Lee has a "serious" girlfriend --- who seems to be staying out of the entire situation....

Which is way impressive, if you think about it.

  • #402
Have there been any recent Lee sightings? Seems like he's kinda dropped off the radar, IMO. And I don't remember reading anywhere (probably missed it) what he does for a living; where he lives; is he married or does he have a girlfriend? He's the only one who can come and go from the Anthony house as he wants to, and we haven't heard anything recently about media 'chasing' him. We think (my hubby and I) he needs to be watched. Maybe we can beat this one up for a while?

Last I saw, he was hiding in the bushes with the hose....just in case. Because, you know, Cindy ordered him to. No wait, he was giving poisonous pizza to LP, in hopes he would get stomach cramps and have to remain in the RV bathroom.

I don't know...I like this guy as a wildcard now, because if you watched Geraldo last night, IMO that's exactly what he's turned out to be. He was as dismissive of Baez and Casey last night as I'd ever seen him be. He's going to investigate himself and find Caylee, and he's giving notice to all parties that if they won't do something, he will. Even if he's blowing smoke up their butts, he's doing a good job (you don't know how this pains me to say that he may be doing something "right) of applying pressure and media attention in areas not well articulated by law enforcement. There appear to be 3-4 separate professed investigations going on:

1) The search for Caylee alive (OSCD missing persons unit)
2) The search for Caylee deceased (OCSD elite investigators in the Sex Crimes unit, FBI)
3) The search for Caylee alive (Jose Baez, his team)
4) The search for Caylee alive (The Anthony family sans Casey)

How are all these people searching separately and no one is communicating with each other towards the common goal of FINDING Caylee? Distrust, ego, you name it.

Sounds just like the people at my work. Everybody tooting the "TEAM-work" horn, while going off in their own direction, never sharing information with anyone else.

I doubt that some lawyer three years out of law school has the resources to break this case, given that it's Orlando LE's highest priority and that the FBI is also involved. Of course Baez is the only player with access to Casey. But you'd have to believe that Caylee was really kidnapped or otherwise given to another person in order to believe that Baez has a pipeline to meaningful information that could bring Caylee home alive.

I don't.

GR: Jose, he referred to you very specifically, you know we hold you in high regard as an attorney. You got a defense to mount on lying to the authorities and child neglect. How are you going to balance that responsibility with the desperate need for your client to cooperate with the authorities to find this child, if the child exists?

JB: Well, we're going to do everything we can at the moment. And we're not going to sit back and take a reactive role like the police are. We're actually taking a proactive role and we're going out there and trying to find her. So we're trying to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together. It's difficult with all of the resources that we don't have that police have but we're not going to sit back and wait for tips to go follow up on them. We're going to go out there and try and follow up on them immediately rather than waiting for a month or so to go by before we actually talk to people who say they have spotted Caylee. It's very frustrating on our part but we are going to move forward the best we can. And quite frankly, that's all we can do.

GR: And you'll be on trial by January 9, 2009 according to the constitution of the state of FL. Leonard Padilla (and some pleasantries)

LP: I'm not a bail bondsman.

GR: As I talk to you, I'm going to show our exclusive interview that shows the tour of the RV (paraphrased). What happens to your money if Casey IS indicted for murder?

LP: That's not the problem. What we're in the process of doing right now is ordering a 2500 ping service. That will give us where she was every 2 minutes between the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th.

GR: How are you going to do that? How are you going to get that? What is that?

LP: You order it. You pay for the service, they give you the ping and it follows her cell phone every two minutes for the 5 days we are interested in. 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th. Okay? Just like the law enforcement pinged the airport, we're goign to ping her for 5 days except for when she was in bed asleep. It gives you a trail of who she met.

GR: Who's side is LP on, Jose?

LP: I'm on my side. I'm not on his side. He's a defense attorney. I can't even talk to his client. But it will give us the 5 peoples' activities who met with her. Amy, Ricardo, JP, her boyfriend and we will track the cell phone. Probably even to the pizza shop where she ordered the pizza on the night of the 19th. But we're interested in who was holding the child, where she dropped the child off until they got her up to where we believe is in New York

GR: Makes sense to me Judge.

Argument here because LP was interrupted.

LP: They have 5 days to in which to bring her back or we're going to go out there and find the child actively.

GR: You are going to give Casey Anthony 5 days to bring the kid back or you are going to go after.........

LP: No, I don't care about her. The people who are holding her. They aren't holding her against her will. She knows who she passed the baby off too and it was a voluntary situation. Doesn't have anything to do with a kidnapping.

GR: Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go.

I'm forever pounding into my son's head that he should never, never use his real name, age for anything on the web. And I won't allow him to have a myspace page. If he wants a webpage that bad, I'll get him his own domain name and space. That way I can really monitor what he does.

Thank goodnes i'm an empty-nester their internet activity is out of my hands...:woohoo:

Sorry it took me so long to write that last part up. DH was giving me a hard time being on the 'puter. ;-)

Correct the name on the page is rarely the real name of the owner of that page. My page is named rozey which isn't my real name...my son is sandmonster...darn i would hope thats not his real name...LOL
I'm babs. LMAO. I get many e-mails saying "Can I be your friend"? Of course I delete them. Good Lord! I think my account went "dead" because I didn't "utilize" it. I started one during the Trenton Duckett case. Why, I will never know. :bang:

SS, have you looked at King Merk, aka Patrick Walker's myspace site?
I'm listening to the tape, again.

mike walker, not patrik walker right?

I agree McSev - we've not seen her at the house or posted all over sites as "knowing" something......

here's the quote:
7/15 Tue 11:38pm msg from Amy to a friend:

A person who I thought was my friend stole money one night while I was sleeping and made up a story about how I got up in my sleep and put money away for the trip I was going on (I got back today, it was a great trip!). I bought that, she's my friend, but after today I know it was her. I let her use my car while I was gone and my check book was in there. Account cleared out. Hopefully I'll be able to get that back... but yeah... overall... about a grand. Which isn't even the worst (for me it is...) apparently her kid has been missing for a month. She claims the nanny stole her and was too afraid to tell her mom. So, as bad as all this is, there is a little girl out there (hopefully) that I'm way worried about. Anyway, how are you?

but i keep coming back to the time thing. anyone know what time the 911 calls were made? i seem to recall cindy saying the last one was made after 10pm but i can't find the official call times anywhere, just the transcripts.

I'll say it again, there is something about Amy

Isabelle,

I have a myspace, but it is private with a fake name to sign up so people can not search my name. I only have added people I know, my default pic is not a pic of me or my family, and I am private. I only have it because I have friends scattered across the US and it is convienent to stay in touch with them. You can never be too careful with the internet.

The myspace thing cracks me up here. People who haven't actively been on myspace for years get excited over the littlest things. I did the same as far as getting a page to make certain my child was not crossing the lines on there...altho she was well aware I was and didn't spy.

...while one of my sons got so upset that I created a private account, thinking it was to spy on him, that he deleted HIS account... which of course made me very, very suspicious (where before I was not). :) Kids aren't too smart about their mothers....

It's a matter of privacy mom, a matter of privacy.

Also --- Ive seen pictures of Cindy and Caylee, Casey and Caylee, Lee and Caylee -- but not of Cindy, Casey, and Caylee - or George and Caylee - George and Casey - Cindy and Casey --- no "Christmas, Thanksgiving, Sunday Funday" entire family ...........

Tell him to go get his own. THat'll solve that problem and keep him busy.

IIRC it was just after 9pm. But has it been determined when Cindy took Amy home? Or maybe she was chatting with them on myspace or other??? I must say so many things about the players and timeline are confusing. Who knew what, when and how???

Seems like I remember reading that Amy went to Cindy's house to tell her where Casey was. Do you think they were all in the same car? I dunno. Or did Amy call Cindy or take Cindy where Casey was? Did Cindy follow in her own car?

This is an excellent post. But as we know, this generation takes social networking to an extreme that other generations do not. You mentioned the pictures: none of those pics bother me except for the fact some of them may have been taken when Casey was supposed be conducting her own investigation about where Caylee was. The content doesn't phase me, but the timing of some of them do. I was much worse at that age than Casey about my party-hardy lifestyle sans a daughter and was just fortunate no one took pics of me and posted them on the Internet :-)

ZG is a non entity in this: even the FAMILY has said so and LE has cleared her. Over the last 2 weeks, the name ZG hasn't even come up. The family is "watching" somebody, IIRC.

The only thing I have to say about the friends is everybody seems to know Casey on a semi-surface level and that's it. Unfortunately, that's not going to prevent the defense from trying to cast reasonable doubt by including them. It's very sad, especially if they didn't have a damn thing to do with it.
You and me both McSev...those were the days my friend. :)

I hope this case doesn't turn out like the Van Dam case where the family and friends of Danielle's parents (also the son of the defendant!) were thrown under the bus by the 🤬🤬🤬 Westerfield.

I don't really see it as frightened. I saw it more like "Who the heck? Go away weird stranger, I have law books to read." But not knowing her, I don't know her facial expessions, so frightened could be right.

I didn't see it as frightened either. I am more in agreement with your "who the heck are you" comment. I felt she was puzzled/annoyed.
