The Padilla's received multi millions in free publicity for their series on National Geographic Channel, The Bounty Hunters.

They have lots of experience over the many many years and had to realize Baez (who they also met with before she was bonded out) and the subject of her talking to them would have come up. I don't see any sign of surprise on their part, do you?

Ahhhh.......I see. So posting the bond was simply for publicity? I was having a hard time understanding why someone would risk that much money for a complete stranger.

chances are since lee picked him up during or right after the phone call that it was probably lee he was talking with. they were probably discussing the people they think have caylee. that's what i'm saying. whether that person has caylee or not isn't the point. the point is THEY think that person does and have said they're watching them.

Gotcha...however. I don't believe that they really "believe" that. When they are cornered with facts they resort to lies. Its just more lying and confusion to get in the way of the investigation of Casey.

So true . . . we lawyers frequently refer not to "my client", but "my guy", "my lady", "my gal", etc. I wouldn't make too much of that.

Lee probably wanted to prevent George from taking a punch at someone. He has a temper...who knows it better than family. (He might have been on the phone with someone trying to sue DD over the pizza--sounds like them)

Casey is a spoiled brat with a borderline personality disorder that has been undiagnosed or ignored by her parents.
Goggle this disorder. To the one who has it you are a friend or an enemy. You can be, in the sick person mind get changed back and forth from day to day, hour to hour even minute to minute. The people dealing with this, especially if they do not understand what is happening end up looking just a nutty as the sick person.
If you can convince the one with the disorder that you believe her fantasy life then she will share bits and pieces of her fantasy life. They are always in the process of creating a new plan to make this fantasy life happen. If you show any signs of not believing her fantasy then she hates you, shuts you out and will clam up. They are the center of everything. The world revolves around them. All of this girls actions, her indifference to her missing child, her self absorption, her concern about not speaking to her boyfriend and her demand for his phone number, her tone with her parents and her not co-operating with LE. Casey speaks more freely to her mother and brother. Her father is LE he is an enemy. Lee questioned her. Is there anything else you can tell me about where she (Caylee) is? Casey reaction is short and snotty. Casey acts the same with the girlfriend on one of the calls. Listen to them again. Listen to how Casey responds when questioned as to how she responses if the caller is in agreement or accepting of what she says. Go to youtube and listen to the tapes.
Casey’s new fantasy life is ‘Tony will be her new soul mate’ and she will do whatever she has to make this plan work. Is Caylee part of the plan? Do not known. She did take the little girl over to Tony’s so maybe at first. The ‘plan’ may have changed.
I my little sister has this and it took us years to figure out what was going on. She was 41 when the fit hit the shan. When we all sat down around the table and starting comparing notes. That was when we finaly realized OMG she has been conning us for years.

Does anyone honestly think it would have been in their best interests to ANTAGONIZE Casey by threatening to take Caylee away?

IMO, if they tried that, she would have left with HER DAUGHTER & then they would have known without a DOUBT that Casey was not allowing them to speak to Caylee. That leaves them hoping Casey would back down OR going to court & fighting a nasty custody battle that they very well might lose.

Even though the mother is a 22 year old jerk & is going nowhere fast.... she's still the mother & they're STILL only the GPs in the eyes of the court.

I just can't blame them for not knowing HOW dangerous Casey would become.

I think this is exactly what happened. Cindy threatened to get custody, Casey left, Cindy thought Casey was being a stubborn b@tch and punishing her by withholding Caylee, not even letting her speak to her, but had no clue to what degree she was going to be withheld. And everyone is focused on the 31 days, if whatever happened happened on the 16th, Cindy could have gone looking for her after she got off work the first day and the overall outcome would be exactly the same. LE would have an easier time, but it wouldn't change the outcome for Caylee.

that sounds about right to me. and a good vent for his frustrations right now. personally, I feel it was a very sick joke, and I can understand if they would like to prevent things like that from happening again.

It doesn't have to control the rest of the family, it gives Casey a reason not to answer. I am sure if anyone persists in questioning her she has Baez on speeddial to contain the situation.

I respect what your saying, but my GM raised me, and if my way too young, hard partying mother (which she was) took off with me, she would have found both of us and brought both of us home. No amount of threatening, kicking, screaming from my mother would have stopped her and it wouldn't have taken her 31 days. I guess I am lucky I have a "real" grandma.

and personally, i think Lee picked him up because TBH, it's simply not SAFE for any of them to be walking around unguarded. Too many people hating them for how they think they are behaving, I'm sure they have gotten their share of threats. Lee would want all of them in the house.

Just watched it. They said it was after Casey arrived home. After showing her release, the car arriving at the Anthony home, the reported said a few words and then said, "a short time later, George Anthony was seen walking and talking on his cell phone."

Well, would you want to risk talking if you were pretty sure they had laser microphones pointed at your house? That's why Baez says no talking about Caylee unless he's there.... that way he can stop any incriminating statements in midair because he knows she's guilty as sin.

I can't help but continue to think about this case so much- in reference to what is going on now. It's a shame that the police lied, to get those wire taps, and then lied about what was on them.

I agree. I have always been a person that just can't have "unfinished business" so there is no way that I could ever stifel myself in this urgent, desparate situation. Hell I would even consider giving her a blast of sodium pen when no one was looking. :innocent:
