You rock! This could go on the facts thread if we ever have one. LOL. I think anything reported by the media is not FACT. JMO.

How does one follow the case without the press exactly?

  • #342
We don't have any facts though except that Caylee is missing and Casey is in jail.

I think you might be surprised if all the facts are listed.

  • #343
Also in reference to the pictures of Casey clubbing it. She met Tony on May 24th and that's when she starting going to Fusion. Tony is in the pictures with her. She was arrested in July so I believe the photos are factual.

It's at this link: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,395764,00.html

We know that dead pizza doesn't smell like decomp.

Yes and Casey was telling LE and Cindy that Caylee was missing since the 9th. Now we are starting to hear early July.
I haven't heard early July. Where did you hear that? Was George lying about the 16th? I say bring all of them in for obstruction of justice. Said that since the case broke, but no one listens to me. LOL.

See, I think we're seeing a bunch of posers launching a targeted campaign on this site. WS has been out front with incredibly timely and accurate information and intelligent discussion. Posers would try to cast everything and every theory into doubt and attack regulars to discredit the bloggers and posters. We already know that media, LE, lawyers and interested bloggers come here to read and perhaps post. The tone of these recent posts indicates something to me. Just a feeling.

What makes
you think
so? Could
it be the way
they come
across? Or
is it something
else?!
LOL

:bang:

It is very
obvious to
me, too!

We have many facts, although not under oath. We are also waiting on further evidence. When people say there is no proof or there are no facts, it is because they have set the standard of what they will consider so high that it is essentially unassailable and cannot be challenged -- like looking for perfect consensus on each fact. Our jurisprudence system does not require that standard. The standard for criminal conviction is beyond a reasonable doubt -- not beyond all doubt. A doubt that results in an acquittal must be a REASONABLE doubt. In short, when reasonable persons weigh the admissible evidence with the same solemn care they would give matters of serious business, and find that they have doubts that are reasonable to those circumstances, then they have reasonable doubt. Not every pie in the sky theory of defense is a reasonable doubt. If the defense theory is so outlandish that reasonable people know it wouldn't have happened that way, then the doubt defense is trying to raise is not reasonable. Compare this to civil matters where the standard is usually much lower like probable cause -- this is whether a reasonable person is 51% sure that it happened this way. Beyond a reasonable doubt, however, is not so high that it requires a consensus that people are 100% sure. There is no percentage for beyond a reasonable doubt, but it is significantly greater than 51% and less than 100% sure.

Here is some news from WFTV. Sorry, people, I do not how to do a link.

"Channel 9 has learned that Tampa-based Al Estes Bail Bonds is involved in efforts to release Casey from the Orange County jail. Their slogan is "We'll put your feet back on the street."

Casey's freedom from jail rests with a mysterious bail bondsman from California who does not want to show his face.

Sacramento bail bondsman Tony Padilla, whose bounty hunter uncle Leonard has been handling public and media relations related to Casey, told Channel 9 on Tuesday that completing a transfer bond from California to Florida is turning out more complicated than first expected.

Tampa bondsman Al Estes registered with the Orange County jail, last Friday, to handle bonds of up to $500,000. The paperwork documents a deal between Estes and the Padillas' Houston, Texas-based insurance company. There could be a snag involving Estes' insurance company.

"They need to make sure that the agent here in Florida was not {going to] be held responsible if something happened to the bond," explained Orlando bail bondsman John Vonachen.

Channel 9 also learned that the Padillas are trying to get a judge to add a global positioning system (GPS) ankle monitor to the terms of Casey's bond. This is to protect them even more against financial risk. As it is now, Casey would already have to wear an electronic proximity monitor if she is released.

Local bondsman John Vonachen is disgusted with the way the Padillas are handling the case. "They've taken the focus off of where it should be, and that's on Caylee. They've made a circus out of this," said John.

The Anthony family's emotions are running very high. During Monday night's edition of Nancy Grace, on CNN, Casey was called a punk. After the program, Casey's mother, Cindy Anthony, confronted the crew off camera.

We're also hearing that Al Estes could be backing out of the bond deal but we have not been able to confirm that through his company, and he has not returned our calls."

Who's reporting early July ??

So it kind of looks like Padilla is asking for more restrictions ie: GPS

I would LOVE to see them. Not what is being reported by media. Heck, you can't even believe the police affidavits because they get their dates wrong also. June 6, vs. June 16th. JMO.

What's the difference between that and the ankle tracking device?

So if the information discussed on this board do end up being admitted as evidence, there is a significant amount of "proof" that has been discussed here and reasonable minds can come to any number of conclusions. (End of speech.)

While you are certainly entitled to your opinion on the media, those of us who've held positions in that industry would find it insulting.

True, there are many times when "facts" get muddied, especially when so much deception and confusion is being added to the mix by persons close to the case who should know better.

I don't envy anyone in the media whose job it is day in and day out to make heads or tails out of the "facts" of this case.

However, I can speak from some experience with cases such as this and say, the media has better connections than you think.

To Suzie Q:

If and I say the word IF...there are kidnappers or a ZG, and they are reading WS , it's possible that they are just lurking and wouldn't sign up for an account unless they were trying to throw us a spin. How much does LE check this website for possible clues?
Okay i'll go back to banging my head now :banghead:

See, it could go alot of ways. LE does read here. The amount is different from case to case. We've had things like George put his wedding ring back on after it was discussed here. We've heard defense attorney's in many cases make statements and change course based on WS'ers are saying. We've seen our quotes stated verbatim in the media.

I also want to mention, that in high profile cases, if you google the victim or suspects name. The WS thread for that case will usually pop up in the top five listings. So it's not hard to realize how people related to a case find themselves here.

Ewwwww! Do we have some posers? Not one thread with accurate information? Sounds like someone directly from the Anthony camp. If the theories discussed aren't exactly based on facts given by them we are not allowed to discuss them.

That is not what I said, I said I couldn't find the threads if there were any. People are taking what is posted as fact whether it is just a theory or fantasy. The fact is, no one knows what has happened or what the facts are other than LE and Casey. WE have not heard those facts.

Just like Xanax is Zanny the babysitter!

I am not expert but the ankle bracelet keeps her from leaving a specific area. I am guessing that a GPS would track her if she did run. Just guessing.

I apologize. My frustration level is showing. Maybe I need to step away from the computer.

JMO.
