It pinged your hinkometer? You think there's another agenda at work?

The police report (public record): "He called me before I could call him. He mentioned that the defendant is a habitual liar. He told me that on June 25th, he received a call from the defendant who was trying to cheer him up over a recent job loss. She told him she was free this weekend if he wanted to get together. They used to date. She said that Caylee was with the "nanny" and they had gone to the beach for the weekend. After learning of this incident, he immediately called me to let me know this and now it contradicted with what the defendant had been telling everyone."

i cant really explain it. its just something doesnt just accept this puzzle piece - it seems manufactured in a way.... why did he take it upon himself, at this moment as he was leaving his job, to be a hero and correct the public record? if he hadn't spoken to casey in quite some time, why was she calling him out the blue to console him about his job? and if he thinks that she is a habitual liar, why did he go to the beach with her that weekend? i dont know. i used to think, if anything, jesse just adored her and would do anything she asked; it's all just so...convenient though. the paternity test, the DNA evidence, the testimonial evidence. i don't know.

I'm sure somebody's thrown the it out long before I did, but it just hit me while I was typing my reply. I know plenty of people who have given younger siblings or extremely good friends a key, especially when there were periods of extreme friction in that person's house, and a couple of guys who have given them to girlfriends early on. I remember in earlier threads, people were speculating that Cindy paid for the nanny also -- if this is true, Casey had a steady stream of income, and the it could have just gone on and on and on.
If Casey is a "working girl", she might have a bolt-hole apt either on her own, or shared with others, for uh, work.

Could be why she periodically needed to steal money, if the rent was due and she hadn't been working.

Not at all! I have contemplated this a few times myself. I keep coming back to Cindy's for some reason. If Casey were at anyone else's house...she probably wouldn't care if Caylee was on the table if you think about it. But OMG if her mom found out she was on HER table...well think about it.

Since it seems we've had multiple people/friends in different sources saying they didn't know Casey had a child, might Casey have concocted a story that she was telling various friends about her mom (or whatever) and how she had to get out of the house for awhile, etc. and could she stay there during the day just to get away, or however Casey spun it, and really she was there with Caylee (if going with the timeline that whatever happened occured between the 25-27th)...thus she didn't want Caylee on the table b/c when Casey was there (in the mind of the friend, or whomever, by HERSELF) she was actually there with Caylee? So not wanting her daughter on the table/counter/whatever getting into things where she might wind up leaving "evidence" that a child had been there as well?

Alternately, could it have been a public table? Like in a restaurant or something? It'd be odd that no one at this point would come forward to say they saw her, but perhaps not out of the question. If she were wanting to "go missing" from mom (Cindy) for awhile, someone "spotting" her b/c she was in a restaurant with a child attracting attention climbing on a table would probably be something Casey wanted to avoid.

Then again, I'm still thinking Casey could have been out at a friends or with friends and if there were other background noise (tv, other people chattering, etc.) it could have just sounded like Caylee, unless he really truly spoke with her. Even then with background peripheral noise a few words it might be hard to be completely certain.

sorry, should have weighed in earlier- I agree. He was scripted, imo. Should be interesting to see most recent visit.
yeah....it was almost like he was reading off of a checklist

To be honest..............it was on one of the threads in the past two days, before the upgrade, but I don't remember which one. I just remember reading that someone found a post on another board..............it may be Topic..........where someone said they were a friend of Casey's at one time, and that they had always heard that Casey didn't know who the father was........it was a one-night stand. I had forgotten that post until the subject of prostitution was mentioned in this thread.
I think we can discount it. It was the one that came off of Craig's List and could have been written by anyone!

Not only that, if Cindy was really driving past her own car twice a day, how come she never noticed it?
And why did she report it stolen if it could so easily be explained?

Not only that, she reported it stolen after she got it back.

And you'll notice Casey was not arrested for grand theft, auto or otherwise.

Possible...but have you seen these people party?!?! I am really doubting that they would notice if a child had been on a table. They might notice if she had gotten into the Jagermeister stash tho!!

why would jose do this? why would a defense attorney ever want to trick their client into talking like this? it would be a really risky move - god forbid she said something that you didn't want out there. trial advocacy: "always know the answer to your question, before you ask it." (i.e. don't set yourself up for surprises). can you explain?

Actually, it isn't just the lull! LOL Go back to any thread and look at what we were discussing. Here we have over 20 and they all say basically the same thing. I don't see where we are really gaining any ground here.
no new info and covering the same ground = standstill = lull. Hopefuly tomorrow will bring something else.

Alright, let's look at what has Suzi's hinky meter going bonkers.

For instance, if Casey just needed someone to watch Caylee while she partied, wouldn't it be more convenient for her to let Cindy watch her? I figure Casey is all about convenience. Why DID she keep putting her mother off when she asked to see Caylee? She did that from day 1, starting on June 15/16?

They cannot charge Casey for that since the family already said publically the car was given to Casey by the parents to drive. She did NOT steal the car. I don't know where Cindy even came up with that one.

He didn't set to trip her up. He made sure that Casey had the exact answers he wanted her to give to answer the exact questions he wanted Lee to ask. They both were VERY scripted because Jose knew these would be released to the public. He wanted to put on a show.

Casey has to say that Caylee was stolen early on the 16th because she can not produce one witness who actually saw the little girl after that, can't produce an actual rented apartment for a babysitter, and the guy on the phone never saw Caylee. I'm even beginning to question the Father's Day nursing home visit, but surely other nurses or aides know Cindy and can vouch. Hopefully.

I think the video of Caylee reading at the assisted living home is dated, and that has to be the starting point. I'm sure LE has checked out the staff at the assisted living and has a time, and who was there (Cindy and Caylee or was Casey there too?). I think the staff would remember Caylee.

The questions is...........what happened after the nursing home visit???

I think until last month, Casey probably did leave Caylee at home in bed with her parents as free babysitters while she went out and did her thing.

She needed to come up with a substitute once she stormed off with a 2 year old in tow.

Also, she may not have been hitting the clubs on a constant basis before she started going out with a club promoter - the Fusian owner specifically mentioned her being there on Friday nights in June. Was she not partying as much earlier, or was she doing it at the alehouse and other places that aren't as well documented photographically?

Yes, indeed. THAT is the question, Leila! What happened and when did it happen?

  • #378
Yes indeed! This is their defense, I'm sure of it. I can hear it now!

Someone else was driving the car.

Zanny the nanny wanted a baby of her own so she stole Caylee. But don't tell anyone, we fear for our lives!

Zanny was the last person with Caylee, I sure hope she didn't do anything to her.
Ok, we all know that Cindy is now trying to cover Casey's a**, but as she's reading the script the attorneys have so carefully coached her on, does she realize she is now accounting for not only her daughter's innocence, but also her grandaughter's death. GM how could you!!

it pinged mine too blue... the 18 min call was verified by le from jesse to casey...but the part about actually hearing a child's voice.......?? poi could easily have staged it. also...who called whom? If casey put the call in to him as he was driving to resign his job (which makes more sense to me....) she could have been ready to use the good ole standby, jesse, who used to babysit, as her alibi...

just a thought..no flames please

I've been thinking there's more to Jessie's story too. He loved Caylee - Rev. said Caylee practically lived at his house for first year or year 1/2 - he wanted Caylee to be his. Maybe he's got a bunch of dirt on Casey - enough to put her in jail and have Caylee taken away from her for good. Maybe he tells her "I'm taking her and there's not much you can do about it - if I go down you go down. If someone really does have Caylee and Casey does not fear for her life and safety - she would have to be with someone who Casey knew well and trusted. Jessie fits the bill. Maybe she thought he would come to his senses if she could just wait the situation out. Maybe he feels Caylee would be better off with him. I'm only letting my mind wander.
