hmmm, i can't get audio with these two links on the page...

I can't get the links to work either. Grrrr

Maybe you'll have luck here:

http://www.wftv.com/news/16981004/detail.html

On the second call Cynthia says, "I found out my granddaughter has been taken, she has been missing. My daughter finally admitted that she's been missing. ... My daughter finally admitted that the babysitter stole her. I need to find her."

"There's something wrong," Cynthia continues to tell the dispatcher in the second call. "I found my daughter's car today and it smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car."

"This work was done in conjunction with the RCMP Civilian Search Dog Association[2]. It indicated that an accuracy rate of near 100% can be achieved through careful and directed training..."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_dogs

The point being "can be achieved through careful and directed training" can be does not mean IS done. It is NOT 100% because of training and parter ship. Meaning even with good training the dog still has to be partedned with the right human. If no body is found you can not just say well a body was there because there is no proof that it was.

They said they were going to appeal the bond decision was all I heard on Fox.

I think it's cause they know they are gonna slap her with the check stuff and they will be out of cash, and frankly, they may be in need of attorney $$ themselves??

I will not be baited in to an argument - if you can direct us to anything to support your claim, we'd all be very interested in reading.

LJ, I would be interested in that information too. Like I said in my prior post, I'm not experienced w/this type of dog work...but here is something I quickly found: http://tinyurl.com/2ucf3b Like anything, there might be better and worse dogs/handlers...but a properly trained team are not "often wrong". Also, here is a neat video: http://www.k9forensic.org/

ETA: From the first link:

Results

The results of this study indicate that the well-trained cadaver dog is an outstanding tool for crime scene investigation displaying excellent sensitivity (75–100), specificity (91–100), and having a positive predictive value (90–100), negative predictive value (90–100) as well as accuracy (92–100).

Then why does she say she called them before?!

i think she called first from the car, when the police station was closed....she was told to go home & call back & someone would send a deputy to their home....that's how i understand it....

the 2nd 911 call is MUCH different from the calm Cindy 1st 911 call.....

im not trying to bait you into anything, you said i was wrong about something that is very easily proven to be true. i would think the burden lies with you, i know im correct.

lets review;

someone claimed that there was CONFIRMED human decomposition in the car. there is not.

someone claimed that the dog teams CONFIRMED that there was human decomposition im multiple places. they did not.

FACT: cadaver dogs are often wrong, many things affect their success rate, and there are often false positives.

Geesh.....let it go....or take it private!!:furious:

SS,
The file is an MP3 file. Maybe you can download it and listen to you.

Then why does she say she called them before?!

From what I gathered she had called originally maybe from a cell phone in the car on the way to the station that was closed. The 1st 911 call from home is the one released. And then the 2nd call from home.

furthermore, there were TWO separate dogs that hit on the SAME spots.

The tapes really did shed new light on Cindy, even tho Caylee being missing was an afterthought in the first call. It almost sounds as if Cindy had a plan and when it didn't work out she had no recourse but to make that second call. Casey was sniffling on the call, so there was a big blow up with everyone crying, but then Casey went into lying mode. She was way too calm. Wouldn't you just love to know the other resources she went thru to find Caylee. I bet it involved looking under bar stools at Fusion and maybe even checking out all the local tatoo parlors.

Grrrrrr

If you are having trouble -- I have saved them as mp3 files, so I can email them to you, just PM me.

I think there was actual three 911 calls,.. one in front of the closed police station. She couldn't give them a correct county I guess. Then she called when she got home the first 911 call and then the more hysterically one later after Casey admitted Caylee was missing.

SS, can you right-click to save the mp3 links in Aimee's post, and then play them from your own player?

I agree Cindy sounds way too emotional to have had any prior knowledge about Caylee being missing. When she and grandpa picked up the car, they may have thought the 'death smell' was actually Casey, so they searched the car and found Amy's number. Their relief at learning Casey was still alive was short-lived.

Ok wow! I agree with most of the posters. After listening to the 911 tapes, I don't think Cindy initially had anything to do with it. Not to say she doesn't know what happened now...

Gutwrenching...

this is why I think she says she tried 2 hours ago. I agree with you here. :blowkiss:

:bang:Hi - I am new here so please forgive me if this is old news...We get the released 911 calls in which GM reveals it smells like a dead body...Did I not see her ealier on Fox proclaiming that with her nursing background and husband's LE background - they KNEW what decomp smelled like and that it was only pizza...(?)

Perhaps every member of that family needs to take a deep breath and come out with what they DO know...

Just my opinion - you all have done a great job on this board - glad to me a new member!

Peace -

Maybe she thought that Caylee is with a babysitter/Caylee is missing was another lie. I am sure she said - how could you not tell me the car is abandoned, and Casey said - I've been too busy looking for Caylee and her babysitter.

Then Cindy realized that Caylee truly was gone, and flipped out.

I think we know why LE released this tape now. The main point being that Cindy admits the car smells like decomp...which is in direct contradiction to what she has been saying publicly. It also shows both of their demeanors which tells us alot.

I'm still wrestling with whether I think Cindy really knows the details about what happened to Caylee or not. I don't see how she can really believe she is alive after admitting to the odor in the car. But IMO she is headed for a breakdown.
