Caylee Anthony Drowned In Family Pool Theory

I am wondering if Casey was actually planning on killing her parents. This would explain the searches on the computer and her telling TL that she was getting her parent’s house.

I've scrolled through some of this thread, not all, so I apologize if this has been stated. Buy WHY OH WHY, if this was an accidental drowning, no matter how you dealt with it rightly or wrongly ~3 years ago, sit in jail for 3 years, and possibly subject yourself to the death penalty? That is what makes the least sense to me of all. At some point, after several months in jail, if the accidental drowning was really true, why not throw yourself on the mercy of the court or the prosecution, plea, whatever? Why NOW are you going through a trial to get either LWOP or the DP, if the accident is TRUE?? I cannot understand this, no matter if you were abused or not, acting out of reality at the time or not...... MOO, etc.

Those words had to come from Casey.

I never claimed it was the truth. Jose can not fabricate stories like that, he would be disbarred. Jose is working with what Casey told him on those two subjects

I agree Linda, if not for the sheer craziness of the stories. We know CAsey can really make up a whopper of a lie. :liar:

Not sure where exactly to post this thought, but today in court there was a lot of people saying how KC acted happy, giving off no clues that anything had happened to Caylee. Supposing what the DT said happened is true, wouldn't KC have any kind of moment where she was thinking about it, or was seen looking a bit sad...just something??? According to the witnesses, NO. So even if one gives KC the benefit of the doubt, it just doesn't seem plausible that any human being would never be caught lost in thought JUST ONCE!!

The prosecution is claiming Caylee died as a result of a drowning & the duct tape was an afterthought.

Beatrice, can you direct me to the link where it shows the prosecution is claiming Caylee died as a result of a drowning and the duct tape was an afterthought? From what I remember, that's not what JA presented to the judge when the State brought the charges of first degree murder against her.

I could possibly believe in the pool accident it it wasn't for the fact that George is added to a cover-up story. I believe since Cindy stated that the pool ladder was down to law enforcement this could give the jury a bit of reasonable doubt as far as a not guilty verdict. If Casey was the only one there, she would be the only one that knew and no body could testify if it was true or not. George, I don't believe would lie about the pool accident. He was in law enforcement himself and he knew more than Casey that you would have to call the police right away. Most people would normally do this, but since JB has stated that Casey doesn't react normally possibly due to sexual abuse, maybe she would not have. I don't believe she was sexually abused, but its possible and I believe its more possible than George hiding the accident. If JB didn't add George's knowledge of this, I could see this pool accident giving the jury maybe an ounce of reasonable doubt.

The weather conditions in Orlando on June 16, 2008 is under question by a caller on NG. Would Caylee want to go swim by herself if it was cold or raining?

Answer was 81 degrees with .18" rain that day. So, the weather was nice that day, I guess.

Even when there are only skeletal remains, diatoms can be detected in the bone marrow of drowned victims.

IIRC, CA had Caylee in the pool in the evening shortly before Caylee's death. GA testified someone would always be in the pool with Caylee. I believe Caylee, even at 2 y/o, wouldn't have gone there without "JoJo" or "CeCe".

This is exactly how I feel. I think it would have been a very credible story to claim the accidental drowning, and that Casey is "not right" due to abuse that had been covered up most of her life, and that because of that she reacted in an extremely abnormal way (going into denial, as JB said). However, once you add in George helping to cover up and yelling at Casey directly after finding Caylee dead...well it just does NOT fit with anything we know of how George acts and reacts. It does not fit. (So don't acquit?)

Just looked it up (http://www.svazi.com/v1/forensic/diat_intro.htm) and it seems that diatoms are found in natural water. I'm not sure if you'd find them in a chlorinated pool...

Honestly, I thought they had at least one time planned to challenge scientific evidence.....although this "accidental drowning" appears to be something thought of at the proverbial 11th hour. It has been almost three years, and if there was any merit to the theory the DT could have approached the SA long ago.......
