O/T it is from a new book just being released-it summed up my feeling about this case somewhat...

OT - That might explain why I'm not familiar with that quote. What book?

  • #262
I sure didn't and don't. I took it to mean..."You should know, Mom! You were right there!" :waitasec:

I also took it that way..to me her voice influctions made it seem like YEAH RIGHT..as IF you don't know.

  • #263
That's exactly what I thought also....

Casey can't BELIEVE her mother would even question her nanny story!

She sure piled on the guilt, didn't she.... mom gets me arrested AND thinks I might be lying.....

no wonder she didn't want to talk to all the negative people & figured she'd rather chit chat with Tony.

Yeah, cuz I mean, what would be the first thing YOU'D wanna do when you just got thrown in the clink for suspicion of involvment in your own child's disappearance??

People so dangerous that they can't even tell LE, the FBI OR Swat teams to swoop in & rescue her & they think they can scare the person into just giving up?
Yet GEorge claims they are being watched and not be LE>

This is such a frustrating case, and sorry, but it's making the local LE look inept. Casey is basically holding everyone hostage with her refusal to talk. SHE is the real kidnapper.

LE does not look inept. They would be if they fed the media every piece of evidence they have! They are quietly putting together a case....and hoping they will find the body. The circus the Anthony's have created is seen for what it is. A refusal to deal with reality and a way to keep their daughter, who killed Caylee, out of jail. IMO

That is a very good point Seriously. I'm thinking that LE (not local) have had these "people" under surveilance for some time. As for actually talking to them - no, not yet. Could be a very "sensitive" issue. They (LE) could have an "informant" that has come to them about it all. Or - could be that they already have her in a "safe house". We (the public) have no right to know that - not at this point. I don't believe there will be any prosecuting "them" for taking Caylee as I believe "they" have every right to her.

They (LE) are only interested in solving this case and any other cases that have arisen from this. They do not care about the sheeple going out voluntarily searching or the media frenzy this has turned in to. LE has not ASKED anyone to search - nor will they.
No LE has had "these people" under any kind of surveillance anywhere. It is not a sensitive issue when it comes to hiding a child in a nationwide manhunt for that child. If LE anywhere on this planet KNEW where Caylee Anthony was being kept...she would be in custody immediately where they could guarantee her safety.

The public would be notified as soon as they had her in a safe place. There would be no delay. They would be simultaneously working to issue warrants, pursue other people, and to track down every trace of evidence of the people responsible for her going missing including Casey. They have NO reason to keep it quiet for Gosh sakes!!

No one has ANY right to Caylee right now except Law Enforcement. She is considered missing plus in clear and immediate danger. This would supercede anything that anyone else produces to state otherwise (which they could not have anyway since no paperwork has been filed as to transfering custody from the mother).

I have pretty good intuition and something tells me this is what Casey thought when she got up this morning.

I'm a superstar, I'm more popular right now than my idols, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. I'm all over the TV, I'M FAMOUS!!!! It's about time I start getting the attention I deserve. Everyone hates me because they are jealous. Everyone hates you when your famous. I think I need to hire me an agent.

To a BPD person like Casey. Attention is good, rather it's positive or negative.

***snipped***

I believe LE (not the local LE) know where Caylee isand yes, she is alive and well and not in any danger. I have had my thoughts and doubts about this for some time now. This three rign circus will continue to play out until the forensics are released to the public. And who is holding that up? Certainly not Casey, Baez, BH or the GP's.

Huh ???......LE ((not local) knows where Caylee is & simply left her there???
Did they *give* these people *official custody* of this child ???

Isn't it 'Child Protective Services' JOB to investigate/ decide WHERE an abandon child lives ???

If this was the case WHY would they continue told hold Casey on such a high bond ???.......

I hope you're right in that Caylee is alive & well.......but, I doubt any LE has found her & made a decision to leave her there without ANY NOTIFICATION to the next of kin.

Thankx for the link Blink (hahah I'm a poet and don't know it)

That article is from July 22 - very early on. From the AP which I hold as one (if not the only) credible media resource.

Baez's comments (per the article) are:

This is not a capital case, and if it were they certainly would file it, if they had evidence to," Baez said. "There is circumstantial evidence of a possible homicide, I will give them that. But circumstantial evidence has not made them confident enough to charge her with any specific homicide or kidnapping, or any capital offense

So he does admit to the circumstantial evidence - we have not gotten confirmation that any evidence has tested out. Being that this was very early on - yes he could make that statement. Now - in light of the time that has passed - and there are still no results (released anyway) - doubt is coming more and more to the forefront. Also, back around July 22 - he was just getting his feet wet. He might not have been privy to all the information he is now. "Things" have been found out.

Baez should KNOW that atty/client conversations cannot be taped.

Is that true? Can't they just tape them and not have any hope of using it in court? On the surface it seems like a great idea.

Personally I view the police as my freind. Luckily I've never had much contact with them but if I was in trouble or feared for my family's life they are the FIRST people I'd trust.

Me, too...I've had my 'rebel days' and was friends w/ some bad azz people, but I would not hesitate to contact Police, it's the right thing to do. The Anthonys excuses for not cooperating, fall on deaf ears. That's all they are, imo, EXCUSES.

peace9274, lol did you gather those blueberries up?

You're kidding...... right?

I looked at the blueberries.
I turned and looked at the clock.
NG had just started!

What would you do?

I don't know that he thinks people are naive.... I think it's just his 'tough guy' style of projecting himself that isn't playing very well in such an emotional case.

That personna might be very successful when he's out catching criminals but the guy is NOT quick on his feet when it comes to talking on camera to lawyers OR pundits. He obviously did NOT do his homework before he rushed to start talking. Bad, bad move.

if this was a movie, I'd say he was MISCAST & he's the wrong person to play the role.
He's relentless at promoting that drugstore theory. Maybe he keeps saying it to

1. buy time while Casey runs down the clock on any possible excuse for not coming up with solid information leading to the recovery of her daughter

2. needle Miss Casey about something he knows darn well won't happen, because Caylee is dead

The longer the bounty dudes hang around waiting for Casey, the more pressure Casey is under to come up with Plan B. Or C.

I can't follow this post at all .

It's been that way all day. I said earlier it was like a bad game of telephone. I think it's time for me to take a time out.......... After NG, I think I need it. That was just an hour of my life I'll never get back and if I was in Orlando right now, I would be in front of Casey's house with a bullhorn after that show.........

Toothpicks WORST quote......IMHO....I find it hard to believe that a mother of a 3 yr old would hurt her child...........

Thats odd. Wasn't he the one that the couple who killed their child and buried her in their back yard in Denver confessed to? This is the case where he got the screwball idea that if you take a suspect out of jail they will talk.
