I don't think there is a presser. I don't know what was going on with Fox News earlier today but I think it there was a press conference one of those major local channels would have something on their site. There is nothing new. They don't even have any live cameras showing on the sites today. Around here at 4pm local news starts reporting. Whats with their local news?

They found hair consistent with Caylee's in length and color. They found a stain with luminol which they are testing as blood/bodily fluids and to compare with Caylee's DNA. Dirt was also found and is being tested/compared to the dirt in the backyard and on the shovel Casey borrowed from the neighbor. The K-9s (two different dogs from two separate handlers) hit on the inside of the trunk near the right panel close to the taillight and also in the same area in the backyard of the grandparents' home.

whoa:eek:.....i have missed a lot!

so a cadaver dog actually hit on a place in the backyard...hmmm...Suzi posted a link earlier where LE aren't going back to the home:confused:

...if the dogs hit on something in the Pontiac, i have no doubt now that Caylee is dead:(

Detectives spoke with the woman who says she saw Caylee at the Orlando Airport in early July. She told police she saw the little girl with a woman in her 30's or 40's who boarded a flight to Atlanta.

Investigators said they only knew about the tip after Casey's attorney, Jose Baez, spoke about it on FOX News. Casey's mother, Cindy, says she cannot always check all the messages they receive right away.

This worries investigators, who say that in missing child cases, seconds count.

I know what I heard, I also heard the follow-up when they finally did come back in and tell the standard canned story we've been hearing all day.

I wouldn't make something up like that, so until the rest of that story comes out, I'll just keep quiet.

Maybe the presser will shed some light on this whole thing.

liltigress, I keep Fox on all day! I was out of the room for a few minutes several times, but I do know they said there would be a press conference by LE.

This is not directed at you, liltigress, but I would just like to say that we cannot have it both ways. The cadaver dogs hit on the trunk of Casey's car and in a spot in the backyard. I believe in the dogs. There has been a body in the trunk of the car and in the yard, IMO. Whether that body was Caylee's or not is something I do not know. I think it probably was Caylee and that maybe her death was an accident, then Casey finally told GMA, and then they covered it up.

The truth lies with Casey. In my opinion only, I think that Casey told her parents what happened. I want everyone involved in this whole sordid mess to be brought to justice.

I have been the victim of theft. My debit card number was used to order from Chanel, New York, and also from another online shopping site. I filled out papers with my bank, got the money put back into my account, and MY BANK went after the person who had done this. It only took 7 days for my money to be reinstated to my account. I think that AMY having stated that she got her money reinstated to her account, then the bank can and will press aharges against Casey. This could be the other charges that LE has that are not as yet disclosed.

Anyway, I wanted to tell you, liltigress, that I appreciate your posts and your hard work. I pay attention to your posts!

Hopefully we will hear about the Presser soon! I haven't been able to post in a couple of days - had outpatient knee surgery! I have read every post, tho!

There are definite problems with the ego involved with OPD. We saw it in the Jennifer Kesse case repeatedly. They were offered help from TES and various sources which they declined. The case remains unsolved after 2 and a half years. There were many problems in the case which OPD did not address initially and now the evidence is gone.

There was not sufficient information for FL to enact the Amber Alert. It did not meet the criteria they have set up.

The FBI is involved in tracking down the out of state sightings and leads plus there to give support as far as use of their labs, etc.

I agree regarding the OPD; however, I am sure this can be found among many LE offices around the country, which is unfortunate for those who are in need of assistance.

What gets me is this...there is a child missing. How can a missing child not be enough sufficient information to issue an Amber Alert? Shouldn't the fact that a child is indeed missing be enough? Perhaps Amber Alert criterias need to be changed.

Caylee! Always on my mind!

I miss Caylee......she is such an angel! What a cute video with the book!

Since the day Erika has been pregnant I often think about the times we will visit O-Town over the years and get to walk down the street to visit a place so familiar to me! A walk I have made thousands of times. A lifetime of memories to be shared with the next generation. I only wish there was something I could do from so far away to ensure this dream come true my next visit. I can only hope and pray all of this passes quickly and Casey comes to her senses! So we all can return back to our lives with some peace, knowing our next visit will be a joyous occasion as it should be!

I miss the whole fam! So, next time I see ya George, Cindy, Lee, Casey, and Caylee hugs r on me!

The Fizz

and not on the 17th?

ETA: I think his (?) post on the 17th is based on what he does know about Casey...what did she do now? Doesn't know where her kid is? Maybe that's just the same 'ole, same 'ole for Casey. It doesn't sound to me like he's worried someone kidnapped Caylee IMO.

YIKES!!!!

I have wondered why the Orange County Sheriff's Department has been handling this case versus the Orlando Police department or the Florida State Police???

Why no Amber Alert??? Where is the FBI???

that's the question i have asked...if there's no AMBER ALERT, then there's a good reason for it, IMO

I am curious if they had that meeting at the jail. The authorities, Casey, and the Lawyer. If so I would have loved to been a fly on the wall. If not I bet Nancy Grace will be good later.

Hi all - Hailiejade found this earlier, from discussion thread #8, post 393 (I added the bolding...), and I think it is worth noting again... hope you don't mind, Hailiejade! :)

I think this is important because it could confirm that the GMA did not have anything to do with Caylee's dissapearance. (Of course, she could now know what happened and be covering up...) But from this it sounds like Caylee had been missing and Casey was afraid to tell her mom. More afraid of her mother being angry/dissapointed than for her daughter's safety - screwed up young lady, for sure.

I also thinks this sounds a bit like Amy did not completely believe Casey's "nanny" story...

This is a very important clue to the sequence of events. Amy evidently knew before grandma knew.

I do feel that Casey and only Casey is responsible for what happened to Caylee. Cindy is the ring leader of the cover-up team.

This came out at the bond hearing for Casey. The Detective said they felt that this would turn into a homicide investigation.

Two dogs hit on the same exact area in both the car and the yard. (I believe it was the SE corner, IIRC)

George told the police that night that he thought his daughter was lying, but said he only talked to her for a couple minutes. Mom spent a few hours with her and is still defending her. I feel that if you were in the court room or were watching you would have to know what the out come is going to be.

Bricks or tile used to make a patio

Hubby says pavers are usually set in a sand base rather than cement. In the pictures of the backyard search by LE, I noted a long rectangular patio in the backyard of pavers, and some looked uneven, which would be the result of a poor do-it-yourself project.

ok, i'm thinking about all of this......

IF the dirt matches to the backyard or the shovel, then it would seeeem like Caylee's body might have been moved:confused:
...like FROM the backyard to somewhere else??

Did anyone else see George putting some things in the back of a vehicle this morning as a reporter was standing by? What did George say?

There are guidelines which are given out across the board to states with the Amber Alert System. These are not exact "rules" they must go by merely suggestions. Some states have adopted them as the only criteria. Some states are using them as they were meant to be used...on a case by case basis. Others require there to be a) a vehicle description b) a first hand sighting of an abduction c) a suspect description etc.

Casey only provided a name they could not verify, a place they knew no one lived since Feb., and very little else to meet any of those guidelines. So no...it doesn't surprise me at all there was no AA issued in this case. No information to go on!

What really bothers me is we heard the exact same thing in the McCann case but after much hoopla it turned out to all be a farce and none of the hair or items tested was what it seemed. There was no body in the car. Since that time I DO NOT trust LE unless they already have the DNA back with positive results.

Amy might not have known before GM. GM stated that she and Caylee made myspace pages while they waited for the police to show up after they called. That was around 10, she testified. They contacted all Casey's friends to "get the word out." So maybe she found out about that through the myspace page and then because she is still pissed about the money she made that comment on Facebook
