. The detective felt it important enough to put in the warrant and also moves on to say that he is still checking out the other emails to see if they exist since the Universal one was an obvious fake. He is inferring that the other people may not exist due to the fact that the Universal address was a fake domain attached to a fake person. That was my comprehension of what he wrote.

How did he leave for work at 3pm on that Tuesday July 16th when Cindy claims that they brought the car home at 3-4 pm?

I'm not sure about that one. I'm pretty sure that when he said he last saw Casey and Caylee he was positive that it was very close to 12:50pm b/c he was watching a cooking show that he watches every day before he goes to work.

And I noticed the posts about him being unemployed. I think (can't be 100% sure) that Cindy mentioned something about this being a fairly new job for George.

I dont believe he leaves at three. He leaves at around 2 i believe. It was Caseys calls that started at 2:30 to 3

Lets see

4. The other thing I find very interesting and unexplored is this:

Did anyone ever hear Casey call Z anything other than "Zanny" Cindy referred to her only as "Zanny in the 911 call when she was talking to George.

Reason being is that I think "Zenaida" was born only on June 17th after whatever info Casey gleaned from Sawgrass. I believe "Zanny" became "Zenaida" strictly after that. If we could find that out it would be very very telling.
snipped...

Shannon... I totally think this is the case. I think she had to find someone to match her little nickname once she started to work on her cover!

Well, if he left mid afternoon on the last day he allegedly saw Casey and Caylee on June 16th then it would be probable that he would need to leave at the same time on July 16th. But according to Cindy that is what time they brought the car home and she began the first wash cycle because the clothes smelled nasty and there was no sign of Casey or Caylee anyway so it didn't matter that she washed the clothing that she found in the car that smelled of decomp.

me too! Lilac: do you know how to put someone on ignore? I cannot figure it out for the life of me because I have never had to do it.

Can you direct me on how?

thanks...

Oh...I got dragged in again....huge question you raised.

With what I've seen, depending on what drugs are in the individuals' system, the withdrawal or effects of not having the substance can create a wide range of effects. From agitation, personality changes, aggression, to mild depression, to physical cravings and sensations that are painful, to psychosis, severe debilitating exhaustion, etc, etc....if she only used occasionally in the clubs and that use escalated in recent weeks/days, etc...and it was cocaine, withdrawals wouldn't be something that we would see in the general public. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was also my understanding that no one saw her for a week. That's ample time to become normalized to a large extent, including heroin, which is not suspect in my opinion, and methamphetamine. I would more suspect X or coke. Okay...just my opinion...:-)

That's interesting. I didn't know that it took only a week for the withdrawal to be over. I always thought that withdrawal symptoms lasted much longer.

And George was home at 2:45 pm on June 24th, according to his own words that he saw Casey at that time.

  • #333
Great job, GT! Thanks.

Does he say "C" or was there a name? Who the heck is C????

Her friend Christine. Who had been there and had been trying to talk to her ans Casey was just as snippy with her.

baez could be on a retainer. meaning, only if casey is found not guilty would he be paid anything. but at the same time, i find that even hard to believe. he is a sole practitioner, so i doubt he is rolling in cash flow or cases, otherwise he would hire associate lawyers to help him. he also hasn't done much investigating on his own. he hasn't provided any experts or submitted any affidavits from any paid sources. he may have hired a PI, but nothing substantial has been found thus far. he may also be paid by a third party - that is totally legal. our less fortunate clients have friends and relatives pay for their cases all of the time.

but when i think of the duke lacrosse case and how much the defense attorneys put out up front for their own investigation (granted, they were financed by the players' millionaire parents), there is no comparison...

Attorneys will sometimes take high profile cases on for the exposure. Not sure the exposure is helping him in this case, but it may help his practice in the future. And then some of them are just attention 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and like to be in front of the camera for their ego instead of business reasons.

Shannon and others - you need to watch what you post as truth and fact. In this search warrant, it doesn't even say that the e-mail was fake. It says it is invalid and doesn't exist. Big difference! It has been speculated on these boards that this e-mail was sent from someone legitamate and when Casey ended up in jail, they terminated the account. (This is one theory of the e-mail)

There is way too much misinformation on these boards!

really good call on all of this, especially the coke or X suggestion. not that im proud to admit this, but some of my friends dabbled in recreational drugs during college - i wouldnt say that they were "addicted" to coke. but they did use it on weekends and at clubs, there would be a day or two crash, and then they would be fine. so this is viable....

My point is that you lead by example.... there must be many organizations that can contact IF you want to & they'll help you through this whole terrible process.... organizing searches & how to best deal with the media & LE.

Is there ANY case where the family of a missing child complained that they wanted to search but nobody in their community would help them???

Talking to Casey is a major waste of their time. If she hasn't wanted to end their suffering YET.... I doubt she ever will.

In my opinion *jose baez needs to be checked out regarding this child,

in my opinion* she cannot afford him and there COULD BE a connection to local money through (linked in) in my opinion

He's probably pro bono, as are many defense attorneys in high-publicity cases.

Maybe he went into work late that day b/c that was an unusual situation that they needed to take care of asap?

i agree with what you are saying...to a certain degree. if casey needs help, then by all means, she should get it. if she is too sick to actually have the capacity to know right from wrong, then she deserves professional care. i cannot, however, be as sad for casey as caylee. casey is a grown woman, she makes her own decisions, she has free will and choice. her parents, while a tad crazy, are not evil (from what we know, at least). she has lied to everyone for years. she has no discipline. i really don't think casey is, by definition, insane. i think she is selfish and takes no responsibility for her actions. this time, though, she may not be able to help it when the state imposes responsibility directly upon her...

I believe Casey has mental problems, but certainly is not insane, as the psychotherapist said, she is a bully and a manipulater, her poor family has had to put up with her for a number of years, and now this.
