Does anyone remember Casey giving a story as to WHY and WHEN she took that gas? Has this ever been discussed? I don't remember this at all.
All we know is what George just said a few days ago, dad too bad or I heard about shed. Now if she did say too bad that would have been an interesting comment. Casey is not talking, who knows what was exchanged over the trunk or gas. We only know thus far that George apparently did not contact LE and say hey I discovered who took the cans, did he say something earlier about a neighbor having them, no biggie. seen this some where on the blog but know of no immediate link.

yes, AC...Casey told Jesse that Caylee was at the beach with the Nanny. Cindy says this is the case as well. Cindy thinks "the beach is part of the truth in the lies"

Thanks, Passin through and Elle Mae....I guess this could also be a lie, in order to cover for Caylee being missing, couldn't it?

Hi all! I've been glued to this site for a while now, and just waiting for a chance to jump in. Don't have much to add (yet), but one thing that's been bugging me is this whole issue about what Casey and Caylee were wearing on the last day that Casey's father saw Caylee. My husband wouldn't remember what I was wearing this morning, so I find it odd that Casey's father claims to remember what they had on more than a month later.

Thanks everyone for such fascinating distraction.

Welcome, Mouser, from another newb. :)

I still think that Casey killed Caylee. I believe that, sometime between when LE arrived and Casey was arrested, Casey told her parents the truth, and they've done nothing but obsfucate and cover up ever since.

I am with you...isn't it funny how the grandparents are now recalling such specifics? My father wouldn't remember what I wore yesterday, much less two months ago!

Maybe because FBI is peeking

Yes, I remember about the neighbor....but now that seems to be a falsehood since the parents discussed the fact that Casey, indeed, had those cans in the trunk.

The problem I have with George's story of the 24th is,he said he wanted to rotate the tires on Cindy's car. (what) If he had said he needed a tool to do a tune-up that would make more sense but most people take a car for tire rotation to the (shop) because the tires need to be balanced as well.

not sure about that recall either, Mouser.

Although I have a teen son and I could tell you he wore a black shirt and jeans and I would get it right 98% of the time. Whatever is printed on the shirt...hmmmm crap-shoot and sometimes it's a dark blue shirt :p

The hubby, he favors dark blue tees and his fave shorts around the house and has a uniform for work.

But that was a pretty good description for a man to give on a woman's dressing, imo. Hmmm mebbe that's not PC...lol

As horrible as this sounds....wonder if Casey went to get that gas and didn't know what to do with Caylee. I can't even tell you what is on my mind!!!

When he said this to her, wasn't it when she was just visiting the house and he was on the way to work? Odd.

I'm starting to think of Casey's trunk as a great black hole, in which all weird items in the universe somehow appear. Let's see...we have an archaic pizza, a dead squirrel, a tire wedge, and gas cans. Wonder if my missing socks and lost keys are in there?

Lol...same with my son. "Um, officer, he had on a Beastie Boys tee-shirt and camo shorts." I'd be right at least 75% of the time. :D

The situation with George and the car doesn't bother me. I think it was mentioned that Casey had stole gas before. Maybe he suspected those cans would be in that trunk, therefore pushed the issue to get into it.

The only thing the black hole doesn't like is pizza with maggots.

Than why file a police report.

At one point I thought maybe the outing with Jesse was the turning point, then Jesse retracts statement about 24th and daddy brings up seeing Casey on the same date with his stolen property. Then we had ZG the invisible nanny's date of looking at an apt corrected to the 17th of Jun from the 17th of April and then GP George blows out of no where and claims he physically saw Caylee with Casey still in their home on the 16th from last seeing Caylee on Jun 6th.

Maybe he didn't think she would BREAK IN.....and this was an after thought, but good question!

  • #259
I think they filed a report because they were PO'd at Casey and were ready to start coming down on her. They were ready to get her for the CC and everything. I think they were ready to make her grow up and be more responsible and if she couldn't handle that...I think they were going to try and take Caylee. jmo

Its important because a child was and is missing. Did he bother to check and see how much gas was in the car prior to her leaving? Everything is important in this case until it can be ruled out. What did she use the gas for?
