Caylee Anthony General Discussion Thread #79

I don't recall reading anywhere if the keys were left in the car either. I also wonder if Tony might have asked her about taking the car seat out, because she would have had to use it later.

I can't imagine that he would have. Guys, that age and without kids, don't really think about that kind of thing. Also, Caylee hadn't been around for a while at that point (IIRC, the guy who was staying with Tony while he waited for his own apartment said he last saw Caylee there 6/13) - she was "with the nanny/with the grandparents" per Casey, so there wasn't a pressing need to have the seat.

Does this quote bother anyone else..This is from one of the jail conversations..it bugs me..They need to find out why else she would have been at Universal. We KNOW she didn't work there..she says it wasn't for fun...UGH it bothers me.

LEE: So you were up there for fun or whatever?

CASEY: It wasn’t necessarily fun, but yes not through work at that moment…

LEE: I’ve got you, ok, I understand.

Has anyone discussed the possibility of Caylee getting lost or "taken" at Universal, or, worse, of her being put there after her (hope it isn't so) death? JMO...

plus chances are he thought from what casey said that she already called her dad and he was going to be picking up the car. i'm sure tony didn't think the car would be there that long.

The Anthony's received a notice on Sat. July 12th from the post office that the PO had tried to deliver a registered letter earlier that week. It was Monday or Tuesday before they went to pick up the registered letter and learned that the 1998 Pontiac registered to Cindy had been impounded.

George went to pick the car up at the impound yard on July 15th. At that time he said that car smelled bad and he had to drive with the windows down and felt sick. When he got the car home they went through it (Casey's purse?) and found Amy's phone number. Cindy called Amy to ask where Casey was. Amy told Cindy that Casey was at Tony's apartment. Cindy picked up Amy, who showed Cindy where Tony's apartment is, and that's where she found Casey. But, Caylee wasn't with Casey.

I know I'm 15 pages behind, so sorry if this has been addressed. I don't think this is accurate. It's hard to say because of the varying stories, but the note with Amy's phone number was found on Casey by the police after they picked her up to find where the nanny lived. Weeding through what has been said, it is my opinion the registered letter was picked up on the 15th, GPs, at least Cindy, got mad the car had been impounded, so she dropped George at the lot and then went looking for Casey. I do not think Cindy had any contact with that car until after she got back from shopping for a LE agency to turn Casey in at, between 911 call 2 and 3, but I would love to know for sure.

:waitasec: The way Casey seems to lie....IF the car seat was mentioned
IMHO.... she simply told TonE that GP would pick up the car....have it repaired .....then pick up Caylee from the nanny....
thus no need for her to take the car seat....or produce Caylee for a few more days..

And Tony hadn't seen Caylee in weeks at this point. Casey as a "mom" dealing with toddler logistics was not a significant part of their time together. They met in late May, Tony last saw her at the swimming visit (where the neighbors said they saw her and heard her saying "look at me") which was early June. By the 24th Casey had explained away her mothering duties, someone else was doing it. I find it highly unlikely Tony inquired about the carseat at all, it isn't like he had been pushed into a stepdaddy role and would be highly aware of what the toddler care would require.

Yep, a little bit. Mainly because Lee says "I've got you, ok, I understand". It's possible he was just being agreeable cause I think they both knew they were being taped at that point. But...

Does he really get it? If so, why? What was she doing there?

Perhaps Lee, whom we know kept at least the phone number of Casey's current BF, whom Casey hadn't even been dating 2 months when she was arrested, also knew enough about his sister's daily routine to know that she was at Universal for some no-good reason....

Maybe I did get Tony and Jesse switched--I don't know, I could've sworn that it was Tony's Dad freaking out and blogging on his myspace page.

I've been trying to go back and refresh my memory cause the news was coming so hard and fast at one point. But another thing to add to the timeline (Thankyou Hailiejade! for getting those myspace comments before Lee delted them!)

i miss your happy 🤬🤬🤬, plus, you need to join me for a few beverages, and the ALL WHITE PARTY, at fusian. i never asked...do you like sushi?? get at me brotha!

The raw video of George hooking up the trailor to the car just tore my heart out....I went from thinking that they know more than they are saying to seeing a desperate man grasping for the last short straws of something he'll never get - Caylee home safe. His last move of kissing his hand and touching Caylee's face was not for show. You can see during the whole "interview" he was just trying to hold it together.

For all of those ripping these people apart, take a moment to watch this - and remember the reason we are all here - Caylee.

I'm not saying I agree w/ every step this family has made during this investigation, but it made me step back and I think showed him as a real person trying to deal w/ the tragedy that has fallen upon his family.

I agree - it's terribly sad and I do wish that these folks could do a little grieving without everyone watching them...I blame their daughter for this. If she'd only open her mouth and tell the truth...

no, it was Jesse's

Tony = the present/recent ex who picked her up

Jesse = the ex who's father sent email about his son not being the father along with other things.

Has it been confirmed that Tony picked her up?

Did anyone hear a news report that they were planning to use
a new technology to test the air in Casey's car? I don't know
if it was CNN or Fox but it was defintely on one of them.

I saw it hear on the board that they were sending samples to the Body Farm. I am concerned that that is a bad sign as far as the samples in the trunk from a forensics standpoint. If the stain in the car had come back as Caylee's DNA and could be identified a decomposition fluids why would they need the air tested?

Btw- I believe they have had those tests back for sometime and are not releasing the results as they said directly they weren't going to until they were ready. I think they came in just before that search warrant was executed and released. JMO

Doe's anyone else think that the tread should be closed, and a new one started.

I questioned the same thing. I am begining to think that they may not have definitive DNA results.

Listening to her chilling attitude and anger in the phone call to mom, she is the one who is smart and calling the shots, mom is just dumb and pathetic. I really believe Casey feels quite confident Caylee will not be found.

I think if Cindy was more of a crier and was more vulnerable the perception would be different. She is very flat emotionally with flares of anger. George yelling at the reports and just losing that composure for a moment changed many posters feelings about him. I agree that I don't think they have handled everything correctly and they have said some stupid things, but I have been through a publicized crime with family member and it was a nightmare, and it was nowhere near this level of coverage and nowhere near this length of time. They have to be exhausted and numb by now.

not that i know of but since this is what we've been told i figured it was the easiest way to remember who each was. she was getting mixed up

Could it be that GPs were building their case to file for custody of Caylee?

Unless Caylee was (I hope it's not so) deceased and they knew/suspected it at that point, then I agree the GP's were beginning to build a case to file for custody of Caylee - which is also why I think Cindy decided to finally call the LE on her stolen car and have Casey arrested for it... Course, I also think Cindy, who had smelled the decomp in the trunk when she made the first 911 call, suspected before the 911 calls that something may have happened to Caylee and that calling the LE would smoke it out of Casey - but it didn't - and that's why Cindy's last 911 call is so frantic sounding... So sad.

I know I blogged about it on July 26th before I found this site. So it's written out there someplace. It appears Eyewittnes New may have spoken to someone. I don't have a link in my blog to reference where I got that info for my post. :(
